  1. Binky, April Fool's Day isn't until April 1st. I'm serious. Why? I even had some great MOCs I'm thinking of. This is a real dissapointment. Can you please elaborate on this. Or put a link? At least PM me, please, unless I can find something on BF.com right now....nope, nothing, so what is the reason for no BF07 in the east? (Especially since in the spring there's school) Good luck on the CD and the MOCs. And on the topic of Legofan.org, I actually decide to check it out this week and it's down. Irony. So, what can I do to organize a BF07 in the east?
  2. As Tilius has mentioned in his blog entry, I now ask the same thing: Please don't pluarlize Bionicle words!!!! That pretty much explains it. It's not cool. There is a Toa of Light, and there are six Toa of Metru Nui. Zaktan is a Piraka, and all the Piraka are evil. There are six Turaga that watch out for the Toa Nuva. Generally, there are six of something and you don't need to add an 's' Continuing: There are six types of Vahki. A swarm of Bohrok are attacking the Koro. (that is a good examle!) Don't do it. -CF

    Ugh

And what'd your parents have to say? Or are you in college. Anyway, allnighters are bad ideas. Why exactly did you do it? I usually get 6 hours a night, and I complain. I guess I should stop now. -CF
  4. My friend had a good quote about Lego: Yeah, that's it. Please discuss. Oh, what do you think of the new/edited block? -CF
  5. as everyone else has said: disturbing. Why? Why would lego do that? Who would buy it? Isn't this a little young for Lego's target audience? Anyone ask GregF why?
  6. well, I got my ears lowered today. But I guess I needed it. If you know what I look like, just picture it shorter everywhere. If you don't know what I look like, I have a picture here. And that's today's blog entry! -CF
  7. that's funny. I read it, laughed at it, then laughed at your comments. That was really random, rude (yet funny), and whatever you want to say about it. I don't have that power. -Omi good. In that case...*walks off to spam Omi's inbox*
  8. Then get to work, because we can't wait! And in case I didn't say it already, get some pix on there from the set database. And the Premier discount sounds great! Good luck, Bink!
  9. Well, there is a new Lego Catalog out, and it has some great new sets. The Aqua Raiders look amazing (better than the Alpha Team Water Series), the new Exo Force are nice (I'll get to that in a moment), and of course there are the Barraki. I'm also set on getting the $10 clone trooper set for Star Wars, as well as the new Lego Star Wars shirt. Now, on with the Exo Force rant. These sets are great! The pieces you can get with them, the new-colored plug suits (That's what they're called in Evangelion), overall it's another good season. What gets me dissapointed is that they made a brick (or 2) that is basically a brick with a technic ball extending from one or two sides. Then they basically use a joint fo the other stuff. This piece is also in at least in one Aqua Raider set. Now, this might seem OK. It's great that Bionicle is expanding it's realm, right? Wrong. AFOL's don't like bionicle. (Well, there are some, but those traditionalists....) They don't think it has the Lego feel, even the Technic feel. So, IMO, by putting Bionicle pieces in other System sets, they might get discouraged. (Or they might see how cool it is and convert) Would it really have been so hard for Lego to use 5, 10, pieces to make a sufficent arm? So that's my current rant I can't do anything about. -CF PS, I do plan on getting Blade Titan
  10. That would totally be cool. Seeing as they have Exo Force, they are set up for their next anime series. The minifigs and veicles(sp) would be great, and anything else (I've only seen Advent Children) With that last comment, I don't know if it fits in, but a Cloud minifig would be awesome, but moreso his bike! And all those swords! Well, you know, it isn't too hard to do this yourself for next year's Brickfest. (someone actually did to Cloud) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=2018615 And then just build anything else you want to! Good luck! (and try asking GregF if he knows how you can suggest this to Lego)

