Chronicler06 Posted July 24, 2025 Posted July 24, 2025 From reading the guide, I knew Cherry Tree Hills and Auburn have more things to collect than any of the other districts, so I'm not surprised you were unable to fully complete Auburn in just one stream, though at least you got quite a lot done. Just need to find the race, the coffee break, and eight more character tokens (hopefully for the next stream, I won't struggle too much to figure out which character tokens you have not yet found). And I definitely remember how difficult it was to reach that conquer district location, so it's good to see you managed to eventually reach it and won't have to worry about it next time. Also, I'm pretty sure the reason you completed all of the watered flowers was because the one in Cherry Tree Hills was just across the border from Auburn, close to where you did that house super build. Once you finish with Auburn, you should then be able to complete all of the various tasks as you go through Cherry Tree Hills (except for the race on Lady Liberty Island and the police challenge in Festival Square). Chronicler06 Posted August 8, 2025 Posted August 8, 2025 (edited) Once again, struggling to figure out the last character token to unlock in a district. Like I said, the best way to know for sure would be to make a checklist of all the characters to be found in Auburn and seeing which one is not among those you've unlocked. Anyway, onto the final district, the home district of Cherry Tree Hills. You got all the police badges, all the super builds, and completed all construction challenges. With all cat rescues done, you'll just need to put out the last barbecue fire to complete all firefighter challenges. I'm sure you also got all the flowers watered last time when you wandered too far beyond Auburn, so completing that other pig rescue should allow you to complete all farmer challenges. Then there's also all of the astronaut challenges (alien capture and conquer district), miner challenges (boulder smash and silver statues destroyed), robber challenges (stolen vehicles and ATMs smashed), and police challenges (vehicle chase and gang arrest (though there's also the one in Festival Square you still haven't reached because of those giant balloons)), not to mention the final free run (as well as the final time trial race on Lady Liberty Island). My advice on where to start next time would be to go across the street from the police station towards the cafe, since that'll be where you can access some other things on some rooftops, including the free run token. Alternatively, you could go right inside the police station, since there's ten gold bricks to be found inside those rooms. EDIT: I forgot to mention, I'm planning at some point next week to check out that new content from Lego Builder's Journey and see what that's all about. As I'm sure I've mentioned before, I would recommend you go back to that game next after you finish with Lego City Undercover, since Builder's Journey was so quick to complete that I doubt the new content (and its new achievements) would take much effort. Chronicler06 Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 I knew the Cherry Tree Hills district had a lot of things to find and collect, so it does not surprise me that you didn't quite get everything by the end of this stream. At least the few things left to find are somewhat easy to keep track of, especially the character tokens (still can't figure out which one you're still missing from the Auburn district, so that checklist will definitely be helpful for next time). So, aside from fully completing the Cheery Tree Hills district, the other things left to grab are the aforementioned character token in Auburn, completing the time trial vehicle race on Lady Liberty Island, and atop those parade balloons in Festival Square is both a police challenge and a vehicle token. Also, don't forget to actually purchase everything once you've got everything unlocked to finally reach 100% completion. Here's hoping you won't encounter too much trouble for next week's stream so that you can finally finish this game. Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Here's the list I've come up with so far. There's definitely some errors I discovered while using IGN and Fandom as sources, but I wasn't able to find any more definitive lists out there. In the game, it says I'm at 298/305 characters, but there's like 19 that I wasn't able to account for on the two sources. At least it narrows it down somewhat... Quote Bio of a BZP Admin
Chronicler06 Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Seeing at this week's stream is on Friday, I'm afraid I will definitely not be able watch it as I'll be busy with something else at that time. I guess I'll take this opportunity to post a link to the guide I've been reading to help you out during the previous streams. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=898599561 When I had suggested a checklist of characters, I was thinking that you would write down the names of all character tokens listed in the Auburn section, then as you go through purchasing every character, you would check off the ones you've already got until you're eventually left with the one you don't have, and from there can just check this guide to see how to obtain that one remaining character. Also, don't forget that when you're ready to try that final race on Lady Liberty Island, that island district is accessible only by taking the ferry from Crescent Park. Make sure to reread this post right before you start streaming on Friday, because like I said, I will not be available to help you out on Friday. