Bzprpg - Kini-Nui

Friar Tuck

Recommended Posts

IC: Weta considered this, then decided to disagree. "Yes, many have abandoned their duties for their own ends, but what of unity? Many matoran are friendly to one another, but there is little co-operation between the villages against the Makuta or those who serve him, who seem to wander the island with near impunity." The toa considered his response, but was dissatisfied, felling that this line of discussion would get them nowhere. He amended himself a second later. "Still, which virtues are best followed is not important, only that some remain loyal, for they are the hope of the island."

OOC: Looked away at what? Oh, I know!IC: Jeni was interrupted by the appearance of an infected Muaka in the clearing, causing her to redirect her attention in that direction. Weta was waiting for her to complete the sentence, so It was several seconds before he realised what was going on, and drew his weapon.

Weta didn't like the sudden appearance either, so he reached out into the surrounding area with his magnetic power, feeing for magnetic fields. He found them large and small, there was the planets's gigantic one, small fields from his metal armour, the attraction that kept the mask on his face as well as Jeni's and... there! With a flick of his hand, cut severed the magnetism of the muaka's infected mask like a taught string. Without it, the masks dropped to the ground, freeing the tiger from their influence. Without them, it seemed a bit confused.

IC(Jeni): She sighed again. "Okay. Muaka, go on home. Eat plenty of Rahkshi, and don;t get infected again." The tiger prowled off, not knowing exactly why a toa was talking to it like a cub."So...I guess we should stick together. I don't think I've introduced myself yet. Name's Jeni. No last name." She extended her hand, Warhammer in her other.

IC: "To be honest, I doin't know. As I said, I've been living with a hermit for the last 25 years, so my knowledge of the islans isn't exactly current. People and places will have changed, so if you have any ideas, I'll have to assume you know what you're doing"OOC: You pick a wahi, I'll follow.

OOC: Yovtann from Ga-WahiIC:The stale air was stagnant, calm, and relaxed. The sunlight radiated through the entangling tree line, the chirping of far off birds and distant rahi a subtlety in the background. Yovtann traveled briskly through the jungle, the soft ground floor giving way under each heavy footstep. His breath came in steady, controlled breathes at a soothed pace.Kini-Nui. He honestly expects me to find this guy at Kini-Nui? Yovtann though to himself, batting a branch in his path for the umpteenth time. It's the most foolish spot to just hide out at, not to mention how hard it is to find the place itself!!Yovtann continued his jouney, a headfirst and blind plunge into the heart of darkness.

IC:Underground, Golem's temporary hideout,A Matoran hung from the roof of the cave, utterly terrified. For one, it was impossible to see here. Second, she was in the same generally proximity of a killer. A simple run to Kini Nui, they had said. Nothing had been spoken of a kidnapper. What was odd, was that he wasn't even armed. He was wearing what looked like a great Pakari, but he carried no blade. She would've had many questions, but she was too scared to ask.Golem, on the other hand, never had needed a blade. The Ta- and Le-Matoran had been simply dispatched, the Ta- with a little more force. He was getting payed for all of this- he didn't see why his employer wanted these exact Matoran killed, but they had been very specific. He gathered up the concentration to use his mask power, and began walking over to his captive, hand raised. It was simple to crush these little creatures' heads, and he found it rather enjoyable when their screams were ended. He placed one hand over the Gatoran's head, fingers closing in slowly...BOOM, BOOM, BOOMWhat? It was coming from the ceiling! Someone was coming! He shot out through a hole in the cave wall, off to his next hideout.

IC:The sky darkened to a grey shade, ominous clouds rolling in high overhead, virtually unnoticed and undetected. The wind had picked up as well, now a low, steady whine. It seemed far off, elusive, as if a dying animal's strength faded off as it cowered far ahead.Batting away a final mahogany tree branch, Yovtann had made it. A clearing which lead to a steep cliff, dropping down heavily into a magnificent valley. The Skakdi inched closer to the edge, cautious as if it were to bite him for nearing to close. Kini-Nui, the magnificent temple in all it's glory, was rooted in the center of the valley. Finally. Yovtann thought, making his way down to the temple.

IC:The clouds remained dim, looming overhead in an eerie fashion. The wind was still, frozen, yet still. Not a tree leaf rustled, not a Rahi squealed, nothing. The silent serenity of the scene was eerie, almost disturbing. The gave Yovtann a chill up his spine, his shoulder blades retracting as he shivered. Focus. It might just be a Toa, but I don't see how someone could fail at this task, especially someone of my rank. The Fire Skakdi ventured further into the valley, the massive temple and its huge stone edicts clearly evident. This is it, isn't it? My test. To gain my high authority, I must take Golem dead or alive. Finally, I've been waiting. I'll deliver his head right too Kuyre and Keinju, I'll prove my worth-"Help! Help!!"Yovtann's head was on an instant swivel. His muscles tightened, ready for action. His eye darted around the surroundings. An experienced eye that scanned intently. Yovtann's hand clasped on his sword, meeting in a fist. One word echoed through his brain,Golem! And with that, The Skakdi was off, running in the direction of the caves that the silence shattering scream originated from.