    Goodbye

to weekday Foxtrot comics. That's right. Sadly, Bill Amend has decided to stop doing the weekday Foxtrot comics. There will still be the Sunday comic, though! Foxtrot was my favorite comic of the newspaper. Yeah, I really enjoy Zits and Spider-man, as well as others, but Foxtrot was the highlight of my morning. So, let's all remember how great Foxtrot is, and remember the clever daily strips. And here's to sunday. And if a certain comic writer is reading this, I ask him to please come back! -CF There is Pearls Before Swine, but the Comics page is just different without Foxtrot.
  12. that was very entertaining to read good idea, it should come back in a couple of months
  13. Lee's great! I met him at BF04, and again at BF06 and actually realized who I was talking to. I did know he built Loki, which is an awesome MOC. His other dragons are great too! What I didn't know was that he worked for Lego at one point in time. Now I'm going to have to say hi and ask about that. I've got lot's of questions. Well, congrat's Lee/Poetryinmotion! Oh, Mikerahk and Nikira and anyone else: Get to BF07!
  14. Seeing the Prometheus MOCed would be awesome. Just put in next to your Stargate! (I've always wanted to see a Puddle Jumper MOCed, though. Wanna try that sometime?) I got the Viking Chess for Christmas. It's really cool. I just don't have many people to play with, so decide if you want it to play with it, or just to have it around. I'm probably going to use the minifigs (24!) for parts if it just sits around looking pretty for too long. And as for the CD, I hope you can get the pic database on there. ... (My friend apparently got 3 of those boxes when he got the NXT, so he decided to give me one! Can't wait!)

