So, I went on a big meetup with my friends yesterday. During the morning, a couple of us went shiny hunting. My friend went hunting for a shiny Mewtwo with no success, and I went hunting for a shiny Machop because it's my favourite Pokémon. <3 Suddenly, I did get a shiny! Sadly it wasn't machop, but Geodude. Nonetheless, it was only my 6th random encounter shiny, and my first in a Gen 4 or later game, so my day was still made.

I just noticed we can add "entry images". I might have to do that later so I have proof. So, yesterday I went on yet another meetup with some friends from my Pokémon family, to attend a Trading Card Game Battle Roads in Geelong. I had to travel from one end of Port Phillip Bay to the other, so I got up very early. On the way to the station I saw a possum! Even though I live in Australia, possums are nonetheless a very rare sight, especially in my area! When I got to Southern Cross station, I purchased a V/Line ticket... we were going to take a diesel train the rest of the way! I met three of my friends there a while later, and helped them purchase their tickets. On the train to Geelong, I talked to the conductor on board, and he told me about the employment process for the job, and what a conductor does. It turns out conductors, not drivers, are the ones in charge of announcements over the PA system on diesel trains. Also, the employment process is a lot lengthier than I thought. I have to apply, then take an aptitude test (this is where I'm up to), do an interview in front of four people, do ANOTHER aptitude test, and then do another interview! Even after all that, I'd go on a waiting list, and I wouldn't actually start work until next year! Registration costs $5 AUD. When we got there and went to register, I decided to pay with my debit card. However, I needed to take out at least $8 AUD to use it. To that end, I decided to look through the individual cards the venue had on sale. After finding nothing of interest, I decided instead to purchase a Next Destinies booster pack. When I opened it, one of the cards I pulled was one of the rarest in the series: a differently-coloured Zoroark! One of my friends wouldn't leave me alone for the rest of the day trying to get it off me! Apparently that card costs $25 AUD because of its rarity and power in duels! I went into the tournament not using my Eeveelutions deck, which I had scrapped, but with a s###### Durant deck. I was able to win 2 matches, beating my personal best! I came 13th in my division (a minor setback for a triskaidecaphobic :/), which was one of the best among my friends! I later got a Dark Explorers booster as a participation prize. I opened it, and... shock horror... a Groudon EX fell out! TWO RARE CARDS FROM TWO BOOSTERS! That's not gonna happen again! Even though Groudon EX is only worth $8 AUD, it was the card the same friend wanted the most, more than Zoroark! He was upset that everyone around him was pulling it except him! Naturally, he asked to trade me for it, and I agreed because I had no use for the card because I'm a battler, not a collector. In exchange, I got 2 Revives, a Crushing Hammer and $5 AUD, as well as a pledge that he'd get me an Enhanced Hammer. These are cards that I can use to improve my already surprisingly good Durant deck. A larger group of us, about 7, then went home together on another diesel train. All in all, a brilliant day! EDIT: Just looking through my old entries, I found a comment from SPIRIT saying that I had used up all the luck in my life. He was wrong.

Hi BZPers! I'm sure everyone knows Pokemon here. So I decided, months ago, to MOC as many Pokemons as possible. Way back in August, my first PokeMOC was Volcarona, now taken apart. And a few days ago, my second was Unown S.Volcarona PictureOfficial artworkPokedex Number: #637Type: Bug/FireSpecie: Sun PokemonEvolution of Larvesta.PokeMOC Number: #1UnownPictureOfficial artworkPokedex Number: #201Type: PsychicSpecie: Symbol PokemonPokeMOC Number: #2So, thoughts? More are coming, but I don't know when.

It's been revealed that Eevee is part of the main Pokédex in the coming Pokémon games! I have therefore decided to get one of the games, and do a proper Eeveelution team! At this stage idk which game I want though.

