  1. Actually, if I remember correctly, she just shot shadow bolts out of her weapon in the movie, so it's not like her Rhotuka ever came into major play. Anyway, I'm absolutely loving this MOC. I think you did an awesome job with the parts modifications and they worked out so well in the final product. I myself have no real complaints other than the feet look a bit chunky to me.I really, really hope you do more of these character interpretations; your other ones have been equally impressive.
  2. Also, Jolt's dead and Mirage and Dino are the same dude.
  3. How many boxes would you want in exchange for the white Ruru?
  4. I paid about ten dollars in a bidding for the Klakk set way back when. From 2009 and on, it went for about six bucks, shipped, on Bricklink.
  5. I've got all of this. If you can provide a list of pieces for Krakua and Tobduk, I'm sure I can cover a majority of them. I prefer to sell; would $45 USD be a fair price for you?
  6. I officially don't want it back out of spite.
  7. Maybe you get insulting posts because people are fed up with your whole "Bionicle's not dead" thing. It's cool to think it'll come back, but maybe consider that if you tone it down just a bit, people might not say "lolololol bonkles ded" as a response? When you have a down-your-throat manner of doing things, people might not react so kindly to it.[/justsayin']
  8. Usually the final sets are better, but this would have been nice to have. Also, I wouldn't have minded if Reidak actually got his third eye and if Avak retained his prototype spine/face.
  9. Unless you happen to have some Transformers for trade or something, I'm unfortunately not really interested in what you have to offer. Sorry.
  10. I have to offer:Rahaga (all six)Bohrok (all six)Toa Metru (all six)Rahkshi (all six, each with its respective level four kraata)I'd part with the Rahaga for three dollars each and seven dollars for the canister sets. Unfortunately, I have no packaging, but all of them are complete and all pieces are in good shape. I also have some kraata. Are you looking for anything specifically, or do you just want any?
  11. They can't be stomping on you if they're bringing you down. That implies they have to, you know, go up and get you.
  12. That's why Bionicle totally outlasted it!Anyway, it's a really neat MOC. The colors work well and the system parts flow really well. I'm not sure how much I like the silver blades, but otherwise, it's really really cool.
  13. I think that it has the potential to be cool. Ninjago seems to be the more story-driven line right now, but I'd like to see this show get a similar treatment as far as the number of episodes and such. Breakout's showing great potential, and I'd like to see some old foes make a comeback later on.
  14. All six for sale, each in great shape. Part inventories have been confirmed with those on Bricklink. I'm thinking fifty dollars for the lot, shipped. Here's a list of all the sets I own, and here's my old trade topic with various rarities I had for sale.I'm mainly looking to sell these to get a hold of some quick cash, so I'm pretty willing to take most reasonable offers. Thanks for your time and happy buying, maybe!
  15. Well, I have to say, since this'll be my last year collecting Lego stuffs, this is a pretty neat wave, despite initial concerns.Nex is my least favorite of the bunch. I just do not really at all like his helmet. I get that with he and Evo, the designers tried to homage the 2.0 headgear, but Nex's does so far too much. Something a bit more subtle like Evo's design would've been more appreciated, I think. Also what up with the white torso armor? Also also not really a fan of the light grey skeleton pieces. Also also also, only size three shells? He doesn't look all that formidable (plus I'd have liked another source for the orange size five ones).XT4 is pretty neat, though I'd have liked it to be yellow-orange as opposed to yet another yellow set. Oh well. I actually think the light grey skeleton pieces work well with it, though maybe the lower arms could've also been in that color. His torso is really really ridiculously small, but I'm not sure whether that looks as bad as it sounds.Stringer's neat. Nothing really wrong with him.The Core Hunter is pretty sick, if not pretty standard fare. I love love love his mask and the nice black recolors. I might stick all the spare hero cores from the Breakout villains on his little ammo belt thing or something.Bulk is really cool, though I don't care for all the gunmetal. Luckily most of it can just be swapped for silver shells.Voltix makes me glad I bought the Joker so I can replace some black and gunmetal with purple. Otherwise, he's got a really neat and eccentric color scheme that I like. That said, a new mask would've been nice.Stormer's head is really small and his arms are really short (and low). Uh. Maybe I'll see about just giving him the Hulk's design?Speed Demon is an expensive if not pretty nice set. I don't like the use of the size three shells on the longer skeleton pieces and also the lime shoulder piece on his chest, but otherwise, the rider's pretty solid. Pretty indifferent to the reuse of the Black Phantom helmet here. The bike's neat, though kinda pretty similar to Furno's. Oh well. Really, I was hoping for an Umbra-esque titan, but I guess this guy's not too bad.
  16. Well, apparently this appears to be Dreadwing? He looks like Skyquake, but with a new deco. Thoughts?

