Fry
This came with my original Gali set. There are two of them in set. Normally, they have ridges in them but this doesn't. Anybody know what it is? Fry
I did but I guess it didn't go through. It's a standard 1:1 centimeter axle except compleat lay smooth with no ridges 1 Quote Visit my Bionicle 2001 site recreation!

Click
That's the old 2-length pins, before Lego added the ridges to make them easier to remove. I didn't realize that they continued that long though. Fry
But I've never seen it before. It is the only two in my entire collection. You know how a 1:1 has little ridges on both the top and bottom, this one doesn't. It is completely smooth like a 1:1 3mm Quote Visit my Bionicle 2001 site recreation! I prefer the pins that have replaced them.
Click
Like this, right? Looks like Lego stopped using it in the 90's, but it does appear as alternate in Gali and Pohatu. Also, strangely enough, Lego dug out the mold to use it in X-Men vs. The Sentinel in red. I wonder why it was so important? Makuta Miras
I got two of them in Lewa, 2001. Most likely, though, they came from Gali or Pohatu, seeing as all of my Mata are second-hand.
JrMasterModelBuilder
Some of the 2001 Mata sets had these pins rather than the notched ones, but I believe they were rare. Here's a Peeron inventory for Kopaka that also makes note of them. None of my sets ever came with them. Quote Are signatures still a thing?
