  1. Totally. On that note I should mention a couple things...In my next blog entry! Good to hear you were there though. (And Toa Macku, perhaps you cam come next year.) -CF
  2. So last night I took part in an essay contest. The Sons of the American Revolution holds a contest linking the Am. Rev. to today. Well, I won, got $100 and am going to state (Richmond, Va). Now onto the bad news: The State competition is over Katsucon weekend. (an Amine Convention) Saturday February 17. Well, I'll still make it to the Sunday part of the con. Anyway, I won. -CF
  3. wow. Pretty cool. You need to explain some of this stuff someday, get some of us up to date, because I have no idea what "Kataraina" is and vagely know about the Maori thing. And Vahki Power was funny. I like Omi's comment.... Well, thanx for your hard work, and keep it up. I might even join you someday! -CF
  4. Top 10 Reasons to Procrastinate: 1. ... -CF (I saw it on a shirt!)
  5. Actually, I skipped school too. (see blog entry above) but lucky on the snow 4 U -CF
  6. I went on the March For Life today. Any other BZPers there? I am talking, of course, about DC's March for Life, as in Pro-Life, as in no abortion, as in Roe v. Wade. The March For Life is a Rally and Mass in the morning in the Verizon Center (20,000 people in a basketball stadium), then a walk from there to the Capitol building with signs with pro-life messages on them. (On of my favorites was "yo mama is pro life") We are basically trying to show Congress that the decision to make aborting legal (with Roe v. Wade) was a very bad idea and they should change that. That pretty much explains it. (and I don't want any rude comments here either) -CF

    Snow!

