  1. IC: 77 watched as the killer bot raised its sword, and he realized that it probably meant to kill him. And that there was next to nothing that he could do to stop it, except run, which seemed like a bad idea. He had no idea how fast it could go, and he doubted that the Captain would last too long against the mechanical foe. Organic beings were so fragile, after all!"I see. That is a most fascinating function. However, I am afraid that it will be impossible for you to fulfill it."
  2. OOC; Blade! You're Blade again! =PIC: 7"Fascinating... it bears a resemblance to me!" Unaware that it was probably calculating a dozen or so ways to kill him and Kreinan, 7 walked up to the larger robot. "Greetings! I am General Assistance Unit 7, and this is my Captain! What is your function?"
  3. Colds: They're no fun.

  4. OOC: .... It's not my fault that I missed it! You hid it at the bottom of a large post! =PIC: 77 walked up to the cube. "Odd. I wonder why it glows?"Unaware of the potential consequences, he reached for it.
  5. ... I recently adjusted my notifications to alert me to friend requests. I just discovered that several were sitting around, waiting for approval. *facepalm*

I know. That's the one that led me to the place where the others were gathering dust. And then I facepalmed. XD

  6. You would get smited, space edition.
  7. IC: Tellus"Yes, well, life on a ship is an active life. I don't think ye have to worry about me gettin' lazy. Now, shall we finish up sealin' that 'ole?"
  8. IC: Tellus"But the more ye use yore element, the more skilled ye become, the less energy ye need!" The carpenter went below decks with the lower-quality wood, putting it in the cargo bay and emerging a few moments later. "Besides, I said if no other wood was available."
  9. IC: TellusHaving misinterpreted what the other Toa meant the first time around, Tellus had to think for a moment before responding. "O' course. But sayin' that a stack o' wood is worthless for somethin' doesn't really apply to Toa o' the Green- ye can just use yore powers on it if other wood isn't available."
  10. IC: Tellus"Yore a Toa o' the Green, for Mata Nui's sake! Besides, ye can't just be throwin' away wood when yore aboard a ship! 'Tis better to 'ave some than none at all if yore in a pinch." Rolling his eyes, he picked up the discarded planks. "I'll go put these in the cargo bay."As he walked away, he could be heard muttering to himself. "Throwin' away wood..."
  11. IC: TellusTellus let out an exasperated sigh. "What's wrong with the bloody plank?"
  12. IC: Tellus"Exactly! It's a wonder ye could move at all!" Tellus glanced over his shoulder. "Planks an' sailcloth? Excellent. Bring the planks over 'ere, will ye?"
  13. IC: TellusHearing Gunner, Tellus replied, "Nope, except that ye've got a carpenter an' a shipwright now, an' the bloody armor was taken off!"For a moment, he paused, trying to remember who the voice belonged to. Oh, well, he'd figure it out later. Right now, he had to focus on repairing the hole in the ship.
  14. IC: Tellus"Thanks, Cap'n." Having finished sealing the hole with a thin layer of wood, he climbed aboard to continue inside.Ah, it was good to be aboard a ship again! Soon, he'd be out of Xa-Koro- while he liked the place, it just couldn't compare to the open sea. He grinned as he went below decks.Assuming that Verak was following him, he said, "Yore not too bad, Verak. Keep it up, and ye might get promoted to me assistant." Unable to keep a straight face, Tellus was careful to keep his back to the other Toa as he went to work.
  15. IC: TellusTellus raised his eyebrows, then simply shook his head and chuckled as he went to work repairing the hole, using his elemental powers."Never a dull moment aboard the good ol' 'Vika, eh, Cap'n? It's good ta be back."
  16. IC: TellusTellus began removing rivets as fast as he could without damaging the ship. There were only a few.... he could do this.... he looked up triumphantly.... and Verak said exactly what he was thinking."'Ow does that even 'appen? I mean, the chances o' us finishin' at the same time..." He shook his head."Oh, er, o' course, sir!" Tellus walked over and inspected the hole. "What 'appened 'ere?"
  17. IC: Tellus"We're down ta the last armor plate! I figure that we can decide the winner by removin' 'alf o' the rivets each. Countdown, ta be sure that we start at the same time!"Looking up, he noticed Lohkar carrying the armor. "Uh, Cap'n.... what are ye doin'?"
  18. IC: Tellus"Well.. I.... I'm not sure." Tellus frowned, considering the problem. "Maybe if we each remove one 'alf o' the rivets? Oi, Lohkar! Give us a countdown, will ye?"
  19. OOC: It's oddly fun to have them try to outdo each other when they seem evenly matched. XDIC: TellusTellus briefly considered speeding up, but that wouldn't be a great idea. He was going about as fast as he was comfortable with without potentially harming the ship. So, now it was a matter of outlasting the shipwright....A few residents of Xa-Koro had been gathering around the docks, trying to find out what exactly was making all that noise. The removal of the armor was far from quiet.
  20. OOC: I'm sure that that would be helpful if I knew anything about music. =PIC: TellusTellus, hearing his opponent getting even faster, gritted is teeth and sped up as well. Verak wouldn't be hearing any individual rivets falling, just steady CLANGS as the armor plates, rivets still attached, fell.
  21. IC: TellusTellus didn't reply. The two had moved out of sight of each other, with the hull blocking their view, but Tellus could still hear armor clanging to the deck on the other side. The other Toa was keeping up just fine. There had to be a simpler way... Instead of increasing the size of the hole to the point where the rivet slid out freely, he simply made it just large enough for the rivet to fit through. He repeated the process for every rivet on an armor plate, then simply expanded the wood beneath the armor enough to give it the push it needed to get started. Gravity did the rest. It was the work of but a moment to return the wood to its former size. It saved him only a little time and energy per plate, but it might just have given him the edge he needed....
  22. IC: TellusNoticing Verak beginning to pull ahead, Tellus began removing rivets even more quickly. Unfortunately, that had the side effect of draining his elemental energy faster.... but Tellus was determined to either finish first or outlast his newfound rival.
  23. IC: TellusTellus grinned again. This time, it was genuine. "Yore on, mate! Just don't forget ta seal up the 'oles- don't want ta set sail in a leaky ship!"He briefly considered counting to three, but shrugged the thought aside. Besides, he had a sneaking suspicion that Verak had already started. Realizing that he had learned Verak's name from Lohkar, he added, "Name's Tellus, by the way."
  24. IC: Tellus"Well, for a Toa o' the Green like me, it's not too 'ard. Ye just use yore powers ta make the 'ole bigger than whatever's 'olding it in, like so." The rivet slid out. "Though I still can't figure out why anybody'd put armor on a ship..."
  25. IC: TellusTellus also rolled his eyes."Whatever floats yer boat. 'Ow's the armor attached?"OOC: But for now, we'll have fun with this budding little rivalry. =P