As all of you know, I am insane. However, despite being eccentric and immature my entire life, my personality as a child is nothing like it is now. Something happened around the time I reached adulthood, which started my downward spiral. When I was in Year 12, I was the most popular student at my high school. Everyone, students and staff alike, loved me, and I was happy. I also did Scouts for 12 years, finishing that same year, where I was never happy. After I graduated from high school in November 2008, my sole focus shifted entirely to Scouts. As I stated in a previous entry, my group's leader was cruel. One of the biggest bullies I had to deal with. I don't know what I did wrong, but she started trying everything in her power to keep me from getting y Queen's Scout, one of the highest awards in Scouts. She would pile on work, she would tell lies about requirements for getting the award, and she all-in-all was a total (you get it. She was a bully). She failed, and I got the award. However, her antics hardened me. I became cold-hearted, I became horribly stubborn (believing that if I could stop a tyrant like her and get my Queen's Scout, I could do anything), and my whinging worsened tenfold. I became but a shadow of my former self. When I started TAFE, I took my cold-hearted self with me, including my whinging. That whinging made me an outcast, and I was bullied by my peers because of it. Because of this, not only was I unable to recover for a whole year, but I got worse. I became colder, and my self-esteem hit rock bottom. I sincerely wanted to tell the bullies why I was how I was, that I hadn't always been like that, but they had set me on ignore irl. They ignored nearly everything I said, even when I was trying to be nice to them, and they pretty much completely pretended I didn't exist. A day when they spoke to me, even when it was abusive, was a good day. That year, the Pokemon Video Game World Championship series began, and Australia wasn't invited. Because of my new stubborn streak, I decided to challenge The Pokemon Company International about why we were, as I put it even then, banned from participating. They told me it was because it was still in its early years, and that Australia might be invited next year (making me the very first fan to find out about 2010's championships). After finally being told the latter after continuing to challenge what I was told, I finally backed down. In the end though, I had failed. Australia was not invited, and has still never been invited since. In fact, we got NOTHING for three years, until we got four local tournaments last year. After the incident, the acronym "VGC" (short for Video Game Championships) became a swearword to me. By the end of the year I had practically reached the point of no return. And then LEGO made their infamous Announcement. THAT was the straw that broke the Kikanalo's back. As a result, to this day, LEGO has been forced to feel the wrath of a victim of deep corruption. The emotional damage caused by my Scout Group leader and the TAFE bullies will never fully go away. However, if LEGO brings back Bionicle, I can finally begin to TRULY recover from my emotional scars. Even if they said it wasn't going to come back until, say, 2020, I would still begin to recover, because then I'd know when it would return, and I'd truly have something I can look forward to.

So I attended the Pokemon TCG State Championships yesterday. It turns out the format was a ladder, not an Elimination like the VGCs, so I was unable to visit my nan at all. It gets worse. I lost EVERY match I was in. My only true achievement was the fact that I was able to knock out a Mewtwo EX, the most powerful, versatile and BROKEN card available! If I compete next year, I hope to use a colourless deck. Mewtwo EX's versatility means I may end up using 4 of them too (if there's one thing I learned at that tournament, it's that you must have 4 Mewtwo EXs just to have a chance at winning). I have the next year to learn, prepare and build. But will that be enough time to become competent?

The Pokémon Trading Card Game State Championships will be coming to Victoria this Sunday, and I'll be going! The bad news is that my nan's birthday is coming on exactly the same day! Selfishly, I decided to go to the championships so the deck I built doesn't go to waste after the coming rotation. However, if I lose early enough (which I probably will, since this is a newb's deck), I will leave the venue immediately to see nan.

So, I met my Pokemon fan friends again today, and played the Trading Card Game with my deck for the first time. Every match I played today I lost, probably because I have no Pokemon EX and (at least now) only one legendary. My deck has been revised and changed a bit, but it still loses. All it needs to truly be complete now (since my friends are so generous) are a Raichu with Pain-full Punch, a Pokemon Catcher and an Espeon Prime. WILL THEY MAKE IT HERE IN TIME FOR THE TOURNAMENT???

My friend at TAFE just gave me his Pokémon card collection, and among the cards was an old-fashioned Double Colourless Energy! I always wanted one of those!

I went to Chadstone Shopping Centre today and watched Pokemon White: Victini & Zekrom in Hoyts with some friends from that no-longer-mentionable Pokemon group. The movie was OK (despite having Scraggy ), but the video and audio was out of sync! Their lips would start moving just before they started talking! At least that annoying "Let's go!" from the Hoenn-Sinoh sagas is gone. Later, I went shopping with a friend and got... STOP THE PRESS... an HF set!!!!! I also got a few Pokemon cards to add to my deck. Next week I'm heading to Good Games in Melbourne to hopefully buy another deck to add to my custom deck, and trade with people to boost my deck further. Want to trade? Seek me out at Good games Melbourne. Look for the AC/DC shirt.

