1. Cool, I'll watch it when I get the game.
2. OOC: Keep it up. Go on, Salamander doesn't really mind... IC: Salamander "In the future, watch that your tongue doesn't land in you in trouble. As it is, I'm willing to humor you. For now, that is." Salamander chuckled darkly, his eyes glowing a deep orange. "He used a broadsword, and as for special traits... He had none. Nothing that would set him apart from any other crazy Matoran-killing Toa." OOC: There's no way you could know he is lying, so please don't try that.
3. OOC: Bad move. Salamander doesn't react well to stuff like that. IC: Salamander Salamander couldn't hold back the retort this time. "Really? Gee, thanks for telling me. After all, I would never have known what "overlook" meant if you hadn't explained it to me." He sighed, evidently resigned to telling Nikaron the barest amount of possible. "Alright, listen up, 'cause I'm not going to repeat myself. I fought the murderer and was unable to stop him from killing Matoran. He also got away, and Tuara here saw him leaving. Aside from the fact that he is a Toa of Ice, we know nothing else about him. Satisfied?"
4. OOC: He has a tendency to look down on others, but he also tries to hid it. Most of the time. In short, don't take it personally. Oh, and he's slowly edging back towards his meanie mode. Word of warning. IC: Salamander Salamander crossed his arms and stared haughtily at Nikaron. "And if I don't? To be perfectly honest, there isn't anything to overlook."
5. OOC: Not saying there's anything wrong with it, but Nikaron jumped to a really weird conclusion. Besides, if you want to catch a murderer, what else will matter if not fighting ability? Yes, you would need to be able to find him, but after that? If you can't fight with any reasonable amount of skill, it will all be for nothing. Just to be clear, I wasn't using strength in its literal sense... :l IC: Salamander Salamander held back the sarcastic remark that he desperately wanted to release and tried to remain polite. "Yeah, I guess we do need help finding him since we don't know where he is..." Is this some sort of joke? There's absolutely no way I'm letting this guy get near Utu, he'll just end up dead. Salamander imagined what would happen to the Toa and grinned ever so slightly. Then again... It might be kinda fun to watch...
6. IC: Salamander Salamander chuckled. "She's Tuara, a deputy member of the Guard. Or something like that..." He stood up and brushed the dust off of his coat. Facing Nikaron, he tried to determine how strong the Toa was. After a moment, he made up his mind. "No, there isn't. We don't even know where the culprit is right now."
7. Yeah, but I find that most of the "bad" openings have a habit of growing on me... Of course, since I'm too lazy to skip them most of the time, I guess that's only natural.
8. IC: Salamander Salamander eyed the newcomer with curiousity. At Tuara's words, he casually raised rasied a hand in greeting. "Yeah, I'm Salamander. Nice to meet you..."
9. Yeah, the answer is Bink. Although, I'm kinda surprised you didn't send me a message in the mail asking about it (since a get a few every week asking for the answer, despite the people having no idea what BZP is ). Oh well. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the top of the tower. I completely ran out of vertical space at that point, so I worried that it might feel a bit squished.
10. IC: Salamander Salamander shook his head, saying, "No, I'm not really that keen on defeating him. If I meet him again I'll be sure to give him a challenge, but I'm not about to start walking all over this island in search of one lousy Toa." Salamander tried to imagine how a fight between himself and Utu would end. It would definitely be a tough battle... But I might be able to win...
11. IC: Salamander Salamander shrugged, saying, "Not my problem. However, I'm sure there are other Toa in the village who can do your job. I don't think letting the whole island know anout Utu is the greatest idea, as it might just put all the Matoran into a panic. In other words, you are one of the few people who can find and take down Utu, if only because you know who he is." Salamander finished speaking and looked at the far wall, as if contemplating a difficult puzzle. If I can convince her to come, taking Utu down would be far easier. She wouldn't even need to fight, just provide me with fire to fuel my attacks... OOC: Yes. That was my plan all along.
12. IC: Salamander Salamander felt the sudden urge to hit something. Here was a Toa, like himself, who was so blinded by duty that she refused to even follow her own sense of justice. As strongly as Salamander felt, however, he kept his cool and tried to come up with a reasonable solution. After a moment, it came it him. "Why don't you ask Jaller for permission to leave Ta-Koro in order to capture Utu?"
13. IC: Salamander Salamander frowned at Tuara's words. "Aren't you a Toa? Go search the island for him of course! And Why would you ever think bringing Matoran along would be a good idea? He's already proven himself willing and able to kill Matoran; you'd just be leading them to their deaths."
14. IC: Salamander "Well, if that's the case I guess I have no choice but to accept your apology. Although I don't see how I wasn't clear enough... What more do you need to know about a blizzard before it is clear to you?" Salamander sat back down, his armor slowly cooling down. The scale patterns in his armor were still glowing slightly, so Salamander admired them for a moment before turning his attention back to Tuara. "So, now that you know all that, what will you do?" OOC: Quick explanation as to why his scale patterns are glowing. Those parts of his armor are slightly thinner (since the paterns had to be etched in) and thus heat up quicker. It's really just in comparison that they glow, as the rest of his armor would have to be at a slightly lower temperature (but still pretty dang hot) for the glowing patterns to be visible in the room. Anyway, I've had something like that in mind for a while and decided to make it official.
