Kale Ironshaper- Po-koro docksIC: Building was not an easy task, and not one that Kale enjoyed, despite the fact that he found himself doing it quite often. He followed Dehkaz up onto the deck and then leaned against the bulwarks, letting the sea breeze cool him down. He accepted the bag of widgets with a word of thanks and headed down below to his quarters. Slumping into the chair he opened the Tome of the Scholar and began to read.

"I serve the weak. I serve the helpless. I am their sword and their shield. If you want to strike at them, you must go through me, and I am not so easily moved."

IC: [Naona]"I have an idea," said Naona slowly as she stared at the self-proclaimed knight. "How would you like to join the Guard?"OOC: This will definitely not lead to a new recruit dying, another losing an arm and another ramming his ship into a pirate ship. Nope, no Aggressors here. DEFINITELY NOT TRYING TO MAKE A NEW VERSION OF THE AGGRESSORS....Maybe Preventers though.

:kaukau: OOC: Oh boy, I only see one way out of this...IC: (Laryn)Fresh from a few interactions with the eccentric folk of Xa-Koro, he had finally found the time to get to Po-Wahi where he wanted to visit. Well, he could hardly blame them for being eccentric - he was, too. Mata Nui had turned out to every bit as crazy as he had imagined already, both big and small at the same time. Just on his way up here, flying past the regions of forest and volcanoes, he had seen an insane assortment of things, a world filled with life and people who knew a thing or two about living it. The sheer amount of adventure in just one spot was totally shazooning his mind. And the inhabitants, the inhabitants were so diversified. He had come across islands of Skakdi and islands of Vortixx in his day, but seeing one place, like the garden of Eden, filled with everything, was outstanding, like Mata Nui was the convergent spot of the entire universe. The great expanse of the desert was now below him. Hot thermals kept his glider up, and he enjoyed the radiating warmth of the morning. It was very different from the warmth of the open ocean, which was humid and slow. This feeling was hot and sharp, quick to hit his senses, and it was very, very dry. Fortunately, he was not like his old Toa of Water companion and didn't care so much about the humidity. Perhaps this was just him being a Toa of Air, taking in so many senses and having such a world defined for him just through the air. Or perhaps it was a by-product of him never having solid ground beneath his feet and being in the air so long, the rest of the world far off and rarely being touched. Nevertheless, in spite of how much he loved to fly, it was interesting to think that he could land whenever he wanted to now and walk on foot. He could never take a break when he was flying above the ocean blue.In the distance, he could see a large rock. Using his Garai and his elemental powers, he brought up the glider to twice its height to get a better view, and from his new vantage point he could see over the rocky barrier and into the city of Po-Koro carved into the stone. It was an interesting place, truly unlike anything he had ever seen before on his small home island all those years ago. A dweling place in such a large expanse of nothingness.extraordinary people. Finally, he touched down in the middle of the village. Several guards stopped to check him, whhich he frely complied to."Four daggers, nothing too conspicuous," said Laryn, holding out his arms as they checked him over."Why did you fly over the gate?" asked the guard member."No reason. Sorry, this is my first time visiting Po-Koro, but I love the place so far. It's sizzling."They let him go, not thinking too much of a Toa of Air, although he noticed a couple were keeping an eye on him just in case. He could hardly blame them, being new in town, knowing now that he should have used the front entrance. That was an acceptable protocal, especially in a wild world like Mata Nui. Not caring what they thought of him, he threw his glider like a paper airplane and guided it using his Garai so that it landed gently on top of a stone hut. It would be pretty easy to find. Until then, he was hungry, and he hand't eaten for days."Food, I need food," muttered Laryn, looking from side to side and jotting to and fro. "Ah, there's food," he noted, finally compehending the existence of the inn nearby. He burst in, excited just to be there."Bam boom, haha!" he exclaimed once hrough the door. A few observant indidivuals turned to look at him, just in case he was signifiant. "No, never mind me," he said, shooing them with his hand gestures. "I'm just here for the - helloooooo bartender. Yes, can I have some bread. What do you mean widgets? Oh shaboogie, I completely forgot about that!" He turned around and paced, rying to figure things out. Meanwhile, people still looked at him, keeping their distance and not really commenting. It was as if they didn't have anything else more important to do if it was this easy to distract them and make time stand still around him."I have some widgits," commented a Po-Tohunga, perhaps the only person who hadn't stood still and watched Laryn out of the corner of his eye. It seemed he was more engaged in a conversation with a Ko-Tohunga and a Toa of Gravity, but part of him had still taken notice of Laryn's blunt arrival."No, please, I couldn't accept that from a stranger," said Laryn."Pardon me, I'll get back to you later," said the Tohunga to the Toa of Gravity, then he brought his full attention fo Laryn again. "I insist, I'd love to help. I owe my existence to Toa like you. Buying you a loaf of bread is the least I could do.The Ko-Tohunga had been silent until now, merely stairing at Laryn with observant, ice-blue eyes behind the visor of a Kaukau. He wa still silent, but he held his arm in front of his partner, stopping him where he stood and halting his tongue. He then slipped his backpack off of his shoulder and rummaged around in it, producing a loaf of bread for Laryn, still warm. He held it out expectantly. Laryn took the bread with caution, not knowing if there was a ritual to this transaction that required certain manners, but his uncertainty went away like the wind when the Ko-Matoran nodded."Thank you," said the Toa of Air, biting into the bread. "Where I come from, its customary to kiss the shoulder of our benefactors, if you don't mind."The Ko-Tohunga made no gesture, just stared at him. For a moment, Laryn was confused. he didn't understand this person's behavior."Sory, are you mute?" he asked."No, most Ko-Koronians are that way," said the Po-Tohunga. "He's just expressing unlimited patience with you.""I'll take that as a good thing," said Laryn, and he pecked the fellow on his snow white shoulder. Then he got up and took a very fast bite of the bread, not wanting to stop talking but too hungry to and excited to restrain himself. Even with the fluffy mass in his mouth, he managed to get out one quick sentence: "My name's Laryn, by the way."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: SythrihOnce she was sure Agate had fallen asleep, Sythrih went to go and check on Laryn, who she haddn't seen around. As the Toa of Earth walked out into the main room, the first thing she saw was a four-armed Toa of Air giving the Toa of Gravity a hug."Huh...? I'm not gonna ask."

