  1. Shading, some more shading, then much more shading.... after that add a little extra shading: this is usually what I normally do with my pieces, and they still do not turn even half as good as this. I mean seriously, what type of pencil or pen did you use to shade or ink with this because I can only do so much with a sketching utensil. I am overtly impressed -- actually amazed that one could actually create a sense of depth with use of such heavy inking.You sir have a gift... and I have only amazement at it. It is amazing there is such concept artistry as this for Pokoro-Productions (is that supposed to be like the BNG project, or something else?). I can say after that is you have an eye for great detail and proportions in this piece. And besides that, the shading is the most suburb part of this.And you said this was done in 2 hours? Did you do this in literally two straight hours or did you take two hours over a long period of time to make this? Really, it doesn't matter, for this is too awesome to pass down.Keep it up, since this is already reach the stars and higher. So keep shooting, cus' you may actually land a strong career in illustrating. -Toa Deserok

  4. All I can say is that your artwork is getting better and Takanuvia is looking finer each time. Anyway, good to see you are back... from being back. Just curious, any chance for cameo's at all in the uncolored comics? I wouldn't mind a spot. -Toa Deserok

I think I read in the rules that you cannot repost completed stories and you just link them, unless I misunderstood thatI don't particularly care for reviews, i just wanted to make sure there was a stable link for everyone who was interested in reading itDon't worry about stable linkage... it works quite fine. I'm actually glad to see a link up... it means there is still interest alive in it. All I can say for now is I'm glad to see the chronicled adventures of Tachi and Komas. Nice to have it back, Lady Kopaka. :biggrin:It's a pity that we can't edit our works though. I'd really be interesting to see a second helping of older stories. But then again, some things are better left undisturbed, for the works are better remembered this way.-Toa Deserok

  8. What do you mean edged? If you're referring to the dark surrounding, it's meant to be dark like a pit. It is smoothened like you're looking into the mind's eye, into your memories or darkest recesses of your nightmares (ok, that is kinda weird and freaky, but its supposed to jive that sort of sense). I can see where you guys go with the eerie part, but nothing else? Maybe proportions, or something like that? If you want, there is an uncolored scan of it here so you can better outline it without the colors.-Toa Deserok
  9. A little taste of what I plan for my fan epic, entitled Sins of Our Forefathers. The picture was all done by hand, gimp, and word's paint. It took a few days and several hours to get this accomplished in total, sometime during the summer when I worked on this. Overall, I feel a strong emotion behind this piece when I look at, and I like that with my pieces. I feel it is an accomplishment when I manage to retain vibrant works like this. I hope this is with others, 'cus I'm already proud to have done it.If you'd like to see the story behind this, you can click on the "spoiler" tag below to reveal the info about it:This picks off where Disgrace Amongst the Skrall left (sort of), but it follows a different approach rather than by the view of an ex-Skrall. Now it follows the story of lamentation and fulfillment by Padelean, a female Skrall recently afflicted by amnesia (loss of memory of her past self), but she still remembers bits and pieces of her troubled life.... especially the pain brought by it. Now she struggles to find her identity, as well as find Malduki in time to save him.Otherwise, enjoy and comment on it.-Toa Deserok
  10. I decided to have Kiina in there originally since there were only a few glatorian that could have the canon freedom of exploration (since they weren't discussed in winter 09 storyline). I originally set her to be a love interest in story, but it later fit for her just to be a close friend figure of Malduki's (the Skrall). As for Malduki's character, it is supposed to be a sort of black sheep toned story, since I don't think even the Mongolians could be without sympathetic soldiers. You should at least expect sympathy within any small proportion of an army, since they still are human in a way. Good thing to. Enjoy the epic while you're at it. As for the coloring, I don't know how to make it more complex when I have only Gimp to color with. I'm actually wondering if somebody has advice over that sort of thing. I could have gone with the uncolored, but I figured text was better with more color to stand out. Either way, thank you for all the comments and criticisms. I'm definitely hoping to make more of these, but could afford more advice like this so I can do better the next time around. -Toa Deserok
  11. That's the one thing that I find kinda ridiculous about some of the topics. They clearly need to spend hours one pixelations just to get the sprite for one character, but they could just easily draw a comic strip within the same time and scan the picture through. This isn't to hate on their work (they work REALLY hard on them), it's just that they get kinda repetitive when almost 99.9% of comic users on BZP refer to nothing to hand drawn comics and only do pixelations. As for the font, I've mostly just used windows for my fonts. I suppose that I could try looking through web sites for different fonts. Otherwise, I've never had a problem with them. Thank you otherwise for the comment and the criticism. I hope there is more advice for me if I should ever do another mosaic. -Toa Deserok
  12. _ _ WARNING: Comic is a big file, so you might wait a little bit. _ Uncolored and unedited comic down below with no words _ Ever since the Great Abyss (BZP's downtime), many of us had been waiting patiently for BZP's return and had taken up several hobbies and interests to keep us occupied since them. Some of us decided to make more stop motions, some decided to brush up on their artistic skills, and some decided to stay in contact with other members for talks about normal, everyday life. I happened to do all that and more while on my free time, and this is one of the results. . . With this being a mosaic, I decided to format it in a short story format so that anyone can jump right into the comic and get a general assessment of the character and the plot at the same time. It took me several weeks, buying week's time to get it painted when it only took a few days to physically draw. . . Based on my epic Disgrace Amongst the Skrall, it should be an interesting read.   13. Issue One: ReentryPages1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9. (warning: the pages will contain some blood and deathly violence within them, but I'll try not to be excessive with it). I'll have more chapters and pages up, but for now I'm just starting off with bits and pieces of the story for now. If any of you don't know what's going on, don't worry.   14. Very interesting, beginning with the posing and the coloring your artwork holds a lot of variety in delivery. Personally, I like the first one the most. Something about the posing mixed with the elemental feeling you give him/her in blending with the night. I actually swore that was Lariska for a second there because of the color scheme and small dagger. Nice job nonetheless.