    Toy Fair

Oh my good lord. He is amazing.
  18. I love villains and antagonists. They're so much more compelling to write for because I feel they usually have a lot more room to move. Why are they evil? What are their motives? What to they hope to achieve? How do they react to others?Whereas with heroes, they're kinda just "well, we gotta stop the bad guys 'cause what they do affects us somehow..." That's not to say heroes are dull, persay, but I just think that a hero is only as interesting as his villain.

    Fall Of Cybertron

And there's also a Shockwave to go along with all of the Classics/Universe-style figures. Now we just need some Dinobots.
  20. I wouldn't say things were dumb, but there was a certain... somewhat forced feeling in them, I want to say?-Tahu's devolution.-Zaktan's death (though admittedly, I really liked him).-Really, the Piraka mutation as a whole.-Most of the official post-sets story. I dunno, I really wanted to be excited about the story, but then you have so much introduced (the fusion being, the red orb being, the Red Star inhabitants, Marendar, an ancient entity killer, Artakha out of nowhere, a Great Being in disguise) that all of the still-open plot ends from years prior are just sitting there while the focus has shifted to all of this new stuff that just showed up. Characters like Orde and those other Toa have no prior establishment, and it feels odd to have them show up out of nowhere when there are plenty of others that have had the most minor of roles and could do the same.-Yeah.-The post-set story as a whole totally qualifies as a "moment."
  21. The orange Ruru was a fairly common mask from the mask packs and also the Manas set. The trans-blue ones are likely from the Nui-Rama set, while the yellow Komau also is from the Manas set, making all of these not that rare. The highest I've seen these going for is about $2 USD.
  22. A cartoon? The comic artists can barely draw them. How could they draw them well without making them look like robots?Well, they do already look like robots based on the set forms alone. That said, there's the biomechanical feel of the original trilogy that could perhaps totally work, though perhaps instead of CGI, it could be animated in cel format.I'd also like to see a lot of the voice actors from the trilogy (in the unlikely chance that there is a show) come back to do their respective characters. Though maybe have Frank Welker or David Kaye voice Makuta. It would be glorious, yeeesss.
  23. I think it should be brought back eventually, but as a reboot. There'd still be the same characters (Tahu, Teridax, etc.), but maybe the story itself will take on a new direction, and some things here and there will be changed. I would dare use the analogy of this Bionicle saga being something akin to Transformers G1, and whatever afterwords would be the Prime to that G1 (or the IDW G1 comics to the original Marvel ones).
  24. From what I remember from the bits written in Teridax's viewpoint in the universe guidebook, he did think he was doing the universe a favor by replacing Mata Nui. He saw Mata Nui as obsolete and undeserving of the reverence the Matoran gave him, and saw the universe as too unaware of what he and the Makuta were doing for them. I think that, over time, the sheer amount of resistance he and the others faced just made him into the bitter sociopath he was. By the time he took over, he no longer saw the Matoran as people to benevolently rule, but as insects (calling almost every Toa, Matoran, or Turaga he mentioned "pathetic," "foolish," "miserable," and things along those lines) to be dominated. I honestly believe he never completely understood why he was being resisted by the Toa and others, especially if he truly believed that the Makuta were doing the right thing by taking over. In the end, he went from an ambitious powerhouse individual to a sociopathic tyrant, and I think it's almost unfortunate in a way that he died as such.
