Well, let me throw a handful of dirt and a handful of stones at you and you can judge for yourself. Well, but if you add some heat and pressure you get pretty much the same thing, right? (not really sure 'cause I'm not very educated in the realm of minerals) Is it just that Earth is buried deeper while Stone is on the surface? =\ Earth is soil, Stone is rocks.
