  1. Yeah, the blogs seem to do that.... Tis a big annoying, yeah. I assume you have a very small monitor. (You can read this?) Try selecting text to copy and past it into something like Notepad; might help... Or get a wider monitor.
  2. Vahiki, the disproof is as simple as Greg saying so. I'm pretty sure I saw the quote too. Though that's one I'd definately check with him on first anyways before writing it. Probably I won't include that one though, not for now. That's future storyline a long ways off for the moment.
  3. In fact, there is a walkthrough... Clicketh. Methinks he means for Ko-Koro, and that isn't done yet. If anyone wants to write one up, would be appreciated! I liked it better when MotR did the first walkthrough as opposed to if I would do it, since it's more true to what you guys would experience rather than just a bunch of spoilers from the designer(s). And MotR's busy, I believe.
  4. It's here! The first of the Part 2 levels in my RPG: The Map of Mata Nui, for the Bionicle Paracosmos, is now online! As promised! The level isn't 100% finished, but the important stuff is there, including storyline, 2 of 3 minigames, best graphics yet in the game, music, a new weapon, and more. Details are in the first post of the topic; the download is here: Download here! (Version 2.0) Have fun! I'll leave off this blog entry with the screenshots: (Ko-Koro) (Raitu's Hut Interior) (Kiraia Ice Fish vs. Snowball Chucker) (Sanctum Temple Exterior)] (Ice Bats are on Mata Nui) (Ko-Wahi Cable Car) Others: Chogo Attack Icicle Eatery Interior Library Interior Snow Dodgeball pic 1 Snow Dodgeball pic 2 Snow Slugs in Magic Battle Room

    Um...who's Left?

Ah. Glad to hear that. Still, though, let's stop posting here, kay, guys?

    Um...who's Left?

Discussion of this and all references to it in sigs and blogs need to cease immediately, guys. Don't let troublemaking members reflect poorly on you too. Doesn't matter who they were, they crossed the line knowingly.
  7. Good ones guys, and also the "Mata Nui was that Hau in Makuta's lair" can be covered by that one, Carnage. Good, good.

    I Be Back

For the record--I take the blame for not finding that error the first time I read your entry. Don't be embarrassed. It's just the nature of this contest. Very different from any BZP's ever had. (We usually don't have to worry about fitting with the official storyline, lol.)
  9. Good suggestions guys. I think I'd better hurry up and get an article with at least some of these up fast--the "Nuva are dead?" topics just keep on coming! Noting this for reference sake as well--no idea if this one counts or not.... (I thought everyone knew Matoro and co were already Toa? O_o)
  10. Great suggestions, guys! I thought up a few more myself; the blog entry is edited to include new ones. I included three of these; not sure about two. 2) The actual myth here is that he's evil, right? So it's confirmed he's good, I assume? I just haven't happened to see this info, lol--and I'm not assuming anything just 'cuz he's in the OoMN (Brutaka)... As for the Kaukau one, I'd rather not go there this time at least. If a definitive word can come from Greg on exactly what it does and does not work in (i.e. what is and isn't considered water in Bionicle), then maybe. That topic's still open for a reason, lol. A few of the ideas here are listed as "maybes" including some of mine. Not 100% sure that some are widely held misconceptions. Like the Voya Nui floating one that I thought up (I've only actually seen it once), or the talons thing (Yes, it's confirmed they have only four wings, no legs to have talons on, as MOL shows, although I'm not 100% about the status of the other versions of the bird; if they are simply totally unofficial now). Edit: Apparently people think the Nuva will use the Ignika to awaken Mata Nui, XD: here. (How do you folks think up these things?! ) Adding....