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted August 23, 2025 Posted August 23, 2025 (edited) Now that I got a chance to watch the recording of last night's stream, I'll start off by saying congrats on finally completing Lego City Undercover. Despite my absence this week, you managed to figure out all of the last few remaining things to collect, even things I had somehow missed. That endless stud fountain you encountered at the end of this stream officially confirms that you have indeed reached 100% completion, so that final achievement should've unlocked. I recall that some earlier achievements didn't unlock until the next time you had loaded the game, so perhaps you should try that when you have a few minutes to spare. As for why there are certain vehicles still locked despite 100% completion, my best guess is that the only way to unlocked them is to enter some special codes, so consider searching some other guides for codes to enter to obtain such "exclusive" vehicles and/or characters. As for which game to play next, I did mention that Lego Builder's Journey (which you had completed in just two streams) has some new content with new achievements to unlock. I'm sure I already mentioned it somewhere, but I recently tried that "Robot's Adventure" and it took me only one hour to complete, so I think you could get it done in a single stream. I should warn you that some achievements can be missed as you progress through the story, so I would highly recommend you keep this quick guide handy to remind you of what's next to keep an eye out for: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3497662893 After you get that quick bonus game done, the next one I would recommend for the following week is Lego Bricktales. It has 5 story levels, 4 bonus levels (I recommend avoiding them until after you complete all five story levels), and some bonus collectibles to find along the way. It's such a relatively small and quick game that I'm very sure you could go from 0% all the way to 100% in less time than you had spent finishing Lego City Undercover these last few months. Chronicler06 Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 Good to see you complete that bonus content for Builder's Journey, despite some technical issues. (I don't recall ever having that game crash on me, though perhaps that might be because unlike you, I was not streaming at all when I had played.) I know it sure felt a little strange to go through the alternate perspective of a game that both of us had last played a few years ago, so some of the references were not exactly fresh in our minds. I'm sure it would feel a little easier for newer players who can start the robot's journey right after completing the main story. Anyway, as I've said before, Bricktales is the next game I would recommend. Since I probably won't be available next Friday if that's when the next stream might be, I guess I'll share some helpful information right now. One of the first achievements you can unlock is to the use the character customizer, which is accessible in the pause menu, so you can get that done as soon as you're able to pause the game. And since I recommend not playing any of the four bonus levels until after you've completed all five of the main story levels, I'll list here how to start them so you'll know what to avoid for now... At the amusement park hub area, follow a rabbit into a hole in the ground to start the Easter bonus level. At the amusement park hub area, after someone asks you to help them out at the beach, get into the car at the front gate to start the Summer bonus level. Inside the shop in any of the five story levels, go into the open coffin in the back to start the Halloween bonus level. At the amusement park hub area, pick up the present that fell from the sky to start the Christmas bonus level. I think most of those bonus levels become available as soon you complete the first story level, but (if I remember correctly) progressing through some parts will require some of the abilities that are unlocked in later story levels, so that's why I recommend avoiding them until after you complete the five story levels. Chronicler06 Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 (edited) Okay, now that I've finally had a chance to watch the recording of the latest stream, I can say that you did pretty well to start off. First of all, I believe you might not have to worry about ever losing any saved progress in this game. "Return to Grandpa" simply returns you to the theme park hub area, where you can enter the portal to return to any of the unlocked story levels. I never attempted to leave a level before at least completing the story events, but I do know that when you enter a level, you'll appear in the exact same location where you were when you left. Alternatively, you can exit the game directly from wherever you are in the level, then when you start up the game again, you'll find yourself exactly where you were when you had quit the game. Seeing as the first level is not yet fully completed, I guess I underestimated how much time it would take for you to complete the builds (and I suppose my experience with this game being on a computer with a keyboard for my controls might've made the build system a little easier). I will at least say that it's good to see you get the