  16. Well, I would like to bring in 2007 with a bang. BANG! So following with tradition since 6th grade, 2 friends and I got together to stay up past midnight watching movies and playing with Lego. All three of us (11th graders) spent last night building, discussing MOCing ideas (in all aspects of Lego), and playing on the computer, just to name a few. I mentioned earlier we exchange christmas gifts at this time, basically because this is the time we see eachother after school lets out for christmas break. So...I got Axonn! (my other friend didn't have much time to get me anything, but he did give me a gift none the less) And with my birthday coming up soon, lets hope I get some stuff I really want. We went to one of my friend's homes. He has an awesomely big field behind his house, so his parents made a bonfire! We also shot off roman candles, that was fun! So I slept in 'til 10 today. Now I'm online, and should get back to homework before school starts again tomorrow. -CF
  17. This is another reason why you should always have a camera with you at all times: You never know who you'll run into! (Click here if you can't see the pic) -CF
  18. I posted this in T-Hybrid's blog, and thought it was interesting enough to blog on. Basically my plans on Barraki. So, that's what I'm hoping for. Between late Chritsmas gits, my birthday soon, and then me buying stuff, there it it. -CF
  19. Pick a brick's always awesome. Or whatever you used. I hope you put the bricks together, to save room Of course! You've been doing this for a while. So, how did you exactly get one of these boxes? Is it like Pick a brick? What does one box cost? And good job on backing up BZP. You should probably burn that for Rex and Big D, just to be safe. (And then I'll intercept their mail and get it myself!) Anyway, it was a great idea, and the CD looks awesome. Merry Christmas!
  20. well, I got two manga for christmas, -Cowboy Bepop-Shooting Star -Trigun Maximum then I bought two at borders the next day, -Neon Genesis Evangelion 3 -FullMetal Alchemist 3 and I borrowed a manga from the library, -+Anima 2 and I also got this "manga" book for christmas. (I really don't like it. It is just comic claiming to be manga, it's left to right, they don't look anime-like. What it is is a book of 500 pages of people's comics, some good, some bad. Some seem like manga/anime, some very much not. It has some interesting stories, but it just doesn't have the manga feel. I'll read it, or some of it, just to be polite, then mark the good ones to lend out to friends. Honestly, I wish the gift giver had just gotten me the manga I had put on my wish list.) Well, it was a good thought. So I have five manga up in my room right now! (The book thing is under the tree with other stuff) I finished +Anima, and Eva. (Oh, yeah, chapter 14 was a surprise...) (If only Rei smiled sometime, at all, it looks like it's getting close.) So, that's my current Manga "schedule." I have to finish The World According to Garp soon (Like friday) for a book report (I wouldn't recommend this book), and I would like to finish Eragon before I see the movie on Saturday. Oh well. Sorry for the rant. Oh, and when I return from borders, there is an email saying buy two books, get one free. Arg!!! -CF
  21. anything and everything. Just a big place for me to get some manga and enjoy. I would like FullMetal Alchemist and DNAngel mostly. But I'd like to expand my reading to some new manga, though. -CF
  22. Well, look at their pieces, and decide if you need any for MOCing purposes. Decide which is more important: MOCing, or looks. Me: My first choice is /white/ because of the white double joints, and everything else white. (if only he had white rahkshi legs...) Once I get him, I want /green/ and /black/ for pieces, but /black/ seems to have newer pieces (including a black bit from the rahkshi's back), but I've always liked green and /green/ has some good pieces (plus those claws) I was also thinking of /"brown"/ because of his pieces, and now that I see him that it is more brown than an keetorange, I am very interested in picking him up because I really like the brown sets. As for the others, I don't quite need them. But here are some pros and cons: /blue/ has the trans ice blue from Toa Matoro. As well as piraka pieces from Vezok. Decide if you need those. Aside from that, the color scheme, IMO, looks horible (that light a blue on the dark blue), and you can use Lewa Nuva's Katanas instead of his/her (?) swords. /red/ has some good parts to him, but if you have Sidorak you already have four red rahkshi legs. /Red/ seems to have the least amound of new pieces, the only really good things being his armor. If only the feet were just plain red hordika feet... well, that's my rant, and suggestions. Look at the pieces, unless you aren't a MOCer. good luck -CF
  23. Well, I got some nice gifts for Christmas. (And why isn't anyone else blogging about their gifts?) Anyway, my parents figured out how to get me a $50 Lego set that would take up the least amount of space: Lego Viking Chess! Pretty cool, especially with 24 Minifigs, 8 silver spears, 12 ax heads, and 10 swords. I might just have to use some of these. (Or I'll keep it together if I find someone to play with....) I also got Dalu, but that is basically it for Lego, except my two friends and I exchange gifts on New Years Eve and they usually give me Lego. (My friend hinted too much at Axonn for me) I also got a really nice leather jacket, a new 1 gig flash drive, the Star Wars Calander, manga, and money. (and some important stuff like Philmont and camping gear) Well, that's about it. I'll use my money on manga, CD's, and any Barraki I don't get for Christmas or my birthday. (altough I only have one Inika....) -CF
  24. We'll see if I'm lucky to get online tomorrow, so I'm posting anything christmas today. To start, I made a topic about decorating your christmas tree, Link here, it's pretty fun. Second, on the name of this entry, I'm giving this a little more bionicle feel. You know, naming day! In one of the bionicle Adventures books, someone talks of Mata Nui riding throught the chutes and giving presents to matoran, so...Merry Naming Day! Well, in my family, there is the tradition of opening one present on Christmas Eve, so I opened one from my sister. It's this little, mini Godzilla/T-rex like keychain, and when you press a button/lever, his mouth opens, lights up, and he gives off a screme! What I'm hoping for this Christmas: -Philmont stuff -Lego stuff (new, old, Bionicle, System) -Calander (Star Wars) -CD's (Big list, let's see what I get) -New Flash Drive -HAPPINESS, AND THAT EVERYONE HAS A GOOD TIME, AND IS CONTENT WITH THEIR GIFTS So yesterday I had an idea, and MOCed today. It went pretty well, & looks cool. I'll post it later. I have about 7 MOCs currently built, and am running out of available pieces if I want to keep them all together (including the Fused Piraka). I still have a plethora of ideas, but none will work with the limit of pieces I have. I may have to start using premade Toa bodies, but those don't get many good reviews, so I'll steer away from that. Instead, I might start using System pieces. I have some Techinc bricks which will do well for attaching arms and legs, so I guess I'll try my hand at Fusion! I already got an idea. Oh, what was funny, was at Christmas Eve Mass, I got some MOCing inspirations. I won't tell what, it'll be a surprise, but it's going to turn out nice if I get to it. I even had some ideas which will work well into this idea! In KIE's blog entry, Sunny With a High of 75, we find out that KIE like's Reliant K. Although it's not that hot here in N. VA, I wish it was. Either that or 40 degrees colder. Yesterday it was 65, and today it was 55. Either make it nice, or make it snow. Please Oh, speaking of music, some of the best Christmas Music is from the Trans Siberian Orchestra. My friend has two of their Christmas CD's, and they are great. The Lost Christmas Eve is really good, but Christmas Eve and other Stories has Carol of the Bells on it, their most famous tune. (Oh, The Calling has a Carol of the Bells, and that is awesome as well). So I recommend checking out The Lost Christmas Eve, and especially check out Wizards in Winter and Siberian Sleigh Ride Oh, this is funny, but that one Christmas song can be changed a little... You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why: Santa Claus is hunting you down... ha! Oh, Omi says we should thank the UPS and Fedex guys. Thanx! Well, that's what's on my mind right now. Merry Naming Day Christmas! -CF
