  1. IC: Providence - The Wastes

"Bah! The Skakdi are harmless," Prov countered. "If they try anything, they can be pacified easily."

He wasn't lying; however, his perspective on the Skakdi was formed by his never having left the Kumu Islets before now (and, indeed, never having met a Skakdi), and so he had a much more subservient image of them than most.

  2. IC: Providence - Out on the Wastes

Providence moved his legs like pistons, developing a great forward lean in order to make himself more aerodynamic. Eventually, with Vent slowing slightly, he was able to catch up and keep pace with his newfound friend. The moving of his legs became automatic, and with no need to breathe, he was able to speak with them.

"So, are we just going to run around until we find something interesting?" He asked.

  3. IC: Providence - Rapidly leaving Metru-Koro

"Oh, dear!" Providence exclaimed, as he was left alone with a Vent-shaped cloud of dust. He tried to catch up, but alas; even with his armor made significantly lighter, he still could not generate the speed needed to keep pace with his new friend. He might have played dirty and tried to slow her down, but, his powers consisting of shadow and sleep, he reckoned that would have only disastrous outcomes.

  4. IC: Barius - Fort Nektann

Barius nodded, and gestured to the bike, as if inviting the Aspect to hand it off to him. He'd tune it up good.

There was a certain balance to be struck, between rebellion to 'Boss', and adherence to the order of the Warskaks. As far as Barius was concerned, Boss turning down a Kraata meant he was negotiating with Parnassus not for his own benefit, but for the good of the warband as a whole. He represented all of them, in this instance. So Boss' deal wasn't something he could or would push back on.

Besides, it was a pretty nice bike.

    IC: Providence - Metru-Koro

"Right! Out with it, then," Providence said, as they walked away from the shack. He wasn't sure what an oyster was, but that bit sounded like it was meant as a good thing. He was more concerned with Vent's supposed idea about his speed.

  5. IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

"Woo!" Providence yelped as he stepped backwards to avoid being 'splashed' with sand. "Haha, that sounds lovely-- finding more people to join us, I mean. We'll have a grand old time, all of us together! Do you have anyone in mind?"

  6. IC: Barius - Fort Nektann

The Skakdi scowled to himself as he heard Parnassus' negotiation. Was he here to offer 'Boss' yet another Kraata? If that were the case, then he'd have to try and make a pact with the Aspect as well.

    IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

"That sounds quite agreeable to me. If 'vehicles' are anything like your board, they must be quite fun!"

  7. IC: Providence, Outside Metru-Koro

The mouth of Providence's armor contorted into a slight frown. "You're probably right. I can run in my armor, but I'm not great at it. I certainly can't go as fast as you were earlier! But I'm sure you'd be willing to slow down a bit for me, right?" He cocked his head. "After all, adventuring alone is no fun."

  8. IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

"Well, wait a second now. I didn't say there wouldn't be any danger. There could be all kinds of traps and wild rahi and stuff! Though now that you mention it, it might be too dangerous. We probably should go with those Skakdi you mentioned..."

  9. IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

"The Kumu Islets! They're nice, I guess, but I'm kind of bored with them. I'd rather explore Zakaz! I heard there's all kinds of cool temples and ruins and stuff here. And the other Aspects told me that we need to find some old papers or something. Or I guess they might be carvings. But they're real old, and so I figure the best place to look is in old buildings! Plus, it just sounds like a lot of fun." His tone suggested that the fun might be the driving motivation.

  10. IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

Oh, right. Names. He'd decided on a name to go by among the leggy folk.

    "You can call me Providence."

Now, this was the important bit. He extended his arm slowly, awaiting Vent to reciprocate the gesture. If his understanding was correct, they would touch each others' extremities. He was fuzzy on the details, but he was hoping the biped would show him the ropes.

  11. IC: Providence - Outside Metru-Koro

"That's OK! I've never met anything like you before, either. You're actually the first person I've run into since I made landfall! I'm an Aspect of Makuta. We live on the Kumu Islets, and... we're made outta gas!"

