    Toy Fair Pic

Wow....are the eyes and Tridax pod made out of Lego too? I can't tell...
  3. Oh, dangit, a bones-ite. No, I am saying that they do not seem to use proper proportions, even though it's possible they understand them. And please, don't give me that line about focus groups, because it's wrong. Bonesiii seems to do this a lot, but it doesn't really work. Just because Lego listens to them doesn't make the focus groups always right. Simply put, having the opinion that Lego's set designers are wrong does not make my opinion wrong. That's the problem with bones-ites. They assume(like bonesii seems to) that anyone whose opinion on the new sets is that they suck, does not deserve an opinion, and that their opinion is wrong. I really didn't want this to turn into an argument... >_< "Bones-ite?" Sounds cool, like something from a TV show. *tucks away for future reference in real life* I never, anywhere, say that you aren't entitled to an opinion. And I have to say, the new sets don't have human proportions, that's obvious, I personally don't care about that, but I know that some people do. The line about focus groups is correct. It's what sells. Therefor, Lego is going to use what sells. Face it, Ca, we're both out of the target audience. The stuff isn't made with us in mind. We can still enjoy it, they don't say "If you're out of the target audience, you can't buy or enjoy our products" but we need to keep in mind that we're not the target audience, so they're not going to cater to our whims. Things that didn't occur to us, like proportions, 7 years ago are now obvious. Little science tidbits are noticed as well. But with things like that, one must keep in mind that Bionicle science doesn't work like ours. That's because it's fiction. I myself have fallen into that trap a bit. And what you're saying about the focus groups being wrong...how can what sells be wrong? I was under the impression that if you're doing something right in the business world, you're getting sales. And that if you do something wrong, your sales are going to reflect that.
  4. "Have no grasp of proportions"? What? I may be wrong, but that sounds like you're insulting the designers. They do have a grasp of human proportions. If a fifteen-year-old MoCer can have an idea of proportions, then they certainly do. But they're designing what sells, and what sells tends to be what the focus group likes, and the focus group likes the current products as they are proportioned. And it's the set designers job to make sets that sell, not appease the minority calling for human proportions. And that's another point. Toa ain't human. So they don't need to have the same proportions. *fully expects this refuting argument to be deleted like the last one I posted a while back was*

1/2. Neat. 3. Hm, I got hooked through the theme song, mid Season 2. I had turned on the TV for Stargate, and was waiting for the other program to finish, so I flicked down a channel to Cartoon Network, and there was the most awesome-sounding theme song I'd ever heard. I soon made it my mission to listen to it every afternoon, then I talked my Mom into watching it with me to see if it was an acceptable program for viewing. 4. Interesting...I had to resend the confirmation email, like, six times before it finally got through. 5. I have to agree. The Phantoka Nuva aren't really my favorite sets. Too much gray, but still, I find them preferable to most older canister sets. Can't say anything about the Makuta, don't have any yet. And I agree completely on the storyline. 6. So you are from another planet...*goes to contact the FBI* 7. Chuck..ain't that the one where the guy gets all the governments secrets downloaded into his brain? 8. Hm, don't think I've heard of that. Lowis Lowry rings a bell, though. Can't think where, but it does. Well, this is certainly a fun little feature Taki.
  7. *drops bowling ball from tridax launcher*
  8. 22.797 seconds for me at the moment... EDIT: Make that 27.437 seconds.

    Year Of The _____

I'm a water monkey! Ooh ooh Ah ah! Perhaps that has something to do with my amazing ability to create realistic monkey noises... Hm...only a few parts of that describes me. The rest are just completely wrong. What fits: Personality Part of the Career, I'm not a big fan of change, though. The fact that Water Monkeys are easily distracted. What ain't right: Health Relationships The Water Monkey's sensitivity. I'm not a very sensitive person.

  17. Oh...I went to a supercenter once in Ohio. I felt insignificant compared to its overwhelming size. Perhaps you could show them the handy signs which say what the contents of each aisle are? I mean, seriously, they're right there for people to use, why don't they use them?
  18. ...And this is why I am thankful that the place that I'm hoping to get a job at is small and I've spent enought time there to know where everything is. But is your Wal-Mart a big one? Mine isn't, and I've got the layout mapped out in my head. So if yours isn't too big, perhaps it might be an idea to try and get a rough idea of where stuff is so you can point people in the right direction. And earn smiles and thanks. Unless they're just rude and self-centered and couldn't care less that you helped them, as long as they get what they want. Then I, in your situation, would see no problem in giving them a helpful boot in the direction of what they want. So then when the manager comes with the complaints, you can still say that you were helpful.

Hey, Torhuki, if you need any help with Yoda, I can always hook you up with Sidious. Hey, the midget couldn't beat him in Episode III, what'll the difference be now?

    Bbcc #47 Final Poll

I vote for What's ...we made them for Tahu, Gali, Lewa, Pohatu, Onua, and Kopaka... Why? It's original, makes great use of the canisters, and has great Matoran.
