  1. Personally, it's probably the literally infinite possibilities that the future offers that makes the Sci-Fi genre a popular one to create an RPG in. That might not be the reason, but that seems to be the most logical explanation, besides the fact that some people (Like me) just happen to like thinking about the future, space and that sort of stuff. Sci-Fi RPGs can be varied enough to be a large portion of the RPG scene, but I do have to agree that many of the Sci-Fi RPGs now-a-days aren't varied. Maximum Security is a great example of a Sci-Fi RPG that strays far enough from the normal Sci-Fi RPG to be considered unique. Personally, I'm attempting to make a Sci-Fi RPG (*grabs flame shield*), but I'm trying to make it unique so it doesn't blend in with the rest.
