You'd probably have to do something far more intentional and far-reaching to get banned from future contests and stuff. That WAS a sweet firing mechaism, by the way. <3 Like you, I rushed headfirst into things and wound up having to withdraw my own entry!

I imagine that there's going to be at least one disqualification (possibly my own! lol) as people accidentally plop non-Bionicle parts in without thinking. I'm so going to have to keep a Firefox tab open with a popular selling / set inventory site so's I can make SURE they're actually Bionicle. PRETTY sure you could only use pearl light gray (8935) and orange (8917). The black came in 2 multi-model sets (8925, 8927) with minifigs. I base that on this, which I interpret to mean, "It can be a Bionicle piece in any color, so long as that color occurs in a non-playset Bionicle set". This addresses this question as well, as I think they're confusing a rule on "color" with "manufacturing date".

I look at the Fallen figure and see just a bunch of inspirations haphazardly thrown together. I see someone trying to cash in on the designs of Terminator : Salvation coming out soon. I see someone trying to incorporate H.R.Giger's Alien look. I see (ew) the nightmare that was last year's Megatron (who isn't too different in this movie). And the worst thing is the unintentional thing I see... Beast Machines Strika's hands... which are totally unforgivable. This is just a mishmosh, a complete mess... like just about all the bad guys are!

I can honestly say I never would have guessed this about you. Your bravery in telling us is commendable.

Cool, but the dino mode (like 12 years later or something) still is unconvincing and he's missing MAD amounts of blue... like all of it! This confuses me completely. The more sets one sees, the better choice they can make in purchasing things now or later. Unless they're rich and buy everything, then maybe it's understandable.

ONE sticker I wish I'd kept was this BIG biodata all about Darth Vader's UCS Tie Fighter. I picked it up like 8 or 9 years ago at a Goodwill for something obscene like 20 bucks. So the other day I'm on the site where you sell Lego stuff... holy spumoni, people're selling the sticker for big bucks!

Miss Krahka, that gives me a funny photoshop idea. But first... a walk to the store for cheesy nachos / slushie / beef stick / god knows what...

Can you imagine what it'll be like for mods on websites like 5 years from now? I imagine a lot of messageboards will have video responses, as camera tech gets simpler and every off-the-shelf computer can easily handle the workload. Mods would have to WATCH every entry. They'll have to look for "illegal" things in the background, make discretionary calls on if someone's tone of voice is being snotty or not, decide if someone was dressed inappropriately, wonder if body language is implying anything not allowed... It's going to be a whole world of PAIN for them! B)

I do admit... I too would choose someone else over Skrall because of painted pieces. Again, just to send a message that paint on my figures is a big freaking NO. At least with stickers, Lego's not wasting TOO much money and I can toss'em straight in the trash no problems.

It is good to see offenders get DQed. It really does make my day, when you think about how many dudes are there stressing out over making mocs inside a deadline, just to have shenanigans go on. I'm surprised it was done, actually. Was not the moc doing well? It seemed pretty well made and ok looking. The firing system was cool.

Kanji-lish script. It does some cool stuff... the biggest use I've found is on messageboards that do a MAJOR (ugly) redesign, and like 75% of the members want to make it look and function like the old board. It came in handy on Flickr when they messed with the homepage before caving in and (almost) fixing things. I knew people who were buying themselves Xboxes and plasma TVs by running a script on amazon mturk, where you do simple tasks for money (like looking at album covers and naming them for businesses). Mine's usually off, but once in awhile it's fun and or funny, depending on the site.

Holy geez, my brain feels so inferior now.
