  1. 'Tis a worse shame that the LoA isn't receiving much attention from it's operator. A.K.A. Me.

You don't learn a word by using a synonym. XD But I'll consider the matter of whether or not to qualify synonyms.

And I'll also get on the first contest, the next challenge, and a little spreading of the word as soon as possible.

  2. I would probably join the WA if it were to return. More so if it was entirely different from the LoA, but in any case it would give me all the more incentive to write, and help me all the more to improve myself as an author.

  3. I have officially decided to participate, but first I have two inquiries:

First, hypothetically speaking, if I posted a topic titled "The Bula Chronicles: Nuances of a King," which was part of a series of Short Stories and/or Epics titled "The Bula Chronicles," hence the SS itself being titled as "Nuances of a King" despite the longer topic title, this would count as an N rather than a B, yes?

My second, less hypothetical question is: Would a complete rewrite of an old Short Story (or very short, horridly written Epic) be acceptable?

    Thank you. :)

    Sincerely, Nuile: Lunatic Wordsmith :smilemirunu:
  4. ...Wow. This is a mixture of insanity and awesomeness. It would be a great chance for inspiration to expand my Library...but I'm currently working on finishing an epic, and I have two more in the works. But I might participate when I finish that active epic in about a month....If I decide to join definitely, I'll let you know. :P Until then, good luck everyone, and spectacular idea RM!

  5. I'm so glad someone started another writers' club! I was disappointed when Story Fit disbanded, especially since I never even got a chance to join it.

And I've actually known about this one for a month or two, but didn't join because I hadn't been writing actively at the time. And when I started my weekly epic I just...forgot. 'XD

And this looks very well done, possibly better than some of the ones I've seen before. And I like the idea behind it. So anyway, sign me up! :)

Happy Holidays, Nuile: Lunatic Wordsmith :xmas:
  6. What's wrong with that? It's telling you how much...um...level wasteland you have left.

...Ahem. Wow, LEGO, that's kinda sad. :P But I guess everyone makes a typo every now and then. *shrug*
And that guy looks like Bob with hair.

  7. :( Cancelled? But Story Fit is so awesome! I only just found out about it, but it looks like such a brilliant idea! I was about to join when I saw this... D:
I'd be willing to help out with advertising. I can't PM, but I can comment on profiles, which is the next best thing. And I could have a link in my sig, and all my story topics. As everyone else, I just don't want this to end (especially before I even get to begin)!

    Sincerely, Nuile: Crazy Writer :smilemirunu:
  8. Do we have to post reviews here, like with the BBC CC?

    That's already been answered:

One question--do we post links to our reviews in this entry like the SSCC/ECC?

    Yeah.

    :)

To reply to what the answer to my question, Velox, I guess I agree with you there. Comedies aren't generally literate, and even if they're literate they're written in script form. If you want to be a movie writer, okay, but if you want to be a novel writer, not good practice. :P

  9. This is an inspiring idea, and I like what this club stands for. The BZP Library could use more people to read, review, and write. Admittedly, I myself, have reviewed few stories. But I would much like to, and you have inspired me to. I would happily uphold the standard of reviewing three topics a month as a member, and would like to become such.

Also, I have a question. The reviews you ask of the club members can be done in any area of the BZP Library, yes? For example, I could do one in Short Stories, one in Epics, and one in Comedies every month?

Current status: I don't have many posted works at the moment, and sadly not many more written. I'd like to find more time to write, but it's tough. I will continue to try, though. Currently I'm working on an epic, titled The Rise of Scorch, of which I have completed the first part(four chapters long), and plan to write three or four more of similiar length. I also have a comedy in the works, which hasn't been posted, and one I've temporarily discontinued to work on the new one, Ask mantax.

What do you like to write?: I prefer long stories, whether I'm reading or writing them. My favorite genres are Adventure and/or Mystery, and if I had to choose a label for the non-comedy stories I like to write, I guess I'd pick Adventure/Mystery.

What to look for: Good grammar is a must with me. I try not to be too critical of others' grammar when posting, but if you are writing a story, good grammar is definately something I want to see. I like plots to be vast and complex, leaving a world of questions unsanswered, leaving it open to your imagination. There should always be a decent network of characters. Heroes, villains, and characters that are both or neither. Complex personalities, as well. And a good description is always helpful to form an image of the story in your mind. I dislike swearing and inappropriate subjects in a story, but that's not typically a problem with Bionicle.

Misc: Generally what I do on BZP is post in hot topics, view and review Stories/MoCs, and occasionally browse General Discussion, asides from posting my own MoCs/Stories/etc. In real life I'm an avid reader, Lego fan, Pokémon fan, cook, and, of course, writer. Someday I hope to publish a few stories, but that's a long ways off.
