    Linkin Park

Well, he was sort of their frontman in the late 90s. Mark Wakefield, and then later Chester, just seemed to be some singer that's with the group, but not their main feature, and he definitely featured more before Hybrid Theory was released. I think he just needs to find more of a balance between his rapping and singing, which I also really, really enjoy, and definitely step up the quality of the former, but again, that's just me.

My only real issue with the newer albums is that it seems Mike Shinoda's rapping has dipped quite a bit in quality. While it doesn't hurt A Thousand Suns or Living Things as far as quality at all for me, when listening to "Until It Breaks" or "When They Come for Me," he seems so... uninspired, not just in lyrical content, but in performance. Like, he's emulating what he's supposed to feel instead of actually feeling it. In contrast, many of the pre-Hybrid Theory songs such as "Blue" and "Slip," and even the demos for the final Hybrid Theory songs, he sounds so much more into what he's saying (plus, at least in cases like "In the End" and "A Place for My Head," the demo lyrics are far superior when it comes to Mike's parts. You can also hear their bassist so much more in the demos, which is really nice.). Might just be me, though, I suppose. Edit: Don't get me wrong, though, A Thousand Suns and Living Things are what I consider to be their best work, but it's just that one aspect that I've kinda noticed.
  3. Congrats. ^_^I'm kinda worried I still haven't gotten the shipping notice from HTS...I also know I shouldn't buy more any time soon either, but gosh darnit if I'm not dying for Shockwave still.~|ET|~Shockwave is really, really great. I have him with a few other of my CHUG Decepticons, and while he's a bit on the small side in robot mode, he displays awesomely in both forms. I have to agree with you on Onslaught. He really should've been a small Voyager or something. The vehicle mode is especially meh, what with the Bruticus head being in plain sight. I think they could've done a lot more with him to make him stand out as the leader of the Combaticons or something, and something as simple as a larger overall size would've probably worked. Oh well.
  4. *huge sigh of relief*Well, after a lot of effort to scrounge together the cash, today I was able to finally purchase my SDCC Bruticus (for a bit more than he was at HasbroToyShop, but whatever). He should be coming in within the week. Ugh... no more Transformers for a little while...
  5. Really, I think only Swindle looks bad in the retail version, mainly 'cause that yellow doesn't work for me. Even Brawl's lime green doesn't look so deterring. Oh, well. I still might end up picking up the retail Bruticus, especially if I don't end up picking up the SDCC version.
  6. They'll be returning to TRUs during the fall and winter seasons, though places like BigBadToyStore and Amazon probably still have some FE 'Bees left for about retail price.

    SDCC Bruticus Get!

