  1. Back when I used my Iro persona, I would picture myself as my Toa alter ego. Now, I imagine myself to be... well, me. Usually my avatar and screen name go with a random Transformer or something.
  2. I think he's neat, but the only version of Red Alert I've been mildly invested in was the Armada incarnation. Still might end up getting him if I ever decide to go overboard with the MPs. :-P
  3. I'm making MP-13 mine, one way or the other. Even if I don't get MP-10, -11, and -12, I have to get Soundwave and his minions (since a Buzzsaw repaint is imminent and Ravage and Frenzy/Rumble have already been shown off). I really, really hope that Ratbat gets a new mold, maybe with the eventual Soundblaster repaint that's bound to come out of MP-13.
  4. I know what that's like. We've not even seen Ratchet and Arcee here. Just Bumblebee. So many Bumblebees.
  5. If anything, it's a coincidence, but I thought since MP-10 seemed to be a "reboot" of sorts for the line, maybe they'd be up for something like that. As for Shockwave, as much as I like the Generations model, it looks so tiny compared to his WfC counterparts. I'm not sure if they're scaling down the new Generations guys a bit, but I certainly hope not. :-/
  6. Hegemon defies this. :-PI also hope that Megs gets a well-deserved update for the Masterpiece line, though. The old one looks really meh, and I've heard a lot of complaints about it from people that own it. I guess he'd work for MP-15, as they seem to be doing Autobots for the even numbers (Prime, Sideswipe, Red Alert being MP-10, -12, and -14), and Decepticons for the odds (Screamer and Soundwave being MP-11 and -13). I'd really like to see Shockwave get the MP upgrade sometime soon, though. He's not gotten a pure G1 update in a looong while, I don't think.
  7. The way I see it, the events of the story could be spread out between episodes without too much trouble, and some of the time could be used to flesh out more of the characters. With a plethora of characters in the BIONICLE franchise, I'm sure that time spent on development and characterization, making everyone just a bit more memorable wouldn't be time wasted. As for who'd be working on it, I've always assumed that if there remains a lingering interest in BIONICLE, in due time, it'll receive its reboot or continuation or whatever (in my humble opinion, the former is most preferable). Now, I'm not sure if that'll mean that Lego will be interested in restarting it, or if some third party would like to take a shot at a new interpretation of the mythos (and in this case, I'd really like to see the latter happen, according to the central theme of my previous posts, haha), but either way, I am sure that it's not going to be the same exact story marketed to a future audience, which gives whoever would take a shot at a BIONICLE series room to maneuver and adapt the basic plot to 'X' amount of twenty-three minute episodes.
  8. Hm. I'll consider it, but do keep in mind that, as I said, $35 is still pretty generous.
  9. I dunno, he looks somewhat... bland. I don't think the red was the problem so much as the random blue was. The purple/red/gunmetal kinda worked with the yellow highlights, I thought.
  10. I dunno. $35 is pretty generous considering Lesovikk wasn't that common of a set, and then there's also two canister sets on top of that. I'd dare say it's a decent deal, but what did you have in mind?
  11. It's definitely a really enjoyable show. I need to catch up a lot, though (I got sucked in during Season 1, but then just stopped following it for whatever reason).
  12. A show which your avatar came from, Knock Out, has done just that.Heh, I may have had that show in mind, but I think the point still stands. It's just a matter of having the right... well, everything, I suppose. No easy feat, certainly, but I'd definately be interested in following such an endeavor. Actually, the darker turn was what made 2004-2007 my favorite chunk of story. I think it's just a matter of not overdoing it. Like, it definitely wouldn't have to be 100% tongue-in-cheek, but maybe self-aware enough to not take itself too seriously. Haha, I think we've seen enough BZP projects come and go to realize that the fandom isn't, perhaps, the best source to turn to for a BIONICLE series. I also believe The Legend Reborn is pretty much what Lego seems to be wanting to churn out. Not saying that that's bad necessarily, but it didn't really work for me. Also, I wouldn't want a series to follow the canon to the letter, mainly 'cause the official canon has a lot of issues - with things such as year-to-year agreement - and such that could be resolved by using the overall plot as a template of sorts, and then taking creative licenses on a lot of the details. I know that sounds like a death wish at first read, but I'm not saying that we need to flip BIONICLE into something it's not, but rather something it could be that both the fandom and a wider general audience could be satisfied with.