For the first time in 10 years, I have started collecting Pokemon cards again! My aim is to create a water/lightning/colourless deck that I can play with competitively, maybe even at the World Championships! Suck on that, Daniel Roche! The two decks I got today were a starter deck (which, as fate would have it, was water and lightning-themed) and Call Of Legends: Retort. So far I have Eevee, Jolteon and Pikachu, but I have a long way to go. I also have a Magby, which I can use to substitute for Tryogue until I get Tyrogue, as they do much the same thing. Before you start, I have no shame in naming and shaming Daniel Roche, who stole my first collection. The criminal deserves the bad publicity.

I am on a massive losing streak on Skarmbliss' Pokemon Online server, where I can go to practice battles for Video Game Championships. I have tried all sorts of teams --- Trick Room... Rain... Goodstuff... even a troll team --- and NOTHING has worked! Even tutoring has mostly failed me, as mentioned in an earlier entry! I am at my wits' end trying to do SOMETHING right there! I seriously feel like Jessie, James and Meowth trying to capture Pikachu, because I am doing NOTHING BUT LOSING!

So, I attended another meetup in the city today, which was held at a place called Good Games. It's a venue where people play various trading card games, including Pokemon. Because I'm the world's biggest Machop fan, a friend gave me three original Machop trading cards! They have no competitive use anymore since they're so old, and were banned for being too OP for their time anyway. I also played a proper game for the first time! The end result was determined by the toss of a coin! I won, but since it took a coin to decide the winner, my opponent and I were pretty much equally matched, and the match was as good as a draw! For a while it did look like I was gonna be beat, but then a combination of Zekrom and Cleffa... YES, A 'MEASLY' CLEFFA WAS A MAJOR PLAYER... allowed me to come back lightning-fast! I'm now inspired to try competitive TCG playing on a larger scale. I'm considering making a completely colourless deck. Yes/No?

So, I decided to take another leisurely train trip, this time to the lines in the northeast of Melbourne; the Epping and Hurstbridge lines. Throughout my trip (except up and down my own line) I went on the kind of electric train that doesn't run on my line. I went to Epping first and had a look around, but was quickly met by a begger, so I gave up some of my money, which proved to be a problem later. He said he'd repay me, but I'm positive I'll never see him again. I then tried to follow the line beyond Epping, but the roads didn't do me any favours. There WAS a footpath running parallel to the line, but it was still under construction, and I felt I'd be trespassing if I tried to use it. As I returned to the station, I passed a bus that had the route number and destination of my home town in the south! I was VERY surprised to see a southeast-bound bus in the north! Next I went back down the line, and stopped off at Bell for lunch. While I was at the fast food restaurant where I had it, a group of four people about my age entered, and to my shock, I RECOGNISED one of them! He was a fellow member of Pokemon Melbourne, the friendliest Pokemon group on the Internet! After my meeting with him, I went back down to Clifton Hill, and took a train up the Hurstbridge line. It turns out not all trains go that far: some of them terminate at Eltham and come back. As I went past there, I almost figured out why: it seemed very much to be an old diesel line of old! The stations were far apart, there was only one track because of how few trains went up there, and Hurstbridge itself was very much a country town! When I arrived there I decided to buy some water and an ice cream because the next train wasn't gonna come for ages. Because of the begger I encountered in Epping, I was forced to withdraw money at an ATM and get charged for it because it wasn't of my bank. I then bought the money and awaited the next train. When it arrived, a group of students, also my age, got off and took some photos. They then returned to the same train and started playing Monopoly. On a train! Then I made my way back home. I got on the train JUST before it left. Then, while we were waiting at a station, an express train passed us! I ended up getting home later by taking an earlier train!

So, I attended another Pokemon tournament, and once again I lost in the first round. What I used was a Trick Room team a tutor helped me build, which means the strategy was not my own despite being Trick Room. I've noticed that every time I lost in the first round, it was using a strategy that wasn't mine. The same thing happened in April and July. Thus, next time (and I know there will be a next time), I will use my own strategy, with help from no-one else. I have a troll team that I use in singles on Pokemon Online, that got me to the top 20 on one server! I'm considering making a variation on that team to use at the next tournament.