IC: Sythrih"Hey, young lady, watch your mouth," The Toa of Earth said, not wanting the Toa of Gravity to start cursing. Walking over to the two, Sythrih pried the Toa of Air off of Laryn. "Ok, what gives?""Nevermind, don't answer that. Who are you?"

Now granted, it could be confusing from time to time, but look at me; do I sem like the person who would mind? And you know what else is cool? You're a Toa of Gravity and I have a Garai. Not gonna lie, that's like shamwow."Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: Sythrih"I haven't the slightest idea, sweetie," the Toa of Earth said, shaking her head. That or he's just crazy."

:kaukau: IC: (Laryn, Inn)"No, what I need is food," said Laryn, taking a bite of bread, this time much smaller and more managable. "As for crazy, that's all a-hooey if you think about it. What's really going on here - " he pointed to the ground " - is that people don't know how to just do anything spontaneous. Like when life is going too straight, haven't you ever just wished you could do something unplanned? IC: Agate - Inn, Po-koro -Agate had been sleeping rather peacefully as the others chatted in the main hall. No nightmares to speak of. Though for one reason or another, she began to wake up. With a yawn she sat up, and heard voices coming from outside the room, she lazily made her way toward them. She came up from behind Sythrih and gave her a ninja hug. "Hey guys." She said sleepily.

:kaukau: OOC: Challenge accepted.IC: (Laryn, Inn)"Yes, yes, you could say that there's no reason for anything," said Laryn, "But I've been trying to come here for a while. You know what my island had for me? Nothing! Notta-Totta! Just two small Wahi regions and that was it. So I heard about this Mata Nui place and I've been trying to come here ever since, because there's always been new palces to see, new problems to solve, and new lessons to learn. My island was so small, so few things to see and do. But I will tell you one thing about this island right here. Yes! This island, right here! There is more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be - "No, wait, I'm quoting someting here." Laryn fell back and his head twitched as if he had been slapped in the cheek. "No, it's not coming to me. Ah well. Right, then, so I came over here and it's so different! And I love it for that, really. I mean, there's all of you talking like a bunch of normal people all of a sudden, and here I am, the strange foreigner! And you know what I want to do?"Laryn walked over to the bartender's bar as he said this last sentence."I want to try something new! Let's see here, this menu has multiple different foots. Five of them I've eaten before and fifteen are foots that I've never seen before. Take this, for example, someting called 'Apples'. I have no idea what that is, but I have a feeling I'm missing out. Bartender, what's an apple look like?"Tom came up beside him and held out an apple that came with his pie. "Here's one!""Oh my lolligard," said Laryn, "that's perfect. Gimme. Are you seeing this, people? I've never had one of these before. It's so shiney! So green and blendy-colored! Alright, alright, this is an historic occassion. I get to eat my first, fresh, delicious, scrumptuliusitory apple..."He took a bite. Spit it out."Uggh, what is this?""An apple," said Tom."I hate apples!"Your Honor,Tyrannosaurus Kraggh Edited by Tyrannosaurus Kraggh

IC: Agate - Inn, Po-koro -Agate looked at the other Laryn incredulously. She walked over to him with a somewhat amused look on her face. "You think we're normal?" She asked, then her claws came out of the back of her hands. (Yes, just like Wolverine's, in case some of you didn't know.) She stabbed Laryn's apple, brought it to her mouth, and took a bite. "I can't believe you don't like apples!"
