A foxlike Rahi seen rarely in the depths of Le-Wahi. Many inhabitants of Le-Koro believe her to be a forest spirit, guarding over the peace of the woods. She was believed for many years to be a myth, with only a scarce few claiming to have seen her - but their stories were later confirmed. A portion of the forest was set ablaze years ago, and she emerged from the wood just long enough to pull some weak Matoran out of the fire before disappearing again. None have ever heard her make a sound and she is believed to be many hundreds of years old.

For those unfamiliar with her, this is my primary character who has gone through quite some transformations during my years here on BZP. Her design and scheme were in existence before this MOC, and so the MOC was built to emulate that as closely as possible. (OFFICIAL DESIGN)

Her tail will likely go through some changes in time, but I’m very happy with this first pass.

Very impressive! I love the construction of it! The tail may be a bit too much, but it doesn't look bad at all! Great design, great concept! I love it :D

Ooh, you finally finished it!  :br:  Looks amazing! I see you found a better set of eyes, and it works perfectly. I can't find any issues with this one. Astounding job!

How poseable is it, though? I imagine the tail would be pretty heavy for those legs.

I honestly wish I could post the picture of her design, but it's on a website I don't think is allowed to link here. :\

Her body build is meant to be similar to that of a greyhound/maned wolf, and her tail is meant to be significantly longer than her body. So it may look odd but it's intentional. ^^ I've always kept the fox elements of the tipped tail and tufted ears, but yes, she's meant to be more fox-like than being entirely accurate to a fox.

Her legs have all the proper points of articulation for a canid, her head rotates down a bit, her mouth opens... her tail has quite a lot of points of articulation, but certain poses look better than others because of the way I built it with "fur".

Thank you guys so much! ^^

Well, for this kind of detail, especially with the "furry" look, I can see how a few points of articulation might be limited in favor of appearance. I'm guilty of the same with my newest Self-MOC. :P

If you just post the image itself, you should be fine. If you think it's that questionable, you might just upload it to something else like Flickr, Brickshelf, Google +, or DA. But, really, most things should be fine, unless the URL itself is blocked by the word filter. :P

The image was drawn by someone else, and posted on DA (which I assumed isn't allowed because it has comments/forums), and I'm not going to rip it off and put it elsewhere.

On the other hand, I have a tattoo of her as well so I could just take and post a picture of that instead.

The rule against linking to sites with forums/comments is long gone. Linking to DA is fine.

I also want to say that I'm mesmerized by the way you've pulled off the colors. And the blue you chose for the eyes is wonderful. Overall, this is a display of precision; I feel like every piece fits well and contributes nicely to the shape. Nice work!

Thanks for letting me know. I am rather annoyed that rule changes don't get reflected in the main posts of pinned rule topics.

The original design is here.

I'm still just incredibly jealous of the pitch-perfect fox/dog prancing pose.

You definitely deserved the trophy, now let's fix the tail!

I thought this was a horse when I first saw it. It took a double take to realize that it was a fox. While I understand how difficult this may be, that tail needs better support. If memory serves, fox tails stick up. It looks as if the tail is too big for the model.

Other than that, I like the model, with the details of pieces tastefully used to give your model curves. That trophy is well deserved, but perhaps there might be something to make it look a little more foxy. :shrugs:

As previously stated, the model is built to be fox-like, and is built from a pre-existing design. Her body structure is meant to be more akin to a greyhound / maned fox, and the tail longer than the rest of her body. I understand that it isn't proper to a classic fox, but strictly speaking she isn't one.

I do hope with a future redesign to make her tail appear more lifted, although for balance's sake it will still need to touch the ground somewhere along it. Thank you for the compliment. ^^