IC:The dim of the cave swallowed the reality of the outside world, light seeming to sap away from it. Yovtann clawed foot deepened against the dark soil, leaving an alien of an imprint embedded in the earth. A chill ran down the Skakdi's brightly colored spine, he shivering as he drew his sword on instinct. His powerful legs shook slightly freezing each mid-step before daring to strike down again, his mind riddled with ideas and eyes driven by the sheer fuel of his heightened paranoia. I can't blow this now. I can barely see two feet in front of me in here, and I'm not letting my first defeat be at the hand of som-"If you're looking for the Toa, he has gone."Yovtann nearly jumped. His blade swung out. His eyes glowed deep. Out of pure shock twin beams of heat vision shot forth from Yovtann's crimson eyes, soaring radiant and true as the hit and melted the rock wall. Temporary light accidently given, The Skakdi of Fire now realized that the cave wasn't very big. A small Matoran cowered in the corner at the far end, covered in dust from the shallow impact of his blast. Darkness preceded to refill the cave almost instantly, choking the last wisp of flame from its being. Yovtann, lowering his blade, contemplated what he saw.If I could see her, she can most likely see me. I think that should be enough to make this quick. He was most likely right seeing a massive Skakdi who nearly filled the entire entrance to the cave, armor seemingly ignited aflame with the heat vision, and carrying a bloodied blade was not something Matoran looked forward to seeing."Which way did he go?!?" Yovtann growled, deepening his voice as realistically as possible to ensure the proper effect.

IC:"Which way did he go?!?" the Skakdi thundered. He was terrifying- from the gleam of his teeth to the blood of his sword. Her lips quivered as she struggled to find a response."T-that tunnel..." her finger extended towards the primitive hole in the rock structure, as if a large mile had burrowed its way out of Kini Nui.She huddled to the corner she was in, hoping that if she had given correct information, he would let her go peacefully.

IC:Yovtann's gaze jolted from the Matoran to where she pointed. A hollow escape tunnel carved out hastily near her, covered in a complete veil of black shadows. The matoran seemed to fade away, even from the recesses of his mind, as he sprang towards the tunnel. Off he went, pounding down the dim corridor, hastily spinning out of the way of rocks and walls. I will find you Golem.OOC: Yovtann to Onu-Wahi

OOC: Gaea from Ta-Wahi.IC: Gaea: Kini-Nui:Gaea glanced at the Kini-Nui. No wonder why it was such a favoed place, it was marvelous. She walked up to the top, and saw a Matoran there. "Have you seen a Skakdi here that was searching for someone?" Gaea asked the scared matoran.

IC (Naru)"Yes... let's go. Lead the way."Naru was still a bit worried about the bulky Toa they had left behind in Po-Koro. He didn't look like the kind of guy who would accept defeat easily. Mentally, she was fully prepared to see him again soon...

IC(Zand's Armada): The group continued walking through the grasslands. It was very barren, until they reached an icy face-shaped...gatey thing. Zand jumped down from the hill they approached it from. "Well...what now? Kini-nui is just past this point."OOC: Stalling for time until the group Jeni is with gets to the Kini-nui.

IC: Gaea: Kini-Nui:"Why thank you, Matoran! Now, for your safety, I'll have you be with one of my weapons- I mean friends!" Gaea grinned maliciously as two large plants with gaping mouths were around the Matoran. Gaea walked down into the hole.OOC: Gaea to Onu-Wahi.

IC(Jeni): "Oh my. So it did. Maybe it's a Vasht-No, that's just stupid. They wouldn't be able to gather in such a large amount. So, let's take this sucker down."IC(Zand's Armada): The door was now in crumbley bits, knocked down by the Wolven Blade. "Okay. That was easy. Well, easy-ish. This sword is very heavy." He put the blade on his back, where at least his mechanical leg could carry some of the weight. He walked through the gate, the group following. "Jeni might be somewhere past this point. Keep an eye out for a Toa of Air with a golden Calix."

IC: 'This sucker' turned out to be not one but three large, hunchbacked, spiny suckers, who continued to hiss as they emerged from the cave. One had a grey spine and took the lead ahead of the other two, which were magenta and blue-green. They advanced slowly towards the toa, hissing all the while. It was clear they did not agree with being taken down. When Weta saw them, he immediately recoiled drew his weapon. The rahkshi were cold killers, and could match even toa in battle."Allright"he told them, projecting a confidence he did not feel "Come on then. See if you can stop us from collapsing your stinking tunnel!"

IC(Jeni, Zand's Armada): "Oh, I think they can. There do appear to be a good number of them. A rahkshi jumped at her. Before she could smash her warhammer at it, a sonic blast hit it backwards. "ZAND! I think I found her. And a bunch of her new friends." Lyrica got out her whip, as the rest of the Armada lined up to make a stand against the Rahkshi army, flowing out of the cavern. "Oh, hello. My name is Zand. No time for everyone to introduce themselves, let's just take these snakey thingy mabobbers down." He drew his ax, preparing for a fight-off.OOC: You know, I'm thinking of making Zand's Armada an actual group.

IC(Zand's Armada): Three more rahkshi came out, bringing the total out there to 8. Counting the two heaped rahkshi on the group, of course.Plasma streamed out of the Baron's hands, being manipulated by Jeni's control over air, hitting the heaped pile. The armor of the rahkshi melted on contact, turning it into a fused pile of metal and Kraata internal bits.OOC: Misread it as 300...oops. But that would be hilarious...Anyway, don't put hunchbacked so close to the spelled out form of three! It causes my fast-reading to read it as Three Hundred Hunchbacked Spiny Suckers. Anyway, 8 is an army in this game.Zand, Lyrica, Mirr, and the Baron, but he's already in Kuyre's army. There's also Naru, Katuko's Character. She's either staying or, I don't know, becoming an evil overlady of the universe. One of those two.

OOC: Three hundred and another three makes 8? I guess we could do that. Any preferences for the type? That invulnerability one could have been interesting, but it's already melted.IC: "Nice one!" Weta shouted to the toa of plasma. He ripped the staff from the hands of a blue and tan rahkshi with another magnetic pulse before it could start causing chaos with its illusions.
