Lenny7092 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 (edited) Hello, people. Today is New Year’s Eve, so I want to say my hopes for the new year: 1. Prices go down. 2. Ninjago going back to its former glory completely (I mean, Jay is still amnesiac and has some of his goodness. He needs to be fixed completely). Ninjago will celebrate its 25th anniversary. 3. Bionicle to come back in the latter half of the year, at least (maybe an announcement for Bionicle’s return or a remade set like that Tahu one in 2023. What matters to me the most is G1’s and Hero Factory’s stories being finished and had shared the same universe because they look like they do. Christian Faber wanted that to happen. I think it would be a good idea to tell Lego that we want this stuff). 9-15 years of Bionicle’s absence has been to long. 4. That YouTuber named Duck Bricks and Christian Faber going back to revealing concept art and prototypes of Bionicle and Hero Factory sets. 5. For the people from Bionicle Day, find out who sang Bionicle’s “Piraka Rap” song in 2006 and why Kongu, Nuparu, and Hewkii did not have their own Toa Inika animations. 6. For the people from Bionicle Day, interview people who made the 2006 Bionicle online games and Bionicle Heroes. 7. Find all games codes from Bionicle and Hero Factory (and perhaps other “lost” media). 8. Find these two Polish AMEET Hero Factory books, “To Serve and to Protect” and “Galaxy’s Most Wanted”. 9. Maybe celebrate Nexo Knights’ 10th anniversary. I hope this stuff will happen. We will need them. Happy New Year! Edited January 7 by Lenny7092 I was missing three things. Quote I like Lego, Bionicle, and Hero Factory!

Taria Pakari Posted January 2 Posted January 2 1. Not happening, prices are more likely to go up, welcome to the real world, it sucks. 2. Don't know enough about Nijago to respond but it seems to still be doing well enough. 3. Not happening, accept reality already. 4. Didn't LEGO step in on that last time? If they say don't do it, then it wouldn't be a good idea to go against them. 5 to 8: Could happen, could not, each depends on how easy it is to dig up info on. 9. Didn't that line flop? Quote

I distinctly remember there was exactly one week in 2015 when the show first premiered that BZPower was excited and talking about it and then after that it was never discussed again. The Piraka Rap's singer is an interesting rabbit hole to go down. No clue where we would start, though. Most of Lenny's bulletpoint seem unrealistic to me, both the one about prices going down and the hopes for Bionicle and Ninjago to get revivals/conclusions/be written the way he wants them to be. Obviously, we need to recruit the guys who found "Subways of Your Mind" - Fex (the most mysterious song on the internet). But seriously, they heard a recording off a cassette tape from the 80s and managed to find and connect the band 40 years later. But that's been done before and there are still many "mysterious" songs. By contrast, all we know is Lego released "The Piraka Rap" to their website in 2006 and except for archives it disappeared when...the site was updated for the 2007 storyline? Was it still up until the Bionicle website was taken down? Anyway, I vaguely remember this coming up a few years and the best idea anyone had is to contact Advance or Lego asking if they still have records from 20 years ago of who they hired for probably one time. Which is a terrible idea because there's no reason why a company would give that kind of info to randos on the internet. The next best idea is to get the singer to come forth themselves, but if they have an NDA that Lego is still willing to enforce, it might just encourage a fake to take credit. Ok, rambling over. I'll admit this is the most interesting Bionicle project I've heard of in years but also one that seems impossible to solve. Edit: found the topic from 2020 when this was last brought up (I assume) and it includes a link to the only other time BZP members tried to solve this. Most lost media hunts are driven by the desire to either enjoy or preserve said media, but we already have the song. I know this is the same situation as "Subways of Your Mind" but in that case, you hear the song and you want to know more, but as Master Inika's comment shows, when you hear the Piraka Rap...not so much. I know Bionicle fans want to know, but I don't know what the overlap is between them and Reddit sleuths. And like I said, other than hacking into a company's records (which I do not condone attempting) or starting a campaign to get the singer to reveal himself, this could be genuinely unsolvable. Or maybe this is what gives Bionicle the internet clout it needs to become semi-popular again. That'd be the plot twist of the year and it just started. I've never participated in a real lost media hunt before, but based on what I have seen, sometimes the obscurity/poor quality of the media in question is part of the charm. For the most part, it is based on media that was actually, you know... good... but browsing the Lost Media Wiki I'm surprised by some of what garners legitimate attention there. That being said I still have no idea where one would actually start looking for info on the rap. Based on the YouTube rabbit holes I've gone down, a lot of the time it just comes down to asking the right person and getting lucky. If I had to venture a guess, the best way would be to cast a wide net and maybe reach out (briefly and politely) to networks that might have aired commercials with the music on TV, like maybe Cartoon Network. Maybe there's some sort of master file with production info on all the commercials they've aired? That's just speculation though. 2 Quote COMING SOON!
