  1. IC: Salamander Salamander shrgged at Utu's words, and stared impassively as the Toa of Ice ran his sword through the Matoran. As the lifeless body hit the ground, Salamander reached back, and delivered a punch to Ut's mask powerful enough to send him realing. Without waiting, Salamander turned and started walking away. "I don't believe in any of that stuff, and as for hope... Well, let's just say that I prefer to take a more hands-on approach with my life." OOC: The punch was more to show how he felt... I felt as if he had to punch Utu in this situation... And by the way, can you please have Utu quit acting like a fool and just tell Salamander his name already?
  2. IC: Salamander Salamander ignored the Matoran's cries and continued walking into the alley. He had to find his coat... Ah, there it is. There was more dirt on it than he would have liked, but it was still manageable. Salamander carefully put it on as he walked back into the street. Suddenly, he heard a voice that sounded familiar. The Venator guy was standing in front of Utu. no doubt trying to convince him to let the Matoran go. Without warning, Utu attacked, throwing the other Toa into the ground. Salamander involuntarily winced at the impact. Sighing, Salamander slowly walked into the street and towards Utu. He pulled his collar up, trying to hide as much of his face as he could. As he walked, he tried to figure out the best way to deal with Venator. Only one idea came to mind. Salamander walked up to Venator and kicked him in the head as hard as he could, sending the Toa flying a good five feet. Salamander hoped that the blow would knock Venator out, bt he had obviously proven himself to be able to withstand a great amount of pain. Fortunately, it looked like it had worked. Venator lay slumped on the ground, barely moving except for the occassional breathing. Turning to Utu, Salamander frowned. "What do you want?"
  3. IC: Salamander "Your breath, I'm sure." Salamander spoke in a flat voice, but his eyes gave away his worry. He wasn't even sure that saving the Matoran was going to possible... Salamander turned away and started walking towards the alley, intending to pick up his cloak. "If you aren't going to fight me seriously, I'm out of here. See ya later, 'that rude Toa'!" Without turning to look at Utu, Salamander casually waved his hand ,as if in farewell.
  4. OOC: What. Yeeeeaaah... Whatever. IC: Salamander Salalamander hit the ground rolling. His head hurt, but not enough to make him stop fighting. "So let me get this straight. Instead of being smart and swatting me away with that over-sized sword of yours, you instead let me get within striking distance and try to punch me off course." Salamander stood straight up, his eyes glowing bright orange. "Yeah... No. If you insist on carrying around such a big weapon-which I think might be to compensate for something-at least give it the courtesy of use every once in a while..." Salamander stood with his arms crossed, almost as if he was asking for Utu to strike back. OOC; Got to say, I love throwing in insults.
  5. OOC: Ah, I forgot how fun that fear power is... Especially when Salamander is involved. That aside, why are people in Ta-Koro so scared of flames? IC: Salamander Salamander stepped out of the alley, already searching for Utu. It didn't take long to find him. The Toa stood in the middle of the street, giving off an aura of supreme confidence. Not only that, but his eyes, previously a light blue, now shone a deep purple. Something's definitely odd about this guy... Salamander pushed his thoughts aside and prepared to attack once more. With a deep breath, he leaned forward, activating his Kanohi Kadin as he fell. The result was that Salamander took flight mere inches from the ground. As he rushed over the street, he shouted once more, gaining altitude as he approached Utu. "Dragon Blaze!" Salamander burst into flames just as he went to deliver s crushing blow to Utu's skull. OOC: Yup. Using the Kadin in his attacks. 'Cause that's how Salamander is.
  6. IC: Salamander "Ooh, nice sword. Too bad-Oh, wait. I don't think I'll tell you that." Salamander took a step forward, his arm outstretched. Slowly, he raised his hand so that his palm was facing Utu. Here we go... "Dragon Breath." A blast of flames spewed out of his mouth and past his arm, increasing in size as it flew towards Utu. OOC: The blast is about as wide as the alleyway.
  7. IC: Salamander Salamander chuckled, his eyes shining dangerously. It had been a while since anybody had threatened him, and it was then that he realized just how much he had been itching for a fight these past few days. Salamander crossed his arms, grinning with amusement. "I probably wouldn't care about your identity nearly as much if you didn't make such a big fuss about it. If you don't want people to know your name, just make up a fake name. As for me..." Salamander took off the coat that he always wore and tossed it aside. "I think I'm going to force you to tell me now." OOC: Lessons in tact by Salamander... Oh, the irony.
  8. OOC: Then I guess Utu will have to find someone else to fight... IC: Salamander Salamander grinned at Utu's words. Without warning, he jumped off the edge of the building and down towards the ground. "Ouch... That kinda hurt... I'm Salamander, and I was kinda bored. Besides, you bumped into me at the Kolhii stadium. I figured I could at least find out who you were. I was getting tired of having to refer to you as 'that rude Toa'..." OOC: The small text is supposed to be under his breath.
  9. OOC: What the heck; this is getting boring. I need a fight. IC: Salamander Salamander watched as the Toa looked around. Apparently, he hadn't been quiet enough and the Toa had heard something. As the Toa looked up, Salamander rose to his feet and waved. "Hello."