three easy achievements on your own with me there to inform you of how to get them. Aside from completing each level and collecting all of each type of critter, there's also an achievement for purchasing everything from every shop, and smashing every breakable object (you're doing a good job with that one so far, so just continue to make sure you don't miss anything you can smash). Hopefully the next stream does not fall yet again on one of those rare days when I'm unable to view it live, because there's quite a bit about Bricktales that I'm sure I could help you with through the chat. EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that I've been working on a guide for the game Lego Brawls listing everything there is to unlock and how to unlock them. Last week, I finally got it completed and uploaded, so if you're interested, here's the link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3559307628 I was also planning to make a guide for Lego Bricktales, complete with full maps, but it seems someone else has already done that (at least where to find all the collectibles and smashable objects): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3295695796 Edited September 15, 2025 by Chronicler06 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted September 26, 2025 Posted September 26, 2025 Good progress this week, with the Jungle level completed and far enough into the Desert level to have unlocked the second special ability. Too bad you didn't get to meet that ghost character in the Jungle shop before completing the first park build, so that part probably confused you a little. I'll admit that it has been a while since I played this game, so I may have forgotten some things (such as where to find the whip in each of the four other levels). I do know there's a guide on Steam that consists of a series of videos showing how to complete the story events and how to obtain all of the collectibles in each of the five levels after the main story is completed, so if you ever get stuck with something, at least that could be an option to help you out. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted October 3, 2025 Posted October 3, 2025 Desert level completed (along with visiting the shop for the first time) and some progress through the Medieval level. It's been a while since I played this game, so I keep forgetting how time-consuming some of the builds can be (especially those with special challenges like maintaining balance). I can already think of a few future builds that could prove quite challenging, so hopefully you won't have too much trouble with them as you progress through the story levels. Also, remember what I mentioned in the chat about some various Bionicle fan animations I came across yesterday? I posted the links over on Discord (in the "videos" page of course), so if you were not yet aware of any of them, be sure to let me know what you think. Chronicler06 Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 Water ability unlocked (to fill containers or clear away dirt piles to reveal other things), Medieval level completed, started on City level, and unlocked the Electric ability (mostly used for those teleportation pads). Overall, good progress this week. As I mentioned in the chat, that fire escape in the City level really did used to be a build that had to be completed, but I guess one of the many updates to the game since I had completed it had removed that build, supposedly because it was a little too difficult for most players (if I remember correctly, the challenge of that particular build was to make sure the structure didn't fall apart while someone was climbing it). For me, personally, I don't recall having too much difficulty with that build (unlike with certain others later on in the final level), so it does baffle me why the game developers decided to remove that particular build challenge. Chronicler06 Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 Just about the same amount of progress as usual, completing the City level and beginning the Caribbean level, the last of the story levels (and also where some of the most challenging builds must be completed, from what I recall (you can blame that explosion-obsessed cannon guy for some of them)). Not yet unlocked that last of the five special abilities, but I'm sure you'll get it soon enough next time. Once the five story levels are completed, here's what I would recommend for finishing the rest of the game. The very first thing you should do is play through the Easter bonus level, which you can start by finding a bunny near a hole in the ground somewhere in the amusement park hub area. Once you've completed all the quests and builds in that bonus level, you will quite literally end up with an Easter egg hunt, as you will need to find and collect Easter eggs hidden throughout all of the other zones in the game. (I can share the link to a guide that'll help you out with that, if you're interested) Since you'll need to explore all those areas again to finish collecting all the critters anyway, you might as well save yourself the extra trips by just getting the Easter egg hunt started before you try going back to any of the story levels. After that, I'll leave it up to you whether to then complete the three other bonus levels or begin searching the story levels for all remaining collectibles, as the order in which you do things from that point on don't really matter all that much. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted October 24, 2025 Posted October 24, 2025 (edited) Well, I did say there were going to be some tricky builds in the Caribbean level, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that you were not quite able to complete the level this week. I do recall at least one more rather tricky build coming up, so I suppose you may end up completing the level next time, but probably not have much time left to then immediately begin the Easter bonus level I had recommended. In any case, now that you have all five special abilities unlocked, it should now be possible for you to obtain everything there is to collect. If you need a little help finding some things, just check the guide I had linked a few posts back (though now that I've looked at it again, it seems this guide is lacking how to obtain the whip in each level, so you may have to search for some other guide for that particular item). I'll just post it here again to avoid any confusion: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3295695796 Oh, and one thing I wanted to mention during the stream these last few weeks is that the 10th anniversary of the initial release of Lego Dimensions was just last month. Chronicler06 Posted October 31, 2025 Posted October 31, 2025 Alright, story fully completed and even had enough time to complete the Easter bonus level as well. If you're struggling to find any of the other Easter eggs, the guide I had linked includes a link to another guide that focuses entirely on where to find all of them (you'll have to scroll all the way down to the bonus levels to find it). So it seems your plan is to play one of the bonus levels for the next few sessions and spend any leftover time exploring the story levels for any remaining collectibles. While I would prefer doing them in chronological order (Summer, then Halloween, then Christmas), I guess it doesn't really matter how you do things from this point onward. Just be sure to remember how to start each of them (that gift near the portal starts the Christmas bonus level, the Halloween bonus level is started by entering the coffin within the shop of any of the five main levels, and the Summer bonus level... well, I don't know how exactly you would trigger access to that level, I just know that someone comes talk to you at the amusement park and then you have to get in the car parked at the main entrance, so I guess you should just walk somewhere close to the park entrance to trigger access to that level). I don't recall any particularly challenging builds, so hopefully the remaining bonus levels will also go by just as quickly as you got through the first one. Chronicler06 Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Despite some initial audio issues, this stream went well with the summer bonus level completed, though not enough time left over after that to do any exploring of the other levels (I guess that fireworks build can be really time-consuming when you essentially have to create a short animation pixel by pixel). Seeing as it was almost entirely just a bunch of builds, there's not really much else to say here, so I'll look forward to seeing you go through the next bonus level. Chronicler06 Posted November 21, 2025 Posted November 21, 2025 The Christmas bonus level went by pretty quickly, so that left some time to collect some things in one of the story levels (sure wasn't expecting sandbox mode for one of the builds would leave you completely stumped for a while). At least now you entered the last of the five story level shops you've not yet visited, so next time you'll be able to begin the Halloween bonus level. I think I might be able to watch on Friday next week. My family plans (including for my birthday) will be busy on Thursday and Saturday, but not Friday. I'll need to ask to be sure, but as far as I know at this time, Friday seems like it might work for me. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 With this week's extra long stream, the last of the bonus levels is complete and all collectibles (aside from the final chest for collecting all critters) have been retrieved from both the City world and the Caribbean world. Just need to find the remaining collectibles in the Medieval, Desert, and Jungle worlds, as well as the remaining Easter eggs (some of which are also found in the hub world) until this game is at 100% complete. Since it won't be long until this game is finished, are you planning to purchase those two new Lego games (LEGO Party and LEGO Voyagers) sometime soon? I plan to purchase both games later this month and probably will try them out sometime early next year, so it might not be long before I could be open to joining your streams as a second player for those two games. I imagine Party might work similar to Brawls (only with a lot more game options to choose from), and while Voyagers is supposedly intended to be two-player co-op I will try it out myself on my own (wouldn't be the first time I've played two-player co-op mode by myself in a Lego game) before I would express interest in taking on the role of Player 2 for your attempt at this game (assuming the second player is allowed to join remotely like we did with Brawls). I'm not really sure about either game yet. I've never been a huge fan of Mario Party, and I don't know how well a stream would work with just one person. Maybe if we could get a group with everyone talking it could be more fun/competitive. But there also (at a distant glance) doesn't seem to be any story mode or 100% completion to go after like with other games. For Voyagers it definitely depends on how strict they are about the two player aspect, so I look forward to your report! Quote Bio of a BZP Admin
