Hapori Tohu
Next up in our coverage of Toy Fair 2015, based on your feedback, is the new LEGO Elves theme. In addition, we're going to cover Friends and Disney Princess too, to get all the mini-doll sets done at once. To see what LEGO is offering in these lines this year, continue on! Aanchir
Good coverage. The lava in the bakery is no accident — the reason the bakery is there in the first place is so that it can use the heat of the lava for baking. The oven is directly beneath the lava floe. Elves is definitely one of the themes I'm most excited for this year! I like that LEGO had some brick sculptures at the event to promote this theme! This lighthouse is pretty awesome, with a solid build and great colors. I don't think I've ever seen one with an ice cream shop attached though. I have! Classic set from my childhood right there! But the new one is of course much better. The LEGO Friends "Pop Star" subtheme in the summer has a lot of personality. I really love the colors of both the sets and the box art. The extending function of the tour bus is fantastic and it looks suitably flashy, although it doesn't offer much in the way of privacy. And the baby bunnies in the "Bunny and Babies" set are fantastic! I already bought that set because I couldn't resist the cuteness! As a bonus, the eyes of the baby bunnies are simple enough and the bunnies themselves are small enough that they go great even with classic minifigures. dotcom
Whoa, that Tour Bus really is fantastic. I really want to get that. My summer buying plans keep changing... The two summer Elves sets also look really nice, though I doubt I'll be able to get both...or either, really. The first wave has so much stuff that interests me as is... fishers64
Elves inspires much gawkery - the Friends sets still fail to appeal. And I was never a fan of Disney. Particularly the ship and the pegusus sleigh are the ones I want - the more static scenery is really yawn-worthy which makes the other sets kind of a bane. Like the lava-bakery and the weird-colored foilage as well anyway, but I'm not buying an entire set just for that. J46 Nui
Elves seems really interesting. I'll try and make an effort to keep up with its story, if anything. But I have a big list of buying priorities to get through before I get to those sets. The Disney theme could benefit by including more characters besides the princesses. I think if a child just wanted a princess, their parents would buy a doll. Lego has an advantage that it can have a cast of characters included in a single toy as well as vehicles and settings. I just don' think the Disney line is making good use of that advantage. Quote PSN ID: darthlegoGamertag: SPARTAN J46Steam name: jumpy46
Toa Smoke Monster
The Tour Bus set was my favorite out of all these pictured here. Though many of them looked like they came with some good pieces. I bet the Frozen set will sell really well too. Quote Everyone is one choice away from being the bad guy in another person's story. Lyichir
The Elves sets continue to impress! Aanchir and I may well end up getting every single set from that theme, at least for this first year. As for Friends, I'm pleasantly surprised. I was worried when I heard about the "Pop Star" theme for the summer sets, but in general they're pretty great—particularly the hotel (which looks fantastic and is the second set after the modular Town Hall to feature a working elevator) and the Tour Bus (which blew my mind when I first saw how it could extend, and would be a fantastic candidate for modding into an Agents or Ultra Agents vehicle). Surprisingly, the Skate Park, which had been one of the sets I was most interested in based solely on the set list, ended up being one of the most underwhelming, with few features that hadn't been seen before in other themes.