  10. IC: Salamander Salamander watched as the Toa he was following suddenly entered a narrow alleyway. Puzzled, Salamander slowed down. He figured that it was a trap, but he didn't know how best to approach the situation. Sure, he could simply walk away, but now he was especially curious... Looking around, Salamander noticed that the alley was located between two rather tall buildings. It would have been a difficult climb up, but Salamander had the power of flight at his disposal. Activating his Kadin, Salamander launched off from the ground and shot up into the sky. He turned his mask power off as he approached the building, letting his momentum carry him the rest of the distance. Landing neatly, Salamander quietly crawled towards the edge of the the building and looked down. It was darker than he had expected, but he could just barely make out the outline of the Toa. Now to wait... OOC: It's dark, so you can't say that he saw Salamander's shadow. Honestly, Salamander shouldn't be seen at all, but whatever.
  11. IC: Salamander Salamander walked down the streets of Ta-Koro, his hands stuffed inside his pockets. The shops in this area were all run-down, and only a few had anything interesting inside of them. Just as Salamander was walking past the fifth tool shop, he caught a glimps of a being who looked just like the "rude" Toa from the Kolhii Stadium. The Toa's face was concealed by a hood which Salamander found odd, especially when the Toa's coloring indicated that he was a Toa of Ice. Curiousity aroused, Salamander started following the Toa froma distance. At the very least, it will give me something to do... OOC: That would be Utu.
  12. Ooh, that's my favorite one. Can't wait to hear your version of it.
  13. I haven't recieved anything like that... Odd, but oh well. FREE STUFF!
  14. Okay, thanks. It's a shame I don't have any of those.
  15. What are some of these ultra rares? From my experience, most of the rare items link when you pick them up...
  16. Oh God yes. That was beautiful. I'd love a full game to look like that.It was truly amazing. I hope they use that graphical style for Wii U Zelda, as it would be a great way to show off just how powerful the system is. And as much as I hate to admit it, a realistic style is the safest way to go. Die-hard fans will play it because it's Zelda, even if they don't like the art style. Non-fans will likely be more open to it and not dismiss it due to having "cartoony" graphics like SS and WW. Shouldn't we want people to get into the series for a reason other than how it looks? I'm not against a realistic art style (even though I do love the styles in WW and SS), but there is so much more to Zelda than just that.
  17. Teridax. Makuta is a species and title, not a real name.
  18. I used to pronounce it as LEE-wah, but when I found out that LAY-wah was the official pronounciation, I started saying it that way instead. You know, I'm actually kinda happy with how well that worked for me. After years of saying it one way, I was able to change that without too much difficulty.
  19. BRPG, although I've been spending more time in COT than usual since the downtime...
  20. OOC: Changing Salamander's backstory slightly to fit that in... Now that I think about it, completely fogetting your own name is kinda silly. IC: Salamander "Same goes for you. I hope that if you find that dragon, justice prevails." Salamander walked past Venator, thankful tat he had avoided a fight with the Toa. Both of them were simply doing what the believed was right, but Salamander knew that one day he would have to face Venator. When that day comes, Venator will know of my strength, and he will learn to fear the Dragons. OOC: Salamander open for interaction
  21. OOC: Dang it, why did I have to come up with such a cool fake name? That does it, Lacertus was part of his orginal name. IC: Salamander "You know, I believe I have heard of the Lacertus family before, perhaps I have even met a relative of yours." Salamander laughed, but his insides were writhing with rage. Somehow, despite his best efforts, everything he did had the opposite effect of what he wanted. "Well, that's entirely possible. Of course, it's been so long since I saw any of them that I can't remember much about them..."
  22. OOC: Really? Cause you sure seem like it. IC: Salamander Salamander wanted to yell out his name for the world to hear, to declare his identity for all to know, but something held him back. Salamander had been the name of a dragon. When he abandoned his old name, he chose "Salamander" as his new moniker. He had worn it with pride, for it gave his life purpose. But now... Salamander was depserately wishing he had chosen a name that was a bit more subtle. Lying it is, then... "Sal Lacertus. And you are?"
  23. Nice! You did a good job making it feel a bit more tribal, but I have to agree with TheSkeletonMan939. It seems far more complicated that the version found in the game, and the original succeeded because of its simplicity. Still, I feel like I'll be listening to this all day.
  24. OOC: Ohs noes! Dwagons awe scaaaawy... Okay, that was a really good reference on your part. IC: Salamander Salamander was silent. He didn't know how to react, or if he even should. Dragons. He probably knew more about dragons than almost anyone on the island. He knew their history, powers, and how to kill them. But he didn't know where they were. From what he had heard, Dragons didn't even exist on this island. Granted, he hadn't scoured every inch of the island in his search for them, but usually there were rumors. A mysterious fire here, a flying beast there; stuff like that. On this island, there was nothing. Suddenly, a thought occurred to him. Either this Toa was nuts (which seemed likely) and thought that dragons could somehow not look like giant scaled monsters straight out of a Matoran's nightmare, or he sincerely thought that one could be found walking around in Ta-Koro. Either way, he's definitely crazy. The problem was that Salamander used techniques that imitated a dragon's powers. If he said the wrong thing, this guy could actually be led to believe that Salamander himself was a dragon. Salamander desperately tried to think of a way to avoid that outcome, but could only come up with one. Salamander hated himself for what he was about to say. "Dragons... don't exist." He spoke in a flat voice, his eyes glowing a dull orange. He looked absolutely bored, but he felt nervous. Very, very nervous. OOC: I'd rather not fight him yet.
  25. IC: Salamander Salamander laughed, amused by the idea of a wild beast posing a threat in such a busy place. Sure, a lot of people could get hurt, but it would be fun to fight. Of course, the very idea of a "dangerous creature" roaming through Ta-Koro was absurd, but Salamander decided to humor the odd Toa. "If I may ask, what kind of creature are you talking about?"