  11. I wonder why. Yes, Omi. All must become Pirates. It is destiny!
  12. I love blogs. Great way to organize you folks to do my work for me. (Kidding.. mostly...) *ahem* Well, after being busy for a couple months this spring then working on tons of S&T projects including the Contest which is only just now wrapping up, you all have noticed I'm sure that there haven't been any more Myths & Misconceptions articles for a long time now. There's tons of need for another one, but now that the search engine is offline for us FLs too now, it's gonna be hard to find all the things I had intended to include while my brain was fried due to excessive busy-ness. I have some already, but figured I might as well put out a call for you guys to remind me of anything that needs included this time around. I know for a fact I made some notes too that I seem to have lost. *sigh* So far I've been able to compile these off the top of my head:Voya Nui water corrosiveCalix makes impossible possible"Akua Nui" will be in storyKadin same as MiruElda can only find IgnikaYellow/gray not valid stone colorsThey seem to all be Voya Nui related, lol. Any from previous years I've so-far missed are wanted as well. In case you aren't aware of what the "M&M" articles are, here's the latest one: Bionicle Myths and Misconceptions IV. Edit: Good suggestions. Here's the list of new ones so far, including some I thought up:Mata Nui's element is light --from AdvocateMakuta is a Great Spirit (a reminder one) --from AdvocateCity of the lost is Matoran lost city/village --from Vader HaterKongu's and Krakua's Suletu are the same mask --from Ninja HandymanPast Toa of Light --from Bioran23Rahaga can speak Visorak language --from Turakii #1 LavasurferGukko have talons (maybe include) --from Turakii #1 LavasurferMatoro will definately wear the Kanohi Ignika --from Quantum-Phasically Charged TrakuShadow can be good in Bionicle --from will toa of plasmaRed Star is Artahka --from will toa of plasmaJaller destined to wear Ignika --from will toa of plasmaMask of Light on Voya NuiBionicle not on a planetVoya Nui's continent isn't undergroundNuva are deadNo wheels in BionicleVoya Nui floats in the air (maybe include)Ignika found in 2006 (maybe include)Nuva use Ignika to wake Mata NuiThat is a ton! 13. Actually, once I believed a day was a bad one and it turned out good anyways. (But yeah--quite true! Usually.... >_>)
  14. I would want third place too. XD Maybe... >_> Darn that Evil Lord Survurlode; he's slowing me down. *Grrrr*
  15. I have advice on sig reports, yes, lol. Patience. They are rarely dealt with immediately. That's normal. The globals and admins have lives after all like the rest of us, lol.
  16. In an hour, the final S&T #2 polls will be closed. There are still a few judging nitpickinesses that will need dealt with before the wins can be final... but when the wins -are- final, I'm going to have the entire complete list of entries in the Results Topic, this time without any judging notes stuck next to them at all--instead there will be little tags showing off how far each got in the polls. "Awards", as it were. In addition... there were just so many awesome entries that couldn't win in the end--there's only room for one winner per island--that I simply have to include a "bonesiii Honorable Mention" award. This will include many entries that didn't go to the semifinals. Probably several that didn't get to the finals, etc. Entries that I think deserve some recognition for their imagination that didn't get that recognition in the votes due to the unfortunate One Winner fact. While I'm at it, here's the "award" tags as I've got 'em: Semifinalist Finalist (bonesiii Honorable Mention) And this all means that... after today (or maybe tommorrow?) all of us judges will get to have our eyesight start to slowly return!
  17. So, ummm... I guess the only comment I can think of is... "XD"
  18. *wonders how sunglasses help blindness rather than worsen it...* () B) <--Because my cool is built in...
  19. Yup, lol. I mean, no! It's a royal palace! See the purple?
  20. Today the Bones Blog brings you an exclusive interview over the phone with the Cheif Minion of Evil Lord Survurlode--the sole architect of BZP's doom, or so he hopes. Yes, that's right, the Cheif Evil Clock himself has agreed to do an interview! He's graciously provided images to act as visual aids for his propoganda comments. No idea how he got the pics to go over the phone. Read on... bones: Well, thanks for your, um... time, Evil Clock. Why don't you begin by introducing yourself for those who aren't aware of you? Evil Clock: Not aware of me? Are you kidding me? Everybody knows me--or at least they know one of my millions upon billions of relatives. I am Evil Clock. Lord Survurlode invented me as part of his ongoing quest to disrupt BZP members' lives. He can raise his floods to swamp the server, but a guy needs his rest, ya know? So he can't be on all the time. Well, I, Evil Clock, pick up the slack by constantly reminding people that they need to be elsewhere, doing some important thing, to distract them from BZP. Here you can see my photo: bones: You look quite spooky. Evil Clock: I am spooky. Or at least I think so... it's not like I'm scared of myself or anything! bones: I didn't mean to imply that... So, moving on, why do you think Survurlode is obsessed