    Linkin Park's first two albums are proving to be the first two albums where I don't mind the screaming. Huh. I doubt I'll ever be into death metal or anything that heavy and growl-infested, but my musical tastes are still broadening...

      Lol @"growl-infested" and apparently considering Linkin Park heavy.

       

      Growls are not music on their own, no, but they do add a lot to the musical genres and bands they're featured in. I can see why someone who isn't used to them or without an open mind and extremely diverse musical palette would have a bit of an aversion or dislike for them, though. I was the same way for ages.

      I know Linkin Park isn't particularly heavy compared to a ton of music, but their first two albums are heavy compared to the majority of music to which I listen.
