I haven't been on for a while (since last Tuesday, I believe) because every year our school's eighth grade class goes to Washington D.C. from Wednesday to Friday.
It had to be the longest three days of my life, when you share a small hotel room with your best friend, a hulking gorilla, and a lummox who snores like a bulldozer.
However, I did see some pretty cool sites, like the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol Building, and the White House (which was extra neat, because we saw snipers on the roof!)
Anyway, if eternity proved too brief, God created tour bus rides to lengthen the process. Four months after leaving D.C., we arrived at our school at 10:30, and none too soon.
Then I got home, and discovered that our computer had practically exploded, so I had to wait another few days for my mom, our resident computer nerd, to hook up our old 1993 Dell drive for us. To top it off, our library (a stone's throw away from my house) suffered a power outage, so its computers were unusable.
Hurrah!