with harming BZP? Evil Clock: "Obsessed"? That's such a strong word. It's really more of a hobby. bones: Really? Evil Clock: Well, he's lived thousands of years, being a brother of Sauron and all. He has lotsa time on his hands. Get it? Time! Ha ha! bones: Riiiight. So, moving right along... When did Survurlode come up with the idea for Clocks? Evil Clock: Well, that's an interesting story, actually. You see, the first clocks were actually invented by the Great Beings in ancient times. They were called water clocks, and since Survurlode has power over water, they drew his attention. He set his human and goblin slaves to work building a more advanced version, and soon came up with this prototype clock: bones: Looks complicated. Evil Clock: Sure was. He got the idea for the clockwork mechanisms from Vahki. He couldn't get the EVIL needed with this, however, so finally he "borrowed" a Vahki from Makuta when he was disguised as that Doom fellow. bones: It's "Doomah." Evil Clock: Whatever. Anyways, with much modification and power from... something... he was able to build me! The Chief of the Evil Clocks. bones: What was the "something"? Evil Clock: Sorry, that information is classified. bones: ...So you singlehandedly rule over all clocks in the world? Evil Clock: Well, brilliant as I am, we needed more clocks with their own evil minds. So we stole a Vahki production facility (Survurlode had to personally carry it out of Metru Nui), and began making tons and tons of clocks, and sent them out into the world. Here you can see a slave inside a Clock Production HQ, and here you can see a poor old woman paying homage to a Vaulted House Clock. Here's my personal favorite, a man enslaved by a "Clockcuff." bones: *glances nervously at his wrist* That's interesting. What's the story behind "clockcuffs"? Evil Clock: They were inspired by a magical device in ancient times that you can see in this photo of a genie--these magical beings were often enslaved by golden cuffs. Survurlode had his own prototype versions made, like this one: bones: Evil Clock: Yes, tremble! Millions of people are cuffed by these magical devices, which, again, have a mind all of their own, just like me. bones: Okay, I'm officially spooked and all, but these clocks seem easy enough to defeat. A hammer would do nicely... Evil Clock: Thought of that, have an answer. We needed more than just cuffs and Vaulted House Clocks, sure. We needed an army. Remember that image of the slave in the Clock HQ? bones: Yep... Evil Clock: He was building what was known as a Grand Elite Clock. A soldier with great power. Here you can see one of the armies of these clocks: bones: Okay, but an army needs organization, leaders. Do you have those as well? Evil Clock: Indeed we do. Here you can see a Royal Clock in his palace, surrounded by slaves: bones: Oy. I note that they are all elderly, though, with one exception. What about the millions of people who don't wear clockcuffs and who are able-bodied! I think we have room for an uprising here! Evil Clock: Dream on, skeleton dude. For that, Survurlode invented the Overlord Clock species. Here you can see one of them, my Uncle Benny: bones: B-but... i-i-it's not fair! Evil Clock: Evil is as evil does. bones: Okay, but what about computers? Nowadays we have computers. BZP runs on computers. Haven't we taken over technology for our own purposes, and left these mechanical things behind? Evil Clock: Click this pic, buster: Digital Clock. But see, ultimately, everything, from ovens (food sources) to cars (transportation) is ruled by one of my brethren. Even BZP is enslaved: bones: Evil Clock: Yes, nothing can stop us. We are a horde to rival the Visorak or the Bohrok. Toa? Psshh. Wimps. Under my fellow Evil Clocks, Lord Survurlode will conquer the entire planet! bones: Okay, but Lord Survurlode has one weakness, right? Evil Clock: Maybe... bones: Sauron had his One Telephone Ring. It was tossed into Mount Doom. Evil Clock: Mount Doomah. bones: Right... Survurlode has said that his own version, the One Refresh, is immune to that. But surely something else can destroy it. A nuke, perhaps? Tossing it in the sun? Evil Clock: Oh, look at the time! bones, don't you have some modding to do? A contest to run? An RPG to work on? Yes, yes, I think this interview has run long enough. Let me just leave you with this one image. It's me, in all my towering Overlord Chief glory, as Lord Survurlode summons his flood to swamp BZP's server. Evil Clock: And before you even think it--yes, I'm waterproof. bones: Darn. Evil Clock: *hangs up phone*
