He lay in the same position he had for these past days, faceup on a bunk, connected to a spark rate monitor and several other pieces of equipment meant to keep an eye on him.They all read normal. His spark was beating, strong and healthy. His processor was operational, though mostly dormant. He just hadn't woken up. There wasn't anything physically wrong with him, either. But offline he stayed.Until now. With a quiet beeping, the processor monitor started reading increased activity. Within minutes, it had climbed into a nearly conscious level. Now he could take all the credit for a new recruit...and even if Sideways ran off, his presence would be proof enough.
