  1. Too much pride if you ask me. What have they got to lose by admitting they made a mistake? I'm sure some tech-savvy BioFan would spend some time on it making it at least a little playable (and other than the Onua level, what evidence do we have of other game-crippling glitches? This one just looks like a collision/area detection adjustment mistake). Besides, if Lego is really that nitpicky about quality and all, then let them explain all the very brittle and broken pieces in my collection from the later years! (And I know BZPower is only a small part of the BioFanbase )
  2. Selfish? Really? Look at it this way: The LEGO Group knows the game to be glitchy, sub-par, and incomplete. That's why they didn't release it in the first place. If they released a glitchy, sub-par, and incomplete game today, even to fans, it would still be likely to reflect badly on them as a company and on BIONICLE as a brand, especially if "gameplay videos" that highlight the game's shoddiness begin to propagate. Suppose somebody's looking up BIONICLE in the future. Would it be better for them to find things like the Mata Nui Online Game that were the zenith of design quality, or to find things related to a sloppy game that was released to fans when it wasn't anywhere near ready? Which do you think will give them a stronger opinion of BIONICLE as a whole? Of course it wouldn't have been a good career move to release the game THEN, but what is keeping them from doing it now?!Its over a decade old and the franchise is all but cancelled. They could just better release the game and source code to the fans for them to mulch over it (after all, lego says they fully own the game). So yes, I find it quite selfish, if not ignorant to the fanbase of one of their most succesful themes of the early 21st century! The number of fans actually interested in this game should be fairly small, all things considered. Why waste the resources finding the game and uploading it to their servers after processing it in such a way that making it available for public download would be in accordance with their quality standards, especially considering BIONICLE was cancelled four years ago? For LEGO, it would make more sense to just not do anything about it. -Gata Can't they just give it to BZPower? Or the BioMedia Project? They wouldn't need to feel bad about hosting that game themselves. Besides, if very little people are intrested in the game, why does the repitition of TLoMN topics happen all the time? How did you manage to sodge that up!? XD
  3. Case in point. Literally nothing would change in this scenario, except that it would be established earlier. Somehow that would make it okay, despite being horrible and character-ruining seconds ago. This fandom has some of the thickest rose-colored glasses ever; I still see the occasional fan that refuses to say "Matoran" and insists on calling them "Tohunga"... Admittadly "Tohunga" has a more tribal feel to it than Matoran. But then that would mean the name would only actually fit with the 2001-2003 part of the story. I wouldn't have minded the Agori to be called Tohunga, fits better with them (why is New Zealand so nitpicky!?)

  5. That's perfect! So its decided! He now from this point on officially be named "Fluffy"!
  6. The brutality is basically the same in both versions - the Kaita wack Manas about with their weapons. The MNOLG is arguably more brutal in Wairuha taking a few blows and being briefly knocked out. Not really. They defeat the Manas by hitting and kicking them and they even "slaughter" a Mana-Ko (I think that's its name). In MNOG the Manas are defeated by destroying the towers, which shuts down their energy source. It's not quite the same. Then again, we may both be reading too far into things. -Gata In MNOLG you see them chopping Mana's in two before they realise they're being overwhelmed. Then they spot the Makuta control nodes (They're really not that tall )
  7. Wow wow wow! Three years!?! By gods, don't they have a faster means of transport!?! ... Ok... on second thought, three years is probably nothing to somebody who lives for a million or so years (yeah, Homo Sapiens are a rather... fast race). So... he could likely be a Bo-Matoran... or whatever prototype comes before the Bo-Matoran. Actually, scratch that. Takua was the first 'modern' Matoran, whatever the GB made before that turned into the Zyglak. And that was after the war and the Shattering, and since that didn't happen yet... I'd have to say this one particular Matoran is a victim of a temporal anomaly. (Don't mind me, just brain storming a bit). I was going to comment on the missing " symboles, but then I read your post. All of the "s are missing except on one point. My intention with Annona was that since she/it energy, she/it doesn't exactly have any real shape. It appears the only two consistant things about her are that she glows blindingly like a sun and that she has tentacles. But the illusions thing can also make sense. A Human's mind deliberately "builds" an image of something it cannot understand in the hope to make it more understandable, the shape I drew her in could be the result of the abserver's conception.
  8. This would be the 9th time I've read this same message from Lego. Apparntly Lego owns the ENTIRE game, but doesn't want to give it out. That is very... selfish of them! I mean, how old is it now?? Relic released Homeworld as semi open-source when they considered it too old, and they already had the sequel Homeworld 2. Despite the fact they were verymuch willing to sell the tech-demo prototype of the originally intended Bionicle 2 game, AND have 2 officially released games (not counting the ones on portable consoles) they still want to keep TLOMNG for themselves...
  9. Whoops, typo. Corrected! XDYou can't fix it. It's word filtered. Wuh!? *Looks back at word* Darn it! Thanks, and this REEEEEAAAAAALLLYYY makes me want to have Skyrim. Seriously, just for this moderator! Well, the general idea is to have a total conversion of Skyrim to the island of Mata Nui. So in the end you wont see wolves and Normans walk around but instead Mahi and Matorans Yeah, the trailers are just........ O.O No I didn't! High 5 him for me! ^^ "It's not Lewa, but another Toa of Air, fighting monsters in Skyrim." Besides that, it could just as well be Lewa since all the Toa Mata were on a quest to find 6 masks and did use them. EDIT: Here is their main site: Linkiii Its in Russian so don't expect to understand much of it. It appears though that they have already started on Matorans! Image I wish sme of those made-up parts were real...