  13. I think the black repaint of Breakdown might see a stateside release, but I remember hearing that Swerve is Arms Micron-only. Also, Darkness Megatron actually looks really nice, looking at pics from the Tokyo Toy Show.He looks a lot less dull, and I really like Gora as his fusion cannon, but I already caved and bought his Hasbro release. ;_;In other news, our first color pic of the Jet Vehicon. I like it, and the pink doesn't at all bother me. I need five, though, stat.
  14. $35 plus shipping, perhaps?
  15. Vezon went alt. universe-hopping for a bit and is chilling with a Great Being on Bota Magna, last I remember. So, no, he's alive and well.
  16. Various Transformers fansites. I figured Masterpiece Laserbeak with the additional Soundwave figure merited a post here.
  17. How does $85 USD sound (I'm assuming you'll get Onewa elsewhere)? Also, where are you located? I'll need to factor in shipping. All right, you're in the US. Let me get everything together to see how much it weighs, and I'll get back to you with a shipping estimate.
  18. Vehicons are one per case of eight for wave three. There'll be two per case in the wave four revision. Well, it seems I might have to settle for the PRID Optimus and Bulkhead, after seeing the voyager Ultra Magnus and Thundertron figures, just so I can invest in the Prime line a bit more.I'm also really geeking out over all these new Masterpiece figures. Soundwave and Laserbeak look absolutely amazing, and Sideswipe also looks pretty neat. Here's to hoping they get a stateside release.EDIT:Oh man, oh man, that Laserbeak looks absolutely amazingly engineered. The cannons integrate into the transformation; he has that little camera he had in the movie; and he looks really articulated. All my money, Takara.
  19. I have: All six PirakaOnewa MetruLesovikkLewa PhantokaI don't know the current status of your above transactions, so I figured I'd just list what I have to offer.
  20. My main concern would be how the original story could be adapted into 'X' amount of twenty-three minute episodes. I very much think it could be done, and could be done very well, but the pacing would have to be a lot different than how the books and comics handled it. Which, of course, could be good or bad. If it's a bit more slow-paced, a lot of the more minor characters could be given time to be fleshed out a bit more, but at the same time, it could also feel a bit more dragged-out. I would, though, prefer to see someone's take on the original Bionicle story as opposed to having it be some Lego-controlled thing. I think it'd have a lot more potential to feel a lot more fresh and new, even to veteran fans like myself, as opposed to being the watching the story I followed years ago. Plus with the right people, a lot of the original story's flaws (such as being a to-sell-toys platform, and also the serials as a whole [to me, at least] and the rather rushed ending) could be dealt with in a better manner.
  21. Though I agree with you in saying the FE Bulkhead is better, I really don't mind the RID one and feel it's a nice replacement. Same goes for Optimus. Then again, this is coming from someone who really has no complaints about anything. Plus, all the RID figures that have been released scale quite nicely (FE Bulkhead and Prime just seem too big compared to everyone else judging by reviews)As for Starscream though, you should try hunting down a FE. The Deluxe size is in scale, more accurate, and looks much nicer compared to the Voyager. But y'know. If you'd be happier with a more expensive, better looking Bulkhead and Prime, then by all means go ahead.KalhikiWell, I've been hoping that Hasbro meant what they said when they said that they'd try to find some way to rerelease the FE's in some manner. I guess for now, I've just been keeping an eye on various sites to see if they have some FE's in restock. RobotKingdom had Bulk restocked for a bit, but meh, I wasn't able to catch him in time.
  22. I'm still opting for a First Edition Bulkhead, even an overpriced one. I just can't convince myself to get the RiD version, which can also be said for Optimus and Starscream. I was hoping the Takara version of Knock Out would be a lot nicer, as far as paint goes, but meh. Those Micron ports also look kinda bad. At least Breakdown looks really, really awesome, and hopefully the Jet Vehicons get a Hasbro release so people can armybuild with those, too.
  23. Yes, but the question was who transformed first - the Inika or Krakua. I'm inclined to say the latter, but after so long, I'm not entirely sure anymore.
  24. I don't suppose they'd be Fedoras? I'd totally go for a BS01 Fedora, haha.
  25. Hey, so I will be out all next week with very limited internet connection. To those I'm currently in transactions with, I'll try to get your stuff sent out early Monday. Thanks for your patience.
