UltimateGale
hiso the other day I recieve some bionicle masks from ebay. of them, one was what appears to be the kanohi huna copper mask of victory. However, when I went to look at it I realized it wasnt copper...This surprised me because I always thought that since they were called the "copper" masks of victory, they would actually be copper; I assumed that if they could make a solid 14 karat gold hau, or a platinum avhokii, they would make these copper... are they supposed to be copper? and If they are, then what do I have, and how rare is it? thanks
~Xemnas~
Well, UltimateGale, Copper Masks of Victory are only called that because of their copper coloration. Although they're not really copper, these masks are pretty rare. Check here for more info (warning: link takes you to archives and logs you out).Hope that helps! Bfahome
Well the thing is, the real-gold Hau and platinum Avohkii were promotional, and only one Avohkii and a few Haus were made. The Copper Masks were much more numerous, so it would've been much more costly to make them out of metal. It's like how (most) "gold" or "silver" Kanohi aren't actually made of gold or silver. Collectibles made of something other than plastic usually have names that identify the material, such as the 72 sterling silver Krana-Kal.
Darcsyde
Being normal masks aren't made out of real Protodermis, and the Gold and Silvers masks aren't really gold and silver (unfortunately), probably not. I understand your surprise though. Actual mineral pieces would be cool.
FrozenFlash
Those copper masks aren't really copper. If they were actually copper, Lego will probably be nearly broke trying to gather up the materials and making them to masks. Instead, it would make more sense if they were just painted copper. Although they weren't copper, it would be nice if they were.
~Shockwave~
i always wanted one of those...but yeah, to make them all ot of copper would be quite an expensive feat. 3DS Freind Code: 1693-0634-1082 Name: Joey I also have Mario Kart 7, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokemon Y and Kid Icarus: Uprising PM me to add me. Axilus Prime
Melt down and re-forge pennies. LOL.It might work, but that practically defines "expensive feat."

Dralcax
No, it's perfectly legal, but it's not legal to spend it again. If it wasn't legal half the tourist attractions in the US would be screwed.
CeeCee
Those masks would be expensive if it was real copper. Copper is worth a lot these days Signature Guidelines: Avatar and signature total file size may not exceed 250 KB!