  10. Anybody heard of the "Legend of the Toa" mod for Skyrim!? Well check it out! Here's the project on ModDB: Click Mii And here are some of the latest pictures: Dat Nui Jaga is just !!! Despite the moderator is far from complete, there is already an addon that allows you to select the Toa as a playable race with Kanohi powers, Element powers and special weapons/armour. I'm really surprised I haven't heard anything about this over here...
  11. I believe there exsisted a topic like this on the old forum some time ago and I'm surprised that nobody made a new one. Guess I will Mine are: -"You have no powers," said the Makuta, picking up a wickedly sharp blade. "You have no mind. You are about to have no head." (Destiny war) -"So who are you, exactly?" asked Tarduk. "My name is... ah... Toa Vezon," he said, loud enough for all the Toa to hear. "I'm the Toa of... of... Anarchy." Tarduk frowned. "Okay. I see. We were really hoping for Ice... gets pretty hot doing this work." Vezon looked around. No one had reacted at all to his name... not even Jaller. (Reign of Shadows)
  12. And I'm sure the Matoran were thinking exactly the same thing XD
  13. Like Bonesiii here, I noticed everyone... or the Turaga at least (note, Matoran never said "the" Makuta, only the Turaga actually did) always said "the" Makuta. So I had a strong feeling this Makuta that everyone was referring to on Mata Nui could just as well have been the face of a shady organization. A kind of anglerfish light to attract everyone away from the real threat. Admittadly though, when I heard about the Makuta "species" I was like "Holy %#@&!!!! There are MORE of these guys!?!! Great! Now they have to fight a WHOLE BUNCH of superpowerful evil things!".
  14. I'm not sure why yet another topic like this is needed (if you don't mind me saying). Nobody has actually any new information to contribute, and the thread will just end up running around in circles... again. I've read this thread fully and I'm reading the exact same things that were said in any of the previous topics (yes, even the WTC theory).
  15. I know, Bionicle is intended for 6+, but the story somehow contains a lot of mature stuff, and considering that a 6 year old wouldn't actually understand much from it... Likely hte main reason Bio got cancelled in the first place... The writing could still have been a lot better, I have been entertained by movies intended for much younger ages before. I didn't understand it was a Kohlii match until many years later when I read about the event ^^;
  16. What I have been saying not all too many posts ago (not the same way, but...). Apparently nobody agrees with that...
  17. That would've actually been quite cool... albeit a bit on the "facing your corrupt creator" cliché side...
  18. Hmm... I dunno. Sure, its how you would react, but that is because of your personality. Me, I wouldn't get angry; I'd be too curious for my own good (and probably die from touching the EP anyway XD ) and some frustration about not having answers served on platters. But that would only drive my curiosity and I'd probably stay quite and silently observe when I would come in contact with another individual. Could very well be. Its what I thought at least (that, besides the fact that he could be from an undefined element that doesn't display emotions as much as other like Ko-Matoran). Personally I'm liking it so far, and this turn of event is actually to be expected when Metus comes in the mix....
  19. Yeah, I would've loved to see more fleshed out Tuma in B4. The only time when I actually related to him was when reading the serial.
  20. Is there such thing as a browser-based GBA emulator? I'm sure one could be made, but I don't know of any currently existing, and I'm really not about to make one. If any of you know vSauce on YouTube, in one of their DONG (Do Online Now Guys) episodes they presented a website with browser based emulators for almost anything.
  21. I was actually stating a possible fact; they did cut corners. Like with the unexplainable hammerspace void behind everybody's back. Also, the Nuva sets armour had such a clear place where a heartlight could go that I had actually placed a trans bright green stud there. That was about eight months before I saw the actual movie. So I suppose they really are meant to have a hreatlight from the very beginning. Oh, more info on the blinking; actual blinking is only when dying, when healthy it pulsates.
  22. And exactly because of that I think it was a bad move to make a Bionicle film at that time. I really did not have that feeling of a conclusion to a buildup the movie was apparently meant to serve.
  23. Wait... what? No! Not you! my real actual second little brother! XD The beginning and how they became Toa wasn't bad, its the rest afterwards. They could've just as well done that in another form, comic or book, along with the Morbuzak adventures, then afterwards had the movie. This would attract potential readers who only saw the movie to find out what happened before. Or they could've started it as a movie and anythng else later on for the intrested in continueing the story. OR.... they could've had a higher quality flash series that releases a 20 minute episode monthly or bimonthly that tells parts of the story and the comic that tells the other parts throughout and in between. Especially the last one would fit to the style of doing things Bonsesii mentioned. It felt more like the possability was there and they jumped at it impatiently... Like you said before, cgi wasn't as big and cheap as it is now. Personally I would've waited a little longer with making a movie. It had a nice-ish beginning, then felt like it took too many short-cuts to the end. Same goes for Bio 3. It is just simply shallow. And not just because it doesn't tell enough of the year's story. It contains so many missed opportunities that the movie itself felt like a missed opportunity. Last time I saw it was about two years ago I think. I don't think I need to see it another three times in order to try and like something about it. The more I see the film the more I feel they shot wide off the target. Some opinions just don't change, like I till don't like coffee, or beer.
  24. No, don't make the movie. Or if you do, make it then from where the comic, book or other media then left off. The movie was obviously made to introduce the characters and an adventure stand-alone from the books and the comics for somebody who might've never read them. Meaning the movie started "from the beginning", then make it also from the beginning or just leave it. If not, then, like I said before, start it where whatever came before left off. Then it can fit nicely in as: And there wouldn't be such a problem. I can tell a good movie from a bad movie and it becoming a bad movie does not only rely on its budget. This was a bad movie, and it felt very wrong after I had watched it the first time and the two times I watched it afterwards. Somebody seems to like it, look at the amounts any of his movies gross everytime (not saying that's a good thing). And endless discussions with your very confused little brother who is showing an imense intrest in Bionicle years after its cancellatin! >.<