Asking For Pokemon Trades Here Cuz I'm Desperate
Makuta_of_Oz posted a blog entry in blogs_blog_1719
Looking for untouched Brave Hitmontop with Mach Punch and Intimidate, untouched Adamant/Brave Dream World Murkrow (with Prankster), untouched Quiet Heatran with Eruption, and White Herb. MUST BE LEGIT, as these are for this Sunday's tournament! -
So, I took the train to the city (going down my line is getting staler every time I do it), and then met all my friends at the EBGames in Melbourne. As always, we went inside and started playing Pokemon together, and tried out some of the games they had on display at the Nintendo Experience upstairs. I was able to win every battle I participated in (which was actually quite a few), except one multi battle (where two people battle against two other people). The champion of the recent tournament in October is STILL unable to defeat me one-on-one, and I've been using the same DS team each time! This time I ended up defeating him without loss! Many people believe I could become the next champion at the coming tournament next month. If it's the same rules as it has been in the past (which tbh I doubt), then there is a good chance I will! We then went to Maccas and had lunch, chatted a bit, and then went back. EVENTUALLY the other guy who's birthday we were supposed to be celebrating showed up, at about 4pm! I should've given him an alarm clock! I then decided to go home early because I was getting tired in my old age. It had become more like just another meetup than a birthday party anyway, but at least it was good to see more new faces from the social media group. My party with my family will be tomorrow. I couldn't have it yesterday because someone else was celebrating their 60th on the same day.
-
I'm headed into the city with a group of friends I made in a social media group, where we will celebrate my 21st and a fan's 20th, so I'll be out all day! Tonight, I and a babysitter (yes, I'm getting a babysitter at 21 :/) will have to look after my brother, and he's in a bad mood atm. My parents will go out to another friend's 60th birthday party. I wasn't invited because of my 21st birthday; it'd be impolite to interrupt a 21st with another birthday. I hope to spend that time playing Pikmin!

Just recently, I finished re-training my dream team in Pokemon White. After a lot of consideration I had to take Aggron out and replace him with Volcarona, which is a better fire type than I could ask for. After training my primary team. I got to thinking about the different types and favored ones I was unable to have in my dream team. So with a little excitement I decided to make a second dream team! It was a lot of fun choosing which types and past favs I could put together in a team, and as of now I'm training them and testing how well they are in battle. They're getting some help from the veteran team too. I would like to keep the new team a secret for now. Think of it as a surprise, or a secret tactic. Don't worry. I'll wish you all Merry Christmas. After I celebrate my Bday on Friday.

This is my long-awaited (albeit very rushed) Machop Christmas special. At last I have a pic of Machop showing off its strength like a Machop is supposed to. Too bad that humongous sack was surprisingly hard to draw...

Ever since my first year of TAFE, I've become prejudiced against gamers. Many gamers I've seen, both at TAFE and on online chat, are arrogant, pompous, ignorant and rude. Since I'm not as privileged as most gamers, I therefore struggle to get along with them. I am a peasant at best in the eyes of gamers. And to think I'm doing a game development course at TAFE next year! :/

I have a very bad habit of exaggerating. When I can't do something, regardless of reason, and I don't like it, I claim that I'm completely banned from doing it. I know I'm not really banned in most cases, and contrary to popular belief I do know what the word "banned" means, but that's just what I'm like, taking things way too far out of context. That's me being me. That is why I often say Bionicle is banned, just because I can't have it and I feel I did something wrong and got punished. I once even had the nerve to use that word in a letter to Lego early last year because, naturally, I was (and obviously still am) ticked off about what they did.

Last night I finally got a one-on-one tutoring session with a talented Pokemon player on the Pokemon Online server I practice on, and now I have a brilliant team that has only lost once thus far! I even won a tournament with it! Naturally, my confidence has just used U-Turn! EDIT: I just won my second tournament in a row there! I know another tournament is coming next month, but idk if it will use the same rules as this online tournament did. If so, then I should be QUITE ready for it!

I'm trying to make and battle teams for the Pokemon Video Game World Championships (or at least an Australian tournament that may use those rules), but I'm failing SPECTACULARLY!!!!! I am currently in the bottom 50 in the server's rankings! Worse, no-one wants to tutor me, so I can't get better!