Chronicler06 Posted December 12, 2025 Posted December 12, 2025 Unfortunate about the shorter stream this week, but at least you made some good progress through the Desert world, having almost everything completed. You know, I was about to tell you in the chat how to reach that last critter (use the green scanner atop the nearby wall to reveal a purple ramp), but you ended the stream before I could finish typing my response. While I'm at it, I think the way to reach the person under the bridge is through one of the nearby opened doorways. Hopefully, you'll be able to have more time available for next week so you can finish the Desert world, then go through the Medieval and Jungle worlds, then finish with the final tasks in the City and Caribbean worlds. Since the Thursday after next week happens to be Christmas Day, I wouldn't mind if you stream the day after, if only for the possibility of fully completing this game by the end of the year. Chronicler06 Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 (edited) The fact that it has taken me this long to finally post about the latest stream shows how poor my time management really was today (well, technically yesterday, now). Anyway, great to see you were able to reach 100% completion with Lego Bricktales. I did say it would go by quickly enough that going from the very start to full completion could be done in a not-too-long series of streams (albeit just slightly a few more than I had anticipated). So now comes the question of which game is next. In addition to those four remaining themes I had mentioned in the chat (Star Wars, DC, Marvel, and Middle Earth), there's also the one-off games like Dimensions, Worlds, and 2K Drive (though I have a feeling you have no desire to return to any of those three anytime soon). There's also the two Harry Potter games, particularly that 2-in-1 remastered version that came out not long ago (if you ever change your mind and decide to at least try it). My recommendation would be the Middle Earth theme, since that's the last remaining theme covered by no more than two games (The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit), but considering next year's upcoming new release, I wouldn't mind if you'd rather try finishing the first two Lego Batman games (both of them being older games and thus have fewer things to accomplish in free play mode). Whatever you decide to go with, I'll look forward to watching the next stream (and hopefully I can do a better job of planning ahead to avoid another multitasking hassle that I needlessly put myself through this week). EDIT: Oh, that reminds me. Are you considering doing any building livestreams in the near future? I could recommend a few sets, if you're interested. I've been watching these streams on my tablet for a while now, which provides some convenience that has allowed me to watch them, especially on some occasions when circumstances would otherwise have prevented me from watching on my desktop computer (such as this week, when some very poor time management choices on my part essentially left me forced to multitask while watching this latest stream). Besides, have you ever watched the recordings that were uploaded after the stream ends? I sometimes do, usually just to catch up on the opening minute that I inevitably miss due to ads. As you've probably seen, I've decided to go with LEGO Batman. I need to beat it eventually, and with the new game it seems like good timing. Plus, Batman seems like it'll be easier to wrap up someday than the daunting task of Star Wars, lol. On 12/19/2025 at 1:42 AM, Chronicler06 said: EDIT: Oh, that reminds me. Are you considering doing any building livestreams in the near future? I could recommend a few sets, if you're interested. Chronicler06 Posted December 24, 2025 Posted December 24, 2025 You certainly came in with a game plan ready to go, because once you figured out where to select the villain levels to play, I was struggling to keep up with your fast pace to let you know how to obtain some of the canisters. As I mentioned in the chat, it was fast enough that I ended up missing some details at some moments and had to check back again to be sure. Good thing the guide I'm checking happens to include images (especially with identifying what those floating bombs are supposed to look like). If you're interested, here's the link to the whole guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2191755712 Also, since this is among the oldest Lego games, the version I played on Steam did not include any achievements, so I have no experience on what needs to be done aside from 100% game completion. You'll have to look for yourself to see which achievements you might be able to unlock relatively easily under certain circumstances. Anyway, not a bad start, and I'll look forward to more, whenever works for you. Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. I was looking through the achievement list. I think I have like 15/46, so there's a lot to do. A bunch of them are doing weird little character combos that I'll just need to take the time to do at some point. 7 hours ago, kawaii kitty said: what about trying your hand at some bionicle mocing? I'm not sure how good of a stream that would make, unless I already had an idea that was pretty fully-formed and ready to go. Unfortunately I haven't had a lot of MOC inspiration lately. 1 Quote Bio of a BZP Admin
