  1. I spent it at a conference that my family went to. We had pizza that the hotel provided us and saw a lot of old friends. Would have turned out pretty well had the pizza not been majorly leftovered and got us all terribly sick and we threw up all New Years Day long. About 1 in 4 people at the conference got sick.

  2. Oh yes, SMG is epic. I finally got Luigi. Now I'm waiting for SMG2...

Hopefully they will add more playable characters other than ol' Weegee. One level I thought would be interesting would be to have a 3D version of Donkey Kong with 2D villains and a 8-bit Donkey Kong as the Boss. And, of course, more orchastrated (sorry for misspelling, Explorer is EPIC FAIL) versions of SM64 tunes (I have SM64 and it brings back a lot of memories hearing the "Bowser theme" in the original SMG. More of those would be great...)

  3. Well, just for the record I really understand. But not to make me sound all that old, but when I was fourteen I wasn't allowed either; parents are pretty concerned, but it's good to see their view as well. While I'm not a believer than video games can make you meaner/violent, but they can affect you in some ways just like a really violent or scary movie can.

I tried not to argue about it, obeyed them, and after awhile they became a bit looser, or at least my mom did. In another year or so things should let up, or you'll know who to ask and when to ask to get an advantage. If you push at it in little ways to show you're mature enough and such, they'll come round.

I guess I will have to wait, then...;)

Good to know it won't be for long...

  4. Well, I made a CA Comic. Unfortunately, I didn't see Blade's previous comic which explained it already. >.<

Anyhow, we sorta have it all figured out. What happens is that when I touch the Infinity Cube, then everything goes out of whack (leading to Blade's comic). Blade breaks the Vahi which contradicts the power of the Infinity Cube thus leading the Cube to create a divergent reality to save itself which has everybody warped from Mt. Matoro to Blade's studio in a alternate dimension with no memory of the things that happened on QFTMS and in the warpspace (that black place where Blade and Katoka were in his comic) except for a strange feeling that they were somewhere else.

It's a little confusing, in fact, its very confusing, but that's how it worked out so...

  5. Were I able to do so, I would, but as it is I can't do so right now. Arpy tried tampering with his FA nub banner and he met a gruesome fate.

    Do your av then. :)

Besides, I'm the OBZPC newb, but nothing bad has happened to me yet... :lookaround:

'Tis because you're not nub staff. It's in the cases of nub staff that the bossmen/bosswomen are out for blood. Just look at poor Arpy, for example. :P

    What happened to him?

What did happen to Arpy, Dlakks?

    Yo.

Also, I have a plan in regards to this. You'll have to wait and see what it is.

I read the entire thing and could not figure out what on Mata Nui was going on...

  6. I noticed in your profile that you're fourteen, so it's understandable that your parents are like that. I only started getting away with T and M games until I was sixteen. My mom is pretty cool with it all because she knows it doesn't affect me, but I still never talk about games around my dad.

Prince of Persia is amazing, if just for the graphics and art. Infamous is awesome too; but I'll have to wait to get that and others until I save up for a PS3. (and after this I've officially decided I'm saving up for one)

Meh, kind of reverse over here. My mom's the one that's skeptical about games, however, my dad was known in college as one of the biggest video game players around. He still plays stuff on my PS2 almost every day. But I'm reeeeeealy unlikely to get away with T or M games now, especially because of my siblings.

I saw screenshots and vids of Prince of Persia at the graphics blew me away. The cel-shading on there is amazing. Infamous I've actually played before and is almost equally awesome.

Same here, pretty much. The only T-rated stuff I was able to play until I was 14-15 was Star Wars stuff. The first non-Star Wars T-rated game I played was Super Smash Bros. on the Gamecube, ironically. :P It wasn't until late 15 - early 16 that I started to play CoD and similar stuff.

Now, there's one game I think you might enjoy that's available on the PC for a pretty decent price. I don't know how you are with driving games, but you might like Burnout Paradise. :)

Super Smash Bros. they actually let me play because the violence was more of a cartoonish/arcade-like violence. My dad also let me play Force Unleashed, which was epic....

I'm not that big on racing games, but I have a friend who's a car fanatic and has a whole load of car games.