It was, technically, his one weakness, but the figure seemed pretty unthreatening, and they seemed to be getting along, anyway. No harm in letting it slip, he supposed.

  12. IC: Providence - Near Metru-Koro

Providence was headed towards a settlement he'd spotted in the distance-- or at least, what he assumed to be a settlement. A bunch of buildings, he felt, was a pretty strong indicator of a settlement. But regardless; he was headed towards what he reasonably assumed to be a settlement, when he saw a figure moving at high speeds towards him, away from the city. Wow! They were really zooming. They seemed to be on some kind of board or something.

Providence stood up straight and raised his hands in the air, waving them at the stranger. "Heeeeey!" He called out, his voice a soothing tenor.

  13. IC: Providence - Middle of Nowhere

Somewhere in the midst of the wastelands, a lanky suit of armor filled with gas walked along eagerly. He didn't know his way around, but if the accounts he'd heard were correct, there were settlements of the newcomers spread out all around. He figured he'd have to find one eventually - or at least some travelers heading between two of them. At the very least, he'd surely come upon some interesting rahi.

    Eventually...

Right now, though, it was just sand and rock all around.

  14. Name: Providence

    Breed: Aspect of Makuta

    Faction: Aspects of Makuta

Brief Description: A head shorter in his lanky armor than the typical Aspect, Providence's posture and mannerisms exude youthful exuberance. His armor includes many extremities and flourishes not necessary for an Aspect, seemingly for the sole purpose of being more recognizable to humanoids-- or perhaps emulating them? When interacting with those not of his kind, he often gesticulates and moves his 'mouth' in an over-the-top fashion that, despite being a totally unconvincing imitation of a biped, nonetheless has proven rather endearing to most.

Background/Occupation: Providence is only recently emerged from the antidermis pool, his armor new to him. Though his few years among his kind have failed to imbue him with any meaningful understanding of how the world works, they have given him a profound interest in - one might even say, an infatuation with - the lives and societies of the humanoids with which the Aspects share this world. With the crash of the GSR head, and the arrival of many new interesting individuals with it, he decided to finally leave the Kumu Islets and begin exploring the wider world. His goal is to meet new and interesting people and have intense and exhilarating experiences with them, and he'd be pleased if he also happened to find the secrets to high-stage kraata desecration rites in the process.

Flaws: Providence is immensely and obviously an incredibly naive individual. He has no practical experience with the world, and an unrealistic view of humanoid species as either pets or children to be cared for, mixed somewhat with entertainment. He is reluctant to be cruel or suspicious, even when he very rightly should be, and has no real perspective of how his race is perceived in the world at large. (Psychological flaw)

Due to the nature of his species, he is composed of gas, and will dissipate if deprived of his armor and a willing host for long enough. (Physiological flaw)

Equipment: Providence needs nothing but his suit of armor. The world is his oyster!

Powers: Like all Aspects, Providence has elemental control over shadow (Primary power), as well as the capacity to leave his armor and possess other creatures, and the ability to desecrate others, turning an offered heartlight into a first-stage kraata (Breed quirk).

Additionally, he himself has the second-stage kraata power of Sleep, allowing him the ability to make people slow and groggy with only a touch. A useful tool for pacifying any of the rowdier denizens of Zakaz that he might come across. (Secondary power)

Grand Wish: To permanently inhabit a fleshly form of my own, immortal and with great power! (Approved by UN/Kughii)

  15. IC: Barius - Fort Nektann

Barius ignored the other Skakdi as they scrambled to prepare themselves for 'Boss', hiding their drink and straightening their slouches. He never slouched, and did not drink in the garage; he had nothing to hide from Nektann except for his own murderous hunger for the older Skak's position.

He stayed where he was as the boss approached; and where he was, coincidentally, was in front of Parnassus, in just the position where Nektann would probably like to stand, if he intended to approach. If he did wish to stand there, he'd have to make Barius move.
