      Rations... you can feed him rations? Wow, that seems rather obvious now. XD

       

      He always follows my character... then hides when a big water monster shows up.

      Yes, go into the item part of the menu screen, select the item, hit a, and hit 'give'. It also works for giving items to other players. ;)

       

      Yeah; he gets better as his valor level increases. =P

      Yeah, I knew about giving to other players... but I never could figure out why Cha Cha's name was in there. XD

       

      Yeah, I noticed that. He takes on land-based large monster bravely, but flees in the water for some reason...
