Pain demands to be felt.
-
That video was interesting.

I didn't spend a lot of time around the Bionicle table but the times that I stopped by it looked like you were having fun which is great. The short times I did get to stop and talk to you and others were nice and I'm glad I got to see you. Hopefully in future events I'll spend more time with BZPower members and see you again!
-
It was great meeting you! I didn't spend enough time at the convention center to have hung out with BZP people more than I did, but maybe in future years I'll see you again!

Good to finally meet you!

Was good talking to you and being around you and some BZP people especially at the Organizer's Dinner. I've been to every BrickFair Virginia event except 2010, and this year was a lot different for me. I didn't spend much time around the convention center with people this year, but the people I did spend time with definitely were better interactions than past years. Looking forward to future years of BrickFair, and to be able to continue to interact with the BZP people I've known for a long time, and hopefully continue to meet new members/fans in years to come.

Just going to link to what I said in the topic about it on the forums: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/17672-bs01s-new-skinlayout/?p=879115
As to what Kayru said...
I know I'm not the only one who would've liked to be informed about this and/or review it before it was put on the website. Good grief, as a staff member who actually gets paid to do this for a living, I would have REALLY liked for one of the things actually ON MY RESUME to actually look tasteful.
For the record, you can have cleaner lines with vectors if it was actually done right, but there you have it. Lyichir was right in that the grid is all over the place and, while things line up, that doesn't mean they make any visual sense. There's no guide for the eye to follow. There's no consistent hierarchy or order. It's a flipping wall of blocked-up text. This also is a huge step backward for mobile friendliness, which I thought we were working toward. The social section is double-blocked for no discernable reason. There's not enough contrast between text and header to actually make it aesthetically clear, and I won't even get started on color.
Sorry but I'm not going to pretend to be OK about this. I'm mad.
At the very least, this is NOT ready to be the default site skin.
I definitely agree I would have liked to be informed about this. Thankfully this isn't one of the wikis I have on my resume, but it definitely doesn't look very pleasant.
I'm rather tired of all the ugly blockiness and boxes all over BS01. Bionicle never had boxes as a part of its visual identity, so why have a site about Bionicle look nothing like Bionicle ever did design-wise? Even back in 2001 when most of the web was boxy, the Bionicle website had more interesting designs than haphazard blocks everywhere.
And exactly. Never make a design the default before anyone else sees it and provides feedback+criticism on it.

I'll take one I guess

If you don't mind I've been meaning to try out Ace of Spades but never bothered to purchase it. Happy holidays to you, JMJ!

I'd be willing to pay for the Hau if it's still around by the time BFVA rolls around again.
How much though? That's all I'm really asking for in this blog post is what people would pay for an item.
-
And honestly, we're both underselling him. That set can go on eBay for $20.00. When in doubt, consult Brickset.
I've also been checking Brickpicker. The problem is it's sometimes harder to find a good value for exclusive or promotional items since their value really depends on what a collector is willing to pay, not how much I paid for it.
-
I will honestly be a little disappointed if you sell that Bionicle mask, seeing as we gave it to you free of charge...
Which is why I'm not selling it? I'm asking for what interested buyers would pay for it so I have an understanding of its current value.
-
I already called the Hau. I'd pay 20$ normally but am willing to go up to 30$ for it alone.
I'm only asking for people's assessment of their value. I'm not making any sales or reservations yet.
-
I'd be willing to pay $20 plus shipping for the Tahu Mask. $31 plus shipping if you include that Ninjago set.
Which Ninjago set? 9440 or 9557?
-
UPDATE: I now only have two (2) of 40084.
-
I'd take the Venomari Shrine for $9. ($8.60 @ 10 cents a part, plus .40 because it is Ninjago and has Zane in it.)
Price does not include shipping.
Cool, I think that's about what I bought the set for.
In that case, I'd be willing to throw in a seller's profit of at least a few more dollars. Maybe about $12 total for the set, and I'd pay shipping.
But that's just me. You could probably get a better deal on eBay.
Do you reckon the value will go up long-term? There's kind of nothing special about the set but I've been holding onto it because I have no more use for it opened than sealed.
-
I would definitely be interested in the Robot DJs. I'll offer $15 for both.
That sounds like a price I could be happy with. I'll let you know if I decide to sell them or hold onto them longer.
-
What's the going price?
I have no idea lol that's why I posted this blog.
Does $5-6 sound good? (It would also depend on whether BZP ever does the raffles of the pile they got)
If that's how much it's worth right now then I won't sell it any time soon haha

Oh I would definitely be willing to buy that Hau.
How much would you pay for it? I've gotten mixed answers so far as to what it's worth lol

That Hau has me excited. Where are you located? I just so happen to have 20$ spare.
I'm in Northern Virginia but like I said I'm not selling any of them yet. Just trying to get an idea of their value from interested buyers/collectors.

Shipping is fine, as long as you don't mind paying for it.Shipping it might be more reliable. But whichever is easier for you if you don't feel like getting a box for it and shipping it.
I'll just let you give it to my brothers. Will you just want me to pay you via PayPal or something?