Chronicler06 Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 (edited) I just wanted to share some things ahead of the next stream. First of all, after taking some time to browse through that guide, I can now say that that you should already have every character and vehicle you need to fully complete all but one of the levels. The only level for which you will need to make purchases is "Two-Face Chase" (the ground vehicle level in part one of the hero levels), where you'll need Joker's Van and Harley Quinn's Hammer Truck, both of them for just one minikit piece each. Everything else should be obtainable with what you already have unlocked. Anyway, I decided to get myself the two new Lego games (Voyagers and Party) thanks to the sale on Steam, and while I probably won't get around to playing them for another month or two, I did read up on the game descriptions, user reviews, and even the not-yet-completed achievement guides. My main takeaway is that while the experience may not quite be identical to Lego Brawls, it should theoretically be possible for me to join you to help make it possible for you to play these games during Twitch streams, especially now that cross-platform compatibility has been introduced to both games. Lego Voyagers is a simple story progression much like Builder's Journey, only involving two players instead of just one. While I don't know how exactly it would work, the game is said to allow the second player to join either with local co-op or by joining remotely online. Like I said, cross-platform compatibility was recently introduced, so that should make it possible for me to join you to help you complete this game (especially since I will almost certainly have already completed it myself by the time you might be able to try it). Lego Party is much more open, but I can see certain goals worth pursuing for a Twitch stream. While it's designed for four players, you don't need to get four people together, and instead could play by yourself with three bots (or make that two bots if you allow me to join the fun as well, which should be possible online like with Voyagers). While some achievements might be too much of a grind (such as unlocking all characters or completing a ridiculously huge number of minigames), many of them do seem rather straightforward. While I have yet to play this game or even watch any playthrough videos, what I've been able to pick up from reading the achievement guides is that there are 60 different minigames to play across four zones (Pirates, Space, Ninjago, and Theme Park). At the very least, that sets a finite amount of unique content to go through that could be done through the course of a handful of livestreams, though that might depend on how long it takes to complete these zones and where if any good stopping points might be located. I may have to wait until I get around to actually playing this game before I can provide a more definitive answer. (Also, it should be noted that many user reviews have said that Lego Party is a better game than Mario Party, so that might be worth some attention.) Of course, the big question left is how exactly would it be possible for me to join you if we play either of those two games. I may have to get back to you on that one until after I've played these games to see it for myself. Chronicler06 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 You may have gotten the two red bricks that were your primary objective, but you did end up missing three minikits in one of the levels and thus will have to come back to it again (preferably sooner rather than later, so you might better remember what you need to do differently to not miss them). Perhaps for all future streams, I should check the guide to see which actions will end each level so that I can let you know what to avoid doing if you have not yet collected everything. All things considered, not bad progress this week, and I'll look forward to more next week. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. kawaii kitty Posted January 1 Posted January 1 1-2% of the whole game is great progress in a single session, nice job on that helicopter! 1 Quote
Chronicler06 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 With me being preoccupied with a large Lego building project (which I anticipate will be fully completed by next Wednesday, so hopefully my distraction this week won't be an issue for next week's livestream), you seemed to handle things relatively well. Got one level fully cleared, finished what was missed in one of last week's levels, and had a little spare time to get a few quick achievements. Not much else to say, so we'll see how things go next week. Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I was a little late this week, and now that I've rewatched the part that I missed, it seems you made a smart choice to backtrack a bit so I could help you collect some of those minikits once I had logged in. Overall, good progress with two more levels fully completed, including collecting two of the stud multiplier red bricks. At this rate, it won't be long before all of the villain levels will be completed. One thing I forgot to mention in the chat, I plan to play through Lego Voyagers tomorrow, so I'll be sure to let you know in next week's stream how that went. 2 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Good progress this week. All of the Part 1 villain levels are now fully complete, and apparently the same for Part 2 except for that one minikit that you have only one chance to grab and only after progressing through much of the level. In fact, now that I have some time to double check the guide, it seems that even if you didn't miss that second gate, you probably wouldn't have gotten it anyway as it seems that you would then need to immediately switch to the other character to get the three remaining gates to the left. I guess you might as well look up a video guide on where exactly you must move around to get that minikit. The only good news I can say here is that it's literally the only minikit in the entire game where you have only one shot at grabbing it while progressing through a level. Everything else is more easily obtainable (so long as you don't rush ahead too quickly in some levels). So, worst case scenario, you can always come back to it later and go after the rest of the levels instead (especially since you already got everything else in that level). Anyway, as I said in the chat, I did play LEGO Voyagers last weekend, using my Steam account. Yes, it must be played in two-player co-op mode, either online (apparently through an Epic Games account) or local with two controllers. I decided to go with local by connecting two controllers to my computer, though I had a couple minor technical issues. (The game on my computer was unable to recognize two separate gaming controllers, forcing me to use the keyboard for one of the player's controls. And the one controller I did use turned out to have faulty movement that made some certain obstacles a little more tricky than they should've been.) Of course, the real challenge was the fact that I was playing completely by myself, so of course I was switching back and forth between the two controls, and sometimes had to awkwardly use both at the same time. Certainly not a gaming method I would ever recommend, but I really wanted to complete that game and unlock every achievement, which I accomplished in a total of under six hours. (I'm sure it would've been closer to five or even four hours if I was playing with an actual second player and wasn't pausing so often to make sure I got every single achievement.) So, now that I've completed LEGO Voyagers, I will say that I absolutely recommend that you at least purchase the game (especially if it's on sale). The real challenge will be to find someone who would like to be your second player. I know I said I was willing to offer, but now that I've seen what the options are, that may not be so easy. For online co-op, either we both need to make an Epic Games account (which I'm not willing to do just for this one game) or (at least if you play it on Steam) you must select a friend to play with (and personally, I'm not willing to add anyone to my friends list if I don't know them in real life). And besides, for communications purposes, I would recommend local mode anyway. Unless if you find someone else who is willing to play this game with you, pretty much the only real opportunity I might have to join you would be if I happen to be traveling somewhere close to where you live. (I haven't really gone anywhere in a while, though I have begun to consider attending some BrickFair events or some other similar conventions. Do you mind letting me know which such annual events are relatively close to where you live? I won't make any promises, but I would like to know which options may be worth considering.) Aside from the restriction of being exclusively a two-player game, I found LEGO Voyagers to be a fun game with all kinds of interesting puzzles and additional fun activities along the way. The story is certainly interesting with an ending that I'm sure will feel quite emotional. Overall, I would absolutely recommend that you at least purchase this game, even if you have to leave it sitting around for a while until you can find an opportunity to play it properly. Chronicler06 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Good progress this week. Two more levels fully completed. Didn't quite get that missing minikit from last time, but at least you got through four of the five gates, so maybe next time you might finally get it. And in those last few minutes, good progress on some achievements as well. Looking forward to next week's stream (though I might end up a little late, depending on how things go for me). And I will say ahead of time that for the second week of February (that would be Thursday the 12th), I will definitely not be able at all to watch the livestream, so you'll be on your own for that one. By the way, did you read through what I had to say about Lego Voyagers in my previous post? What are your thoughts on that game? 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012. Chronicler06 Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Great to see everything from all of the villain levels are now fully completed, including the bonus level. Though seeing which achievements you've yet to unlock, it seems you may have to return to some of those villain levels to obtain some of them. Anyway, as I mentioned, I will not be available next week, and if you say you'll be off for the following two weeks as well, then I guess we'll see you in March to begin going through all of the hero levels of Lego Batman. A very good stopping point, I must say. 1 Quote Formerly known as Takanuva's Symbol, I rejoined BZPower on October 10, 2012.