15. IC: Salamander Salamander held up a hand, silencing Tuara. "I didn't say I watched as he killed them, I said I didn't feel like stopping him after they were killed. For some reason, he killed more Matoran the longer our fight went on, so I was trying to end it and get away from him, thus saving Matoran lives." Salamander stood up, his body beginning to give off more and more heat. It was the only indication of the firece wrath he was feeling, as his facial features remained perfectly calm. "Next time you decide to call someone terrible, make sure you are either correct or that they aren't within hearing range. I'll tell you right now, it isn't a particularly pleasing experience." OOC: I know that isn't specifically what he said, but it's what he meant.
16. You would probably need to get it from a Vortixx, as the island has a relatively low tech level. Other than that, I don't see any real problems. However, the BZPRPG staff could choose to treat stuff like this on a case-by-case basis, in which case you'd be best to ask one of them directly.
17. IC: Salamander Salamander shrugged, this time with with a touch of guilt. "I dunno. Didn't feel like it, I suppose." OOC: Just imagine him picking his nose right about now.
18. Nope, this is the first I've heard about it. Unless you are talking about something that happened a few months ago, in which case I might know what you are talking about.
19. OOC: Glad to hear it. I'm still laughing at the community service part. IC: Salamander Salamander paused to think about his encounter with Utu, trying to remember every possible detail that could be helpful. "Well, I'd say that his power, whatever it is, increases his strength. It might increase other abilities as well, but I've seen the strength enhancing aspoect of it for myself, so I'm certain of that one. As for the cause of it, or the technical part of his powers... It could simply be an andvanced elemental absorbtion technique. Granted, I doubt there is anyone on the island besides myself with such a thing, but there's always the chance." Salamander laughed, uncertain himself on whether or not that scenario was even possible. " At the very least, I'm certain that it isn't a mask power. The energy required for his power came from an outside source, the problem is what that source is..."
20. IC: Salamander Salamander yawned, obviously not very interested in the topic. However, Tuara seemed excited at the prospect of new information, so he decided to tell her at least part of what he knew. "Well I was fighting him, wasn't I? Of course I was there... As for why I didn't come to the Guard, I thought this sort of thing was commonplace. Why, where I come from..." Salamander went into a long-winded explanation of all the dangerous Rahi he had had to deal with on a regular basis at his home. When he finished, he then went into an in-depth description of all the unpredictable weather patterns and dissaters he had experience on the same island. In the middle of his description of all the criminals on his old island, Tuara finally lost patience and cut him off. "Is there a point to any of this?" Salamander frowned, obviously displeased at being interrupted. "Not really, no. However, I was about to tell you how I had to walk 18 Kios everyday in a blasted blizzard for a whole week, just because two rogue Toa of Ice and Air decided it would make for a good joke. I'd rather not go ino an explantion of what I did to them in return, but let's just say it involved a lot of fire and community service." Salamander leaned back, staring absent-mindedly at the ceiling. It took him a moment to remember what exactly Tuara had wanted to know in the first place. "His name was Utu. Toa of Ice, undoubtably rogue, possible one of theose "Dark Toa" I've heard rumors about lately... Element of Ice. He had one other power, but I can't quite put my finger on what exactly it is..." His voice trailed off as he became lost in thought. "Do you know any powers associated with purple? 'Cause his eyes were glowing purple-y like crazy." OOC: This was a fun one to write up...
21. OOC: Please... You are crediting him with far too much intelligence. He already forgot about them. IC: Salamander "Slept. Ate. Walked around the village. Bought stuff. Fought a guy who killed two Matoran. Nothing special." Salamander shrugged casually, obviously not bothered by what he had just said. OOC: Aaaand he promptly remembers.
22. IC: Salamander "That doesn't sound fun at all..." Salamander chuckled darkly. He slowly started knocking the figures down one by one. Eventually, only one small figure remained standing. He casually rested a finger on it, threatening to tip it over. "The balance is broken... One move could tip the scales in favor of either side... But I'd rather just burn those old-fashioned beliefs to ashes,,," OOC: The small text is him muttering to himself, but you probably already knew that.
23. IC Salamander Salamander nodded to show that he understood, doing his best to mask the confusion he still felt. Deputy of the Guard? That's new... "Sounds llike fun. I'm sure that it involves a lot of running around the village, chasing after petty criminals..." He bent down and started moving figures on the map of Ta-Koro. He carefully arranged them in a pattern, that if viewed from above would be instantly recognizable to any Matoran or Toa. OOC: UDD Symbol, and he's just messing around.
24. IC: Salamander Salamander laughed and fell into step behind Tuara. "No, not lost. Although with the size of this place, I'm still trying to figure out how I didn't get lost..." His face became more grim in appearance as he thought about the fight he had just seen. Tuara had been actively involved in it, so there was a chance she could tell him more about it. "So, what are you going to do now? About that fight, I mean."