No, this isn't a post about the manga... Actually, here in Northern Virginia we finally got some snow! Not even an inch, but it it snowed enough to delay some schools. -CF
  8. I have a birthday topic? (anyone have a link?) Thanx everybody! -CF
  9. oh, this is going to be so hullüppoooging fun! üüüüüüüüüüüüüüüüü -McChocolateFrogsifstein
  10. don't you remember? The Inika fuse with the Nuva and stay on Voya Nui! You have some good points there, and I guess it is kinda expected. And in '08 we'll see six more matoran change. I was thinking the Mahri might already be there, protecting the Matoran. And since GregF has mentioned an early toa, there might be more than one toa team together. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  11. those swords are sweet. Good luck!
  12. Well, wouldn't LEGO outweigh anything? (except, maybe your wife (Denmark)) Well, you could give me that invitation. Ok, seriously, go see the new sets (because they look awesome) and watch KP later. On the topic of conflicts, who's going to run April Fool's Day if you're at BF PDX?
  13. For the Server Busy pages, and me just having had my English Mid-term exam, this is on my mind: I edited the first stanza to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" Here it goes: Once upon a server busy, whild I surfed, weak and weary Over many a quaint and curious volume of Bionicle Lore-- While it loaded, nearly lacking, suddenly there came that lacking As if something gently hacking, hacking for this server bore "Tis many visitors," I muttered, "tapping on the BZ Door Server Busy and nothing more" Go read that poem, And if you want a smaller "Raven" quote: Quoteth the Raven, "server busy, back up nevermore." I also have a good Star Wars one: "Luke, I am your server." now, does anyone actually take suggestions? -CF
  14. good idea. A very helpful list. I think that after half a year it should be updated: -GregF also writes the Exo-Force books -Might want to mention if some of these people are really active or not. (SturatS only has 3 posts) Nonetheless, I'll find this list helpful
  15. Yeah, in school, a kid was absent, so didn't get the homework, and my teacher wasn't too happy when they told them they didn't know what the homework was (even though they had a week to find out) -CF
  16. I'd like to join the lemon club! I especially like lemonade gatorade, slushies, and lemonade in general. I also put lemon on my fish and in tea. And it's just fun to eat it buy itself! Also, here's a quote, but I wonder if it's already been posted: "When life gives you lemons, it's best to hold out until it gives you sugar and water, too, or else you'll have some pretty gross lemonade." -CF
  17. That's right! I am now 17. Woohoo! Well, I guess some of you are past that now.... click here So far I have received $55, which will most likely all go toward Lego. (or some to some Manga) I also expect some manga, Lego, and camping equipment. (perhaps some surprises as well) There will be cake. (It's white with white frosting, so my brother and mom can eat it too (allergic to chocolate), but I did have a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate pudding in the middle when my friends came over on saturday (and we went to WAMALUG...)) Dinner will be chinese. I like Kung Pao chicken. (as well as Wonton soup. (thanx KIE!)) But do I really need to justify any reason for whatever I'm having? Well, that's about it. Sadly I have exams this week, as it's been for the past two years too. So it's not even announced on the announcements. Updates: Thanx guys for the comments Spoils: Defilak, Small Aqua Raiders, camping stuff, beef jerky, and the box in which I though contained manga contained Harry Potter 5&6--In French! This will be...fun?...interesting?...none the less it'll be good practice. Oh, and I got $20 to the Lego Store and $20 to TRU. That will definately go toward Lego. -CF
  18. sorry, KIE. But you said you couldn't do anything Actually, go to Lugnet and look on the map and see what they do have. Plan a vacation there and go to a meeting. Or perhaps one has started. Better yet: Start your own! that help? -CF
  19. Good luck! Are you going to ask for MOCs like last time? And I'd guess KIE from other people's guesses, or Binky, but he's in charge to the whole thing so no wonder he dumped Bionicle on you. Nevermind, just checked KIE's blog. It's him.
  20. Actually, you don't have to be a member of LUGNET to join a local LUG. (I'm not!) And it is definately worth it. Not only do you get 10% off at the local Lego Store, but there are other AFOLs (and sometimes teens like me) there, all discussing Lego! So, Omi, join NELUG. And Arpy, I would suggest going to a meeting -CF
  21. Well, on Saturday I went to my first Lego User's Group (LUG) meeting! The group is WAMALUG (Washington Metro Area LUG). I went with two 16 year old friends, and had an interesting time. I was able to talk with AFOLs young and older, and almost every new set was there. I was able to see the new Aqua Raider sets, some new Exo Force, a couple of Barraki and all the small box sets, and some new Star Wars sets. We also played BrickQuest, an RPG using Lego. I do plan on going back, but not until April or June, depending on when I have time. We'll also probable bring my System piece bins, and I'll bring some Bionicle MOCs, and we'll build there and get other people's opinions on the MOCs. So, anyone else belong to or at least visited a LUG? Oh, yeah, I signed their list, so now I get 10% off my purchases at my local Lego stores! -CF
  22. Well, my family got high speed internet now! Which means goodbye dial up! So things are going way too fast than I'm used to! Things I plan on doing really soon: go to Biowall and look at every imageLook at a bunch of BBC topicsDownload anime/mangaRead anime/mangaLoad pix to BrickShelfAnd a bunch of other stuff that I couldn't do 13.5 % speed ago. -CF
  23. Actually, I'm kinda answering my own question here. I found out the reason for not having a BF in August was whoever has the copyrights decision. Someone could start another Lego convention if they wanted to, just with a different name. (Actually, someone in DC's LUG said they think they wanted to do one!) And Omi, that was theoretical. Neither of us really has the right stuff (yet) to do that kind of thing. (Although it would be fun to rent out the hotel and tell everyone coming to organize it themsleves)
  24. Binky, April Fool's Day isn't until April 1st. I'm serious. Why? I even had some great MOCs I'm thinking of. This is a real dissapointment. Can you please elaborate on this. Or put a link? At least PM me, please, unless I can find something on BF.com right now....nope, nothing, so what is the reason for no BF07 in the east? (Especially since in the spring there's school) http://news.lugnet.com/events/brickfest/?n=3833 thanks. That clears things up. But...if, say, Omi and I decide to organize one, does that mean there can be an east coast BF? (And I know it is a lot of work. That's theoretical, but does it just take someone starting to organize it?) Oh, on the topic of where that money goes...it funds for the board. Anything else is stored for the next payment. Just though people would like to know that. (and I guess some goes to ads like in BrickJournal) -CF

    G R E E E N!

Cool, blogging in another color is a great idea. Infact, I use green. But I go two shades darker so it can be read without blinding readers. (Just a suggestion)