Congrats, dude. I'm stuck still trying to get mine, haha.
  8. Hey, so I'm currently in a deal where I'm getting an SDCC Bruticus, but I don't quite have enough right now on my PayPal account. I just need ten dollars or so to cover the shipping. Can anyone here help me out? I'll pay you back, of course; it's just a matter of doing a transfer, which takes time, which I don't exactly have. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
  9. Pretty self-explanatory. This round, I've got Ultimate Dume's Kraahkan and a solid black Kanohi Jutlin that I had commissioned for me a while back. The Jutlin is pretty glossy, comparable to a black Hau or Pakari from the blindpacked mask sets. The axle peg isn't painted, so that nothing gets scraped off after being used for some time.Jutlin | KraahkanI have an idea of what I want to sell these for, but feel free to make offers. As always, thanks for stopping by.
  10. TFC has most of my interest as far as third party products go - as Hercules/Devastator looks amazing, and they seem to be doing a nice job with Uranus/Superion. I'm really hoping for a Menasor or Predaking from them, though.
  11. I kinda had a feeling that that was what was going to happen when they announced the "forty new Generations toys!" a while back. Hopefully that's not counting the former Asia-exclusives and maybe we can get a nice triple-changing voyager Blitzwing?
  12. Pretty much the same boat I'm in, haha.Well, I caved and purchased Dead End today. He's really awesome in a silly, G2 sort of way, but still manages to have a creepy, weird vibe to him. Definitely a neat figure to expand my Prime 'cons.
  13. Yeah, they're pretty neat, and the more of the SDCC Bruticus I see, the more I like him. He's got Scramble City-type limbs, so I'll be swapping Blast Off and Swindle for sure (as that's the configuration that I like the most, seen in this pic) for this version (though my current plan calls for SDCC Bruticus to be displayed in the individual robot modes and G2 Bruticus in combined mode and the mass retail version in individual vehicle modes if I end up getting them all, which is a pretty big if).
  14. This is the original Ruination from the Robots in Disguise era. He was a retool/redeco of G1 Bruticus and his Combaticon components. Some of the Aligned Wreckers - apparently - combine(d, seeing as Impactor and Roadbuster are dead in Prime) into Ruination, and all of his components are retool/redecos of the FOC Bruticus and his Combaticon components (with Emirate Xaaron's head). It's a weird, if not kinda cool, homage. My main issue with it is the fact that they used Whirl instead of Rotorstorm, especially since the latter had that one line from Last Stand of the Wreckers.Speaking of Bruticus, is there anyone here that's going to be camping out on HTS that'd be willing to purchase two of the SDCC version? I'd happily reimburse you, and cover for shipping, if that becomes necessary.
  15. All right. PM me when you're ready to exchange info.
  16. Um... for everything I'm willing to sell (which would be the above plus a teal Kakama, orange, purple, and light blue Pakari, dark grey Hau, yellow Hau, yellow Komau, orange Ruru, and a trans-blue Ruru), I'd say about $28 USD (a bit high due to the rarity of the copper Huna and TNGMs), factoring in shipping to the UK.
  17. 'tis fine. So, I know you said that you're looking for any 2001-2003 masks, but of the ones I mentioned, are there any in particular that you want?
  18. Would you be okay with buying, though? Say, via PayPal or something? I'm just not interested in trading for Bionicle stuff.
  19. I have a black Kanohi Hau, a blue, brown, and red Pakari, a US copper Huna, and four TNGM for sale. Would you be at all interested in buying these (I'd much prefer to sell; I'm not in the market for buying Lego stuff)?EDIT: I also have various masks released in the 2001-2003 sets, namely the Turaga, Toa Nuva, and a few of the Rahi. I figured you were referring to the blindpacked masks, though.
  20. Well, it seems that Hasbro won't be releasing Breakdown or Gaia Unicron, according to what people are saying from Comic-Con. I guess that means I'll have to have them imported. Breakdown was going to be mine one way or the other, and that Unicron looks too sweet to pass up completely....aaaaand he's sold out. =/I'm still determined to get the SDCC Bruticus somehow, though, even if I have to pay scalper prices for it. I kinda want the G2 version as well, if not just 'cause it's so cheap ($60 for five deluxes in an exclusive deco in a fancy box really isn't that bad). Not sure I'll bite on the retail versions or not, especially since I kinda really want those Wreckers.
  21. Yeah, "Gaia Unicron," if I remember. Hopefully the two figures get released domestically; I'd definitely take them over some of the future Voyager repaints.
  22. Well, looks like I'm not getting those Masterpieces as I'd originally planned. Too much awesome here. Swerve and Springer and the three Asia-exclusive Voyagers are mine (I'd ask what happened to Brawn, but I reeaally don't care, haha). Hopefully I can sell off my RID Optimus so I can get my hands on him and Bulkhead (I already paid scalper prices for Screamer =/). The Prime Voyagers all look great, though I really hope we get Ironhide after Kup; I don't really like that deco. I'll be trying to get the SDCC Bruticus and the Wreckers out of those molds. My main concern is this: where's Breakdown and the Jet Vehicons, and do I really have to import their AM versions just to get them?
  23. Well, I saw the FOC Wave 1 at TRU today and picked up Shockwave (was half-tempted to scalp the other one, haha). He's really nice, but gah, he doesn't scale nicely with anything I have (he's shorter than Prime Soundwave, so he doesn't fit well with Prime, and I'm not really doing CHUG anymore...). =/ I'm thinking that I might do a FOC collection alongside Prime and Masterpiece, but I'm confused as to what to do, since I'm not sure we're getting a new Megs, and then there's Voyager Soundwave/Soundblaster, who scales even worse than the last Deluxe did with the FOC toys. I guess I'm gonna really hope for a Prime Voyager Shockwave to be made one of these days.
  24. I don't mind the different factions, though admittedly, they seem to be getting a bit numerous - Autobots, Decepticons, Starscream, MECH, and possible Star Seekers (seeing as Thundertron's getting a toy).
  25. I actually liked his IDW incarnation, where he'd actually be really vicious in a fight, but was still the cold and logical machine that we all knew. I just don't like when he's loyal to Megs (Animated being the exception), so I've preferred how they've set up the Aligned version to lean towards the Marvel comics incarnation as far as loyalties are concerned (to Cybertron, I believe someone said). And since Megs is responsible for Cybertron's demise, I'd definitely like to see how the two interact when the time comes in Prime. Perhaps Starscream can at last find some semblance of an ally in Shockwave and a disgruntled Knock Out (who, let's face it, hasn't been treated that well since Megatron returned)?