  21. When ya see a topic in LGD about the LEGO Drome Racing game, and don't see your name mentioned anywhere on the first page... it's a good sign you're waaaay out of it, lol. Many of you newer members probably don't even realize who I am when it comes to the drome. So today I thought I'd take a little zoom down memory highway... When the drome first came out, I logged on, because I love racing games, almost as much as battle games, so I thought, eh, why not? Might be fun. I was a little surprised at first that it wasn't a steering game--you don't actually get to drive the car down a track, you set up the race strategy beforehand and let the computer simulate the race. The music was what hooked me, I think. I loved that music. I had to pick a team of course, and H.O.T.--High Octane Team--stood out the most to me. So an H.O.T.er I became, and I was glad of it. My experience showed that it was indeed the best team, for the longest running time. Keep in mind that at this time, all that we had was a Jungle Track and a perpetual "Coming Soon" list of other tracks. And level D--nothing higher. But that fitted me too--I liked the Jungle track, and the car I had--a Scorcher--did what I needed it to do. I needed a name, of course, and couldn't think of one, so I looked at the avatars available. The Skeleton stood out most to me. So I became "bones." But that was taken--and I refuse to string some random "54721495" number at the end of a name. So I decided to go with Roman Numerals for 3... but even that would not quite do. It needed to be distinctive, and I knew immediately how it would be. It would always be lowercase. bonesiii. Not Bones The Third, but "bones triple 'i'". So I raced a few races, figured out some winning strategies, and found I was quite adept at it. Those strategies, which are still classified (), turned out to even more winning than I thought. I went in to check the high scores one time... and lo and behold. I was first place. Of everybody. What shocked me most was that I was the only one who seemed to have thought of my strategies. Now to be fair, it -was- a new game. I'd always wondered how people get to the top of such high-scores lists, and short of just plain insanity, I think most get there because they got a big head start. That was true in my case--but now how could I hold the lead? Well, that's classified. But hold it I did, for a long time. The game grew up, and many competent racers tried to pass me but failed. Somehow I managed to become the Drome's very first major, long-term champion. I held the lead for at least half a year, maybe more, though now my memory of it grows dim. Eventually a maverick passed me, but even after I was reduced to second place, H.O.T. still dominated the Jungle Track, and overall was ahead of every other team. With most, they were ahead by a lot. I don't know what it was, and I'd like to hope that my big forefront lead helped H.O.T. stay ahead so long. But I strongly suspect the main driving force was the everyday team member, working hard behind the scenes to push those numbers up like one of Lord Survurlode's floods. That Maverick soon passed me by thousands. So far ahead I could never catch up and also have a life--it was just a fun game after all, and by that time I was beginning to get involved here. And yet... Maverick did not pass H.O.T. That I could not have done alone. Not possible. Now of course, the drome is different. My old account didn't work (I actually had had to get a second one before due to a glitch, becoming "bonesiii_v2"--that one now is abandoned as well). I have a new screenname for the new Drome, and I did race some races for sheer nostalgia, but to be honest since then I've forgotten the password. It was fun for a time but now I've moved on "to bigger and better things" as it were (BZP! ). I have now officially retired. So there it is in a nutshell. Y'all might know me now as the storyline geek for Bionicle, but my original claim to fame was as a Drome Champion. To this day I keep the basic idea of a skull insignia as my avatar here, and obviously the name has stuck, although nowadays I give in a little and capitalize it sometimes. But the Drome wasn't special to me just because I was a champion. Frankly, I don't even care about that. What impressed me was the teamwork that I saw evidence of, even though nobody really knew each other and there was no method of communication (other than BZP and other such outside places, and I did have the honor of meeting many fellow dromers). When you think about, all online communities and indeed just about everything else works for the same reason. It isn't the "champions" that make something great. It's the whole team. And my tactics are still classified.
  22. Some Paracosmos news--first, I finally got around to updating something on the website. The reference section for the Paracosmos Kanohi has been "under construction" for a while, and recently I uploaded sketches of each and every one of the Kanohi that the Toa Olda know about and that is listed in the RPG. So why not make the guide? It's the same facts you can find if you talk to Vakama in the RPG, but here is it for easier reference sake: Paracosmos Kanohi Guide. Speaking of the RPG, good progress on Part 2: Ko-Wahi level has been made. We're hoping to get a skeletal version of Ko-Koro done and posted before Agents of Surrender is finished--the end of the epic will actually discuss some things that happen in this level, as already having happened, so there's no reason Ko-Koro can't go up soon. Not sure how soon that will be though; still got the final stages of the S&T Contest #2 to run. In the music department, with Black Six's help, looks like Part 2 will be even better than Part 1 in this category. Crossing fingers that it will work...
  23. Very good one, TI. *I vote "Foe!!11!1!"*
  24. Well, the ratings charts I've seen place it higher than any other movie (ever), and not just for the first few days--the "revisit" rate appears to be quite high too. Methinks these "many" who didn't like it are just the vocal minority, kinda like the vocal minority for Bionicle.
