I like Bionicle a significant amount and sometimes venture out into the other realms of Lego, such as Exo-Force, Batman, Atlantis, and Star Wars. I can never keep track of most of my pieces, so I like to MOC a whole lot. I also like to read and play online games. Enough about me though. As well as a humanoid form, the gods have blessed me with an afro I have dubbed "Bob". Suffice it to say, he looks exactly like an afro.

  1. I like how it's less of a srs bsns le edgy OC Makuta, and more of a fun Rahi in fun colors. Praise and good parts will come to you for almost not using any silver, which could have been possible since all of the silver pieces do come in other colors. "Imagine a color you can't even imagine. Now do it nine more times. That is how a mantis shrimp do."
  2. >not naming the Plumbernaut Schnozzle That aside, I'm very impressed with all these original Mixels. I especially like the Squirmisites, what with their amorphous-looking bodies and no clear (from what I can tell) design influences (like Drizz being an umbrella with water dripping off of it, Schnozet being a faucet, Floosh being pipes, or all the Branch Bunch being trees).
  3. How did you align the Kanoka disks? From what I can see, they're not attached.
  4. The "official facebook page" says it's the Mask of Creation, so... y'know... for what it's worth.
  5. I said no. If you think about it, the large majority of earlier masks were suited for the character's environment or role in the society, such as: Kopaka: gotta see through them blizzards Onua: gotta move them rocks Gali: do I even need to explain? Pohatu: gotta go fast across the desert Tahu: gotta not die from lava Lewa: pretty self-explanatory And with the Turaga, having interacted with the island far longer than the Toa, as well as being in leadership positions, their mask powers make sense, despite easily lending themselves to a horrifying, dystopian Orwellian nightmare where everything we're told is a lie orchestrated by evil Turaga (except for Whenua, he has a bro-tier mask power): Whenua: leader of an underground village, best be seeing in the dark Nokama: leader of a watery village, gotta be telling those sharks not to eat Matoran (or does she?) Vakama: Big Brother Vakama is watching you Nuju: Gotta get those avalanches off of people (or restrain dissidents for punishment) Onewa: Mind Control. 'Nuff said. Matau: Can easily impersonate "missing" citizens Headcanon/fanfiction territory aside, if a Ruru wearer really needed to see through something, he could easily either get an Akaku wearer to help him, or maybe ask Vakama the mask maker to help. I don't know what you're on about. BS01 says nothing about the Akaku having any powers other than X-Ray Vision (aside from seemingly optional telescopic lens attachments). It is the Mask of X-Ray Vision for a reason. Mask of Vision is simply an alternate and very general name that implies nothing about its powers. I feel like the Mahiki wouldn't have any bearing on strength, speed, abilities, etc.Maybe not even weight or mass. Just exactly what it says on the tin: Shapeshifting. If it did affect those things, then yes, I'd agree with you about it being overpowered.
  6. Aww yee. As an daily rider of the hype train since day one, it makes me feel squishy inside to know that we keep getting closer and closer to "told ya so" territory. As to what mask this might be, I'm going to agree with Makuta Miras and Solomon Kane in that it's probably the Mask of Creation.
  7. My Alien Obliterator (Bug Obliterator? It was an orange Galaxy Squad thing.) was missing one of those pin/axle connectors. Just one. I don't care. I'm not even going to do anything about it.
  8. I find that recently I've been building things physically and then digitizing them in LDD, and even building official sets on it. Overall though, I am split between the two. LDD has the advantage of building away from home where I clearly can't bring my collection, having limitless part options, and using pieces that can't ever break (looking at you, 2009). On the other hand, building physically means that I can easily tell how fragile or top heavy or swooshable something is. Both have downsides, like LDD's annoying ball joints and slight lack of parts, and real life part limitations and breakage. I don't really mind though; in the end, I'm still building with Lego.
  9. Alright, here we go. Current collection: 2001: All Toa Mata Another set of Toa Mata, built into the Kaita All Turaga Most of a Kane-Ra Part of a Nui-Rama Part of a Manas 2002: All Bohrok All Bohrok Va All Toa Nuva Two incomplete Boxors 2003: All Rahkshi At least two Bohrok-Kal Makuta Takanuva Gukko (unfortunately no Jaller) 2004: Toa Nokama Rorzakh Dume & Nivawk 2005: All Toa Hordika Sidorak Roodaka Keetongu Toa Norik Toa Iruini Nothing from 2006 2007: Kalmah Gadunka 2008: Bitil Most of Rockoh T3 Jetrax T6 Axalara T9 2009: Most of the beast from Baranus Nothing from 2010 A bunch of parts and collectibles And almost all of this was purchased over the course of spring break this year. And now for my previous collection, most of which was lost in a 2008 purge: 2001: Gali 2002: All Toa Nuva 2003: Tahnok-Kal Gahlok-Kal All Rahkshi 2004: Toa Nokama Toa Whenua Rorzakh Keerakh Krekka 2005: Nokama Hordika Vohtarak Suukorak Keelerak Boggarak Sidorak Toa Iruini Rahaga Norik Visorak Battle Ram 2006: All Toa Inika Hakann Reidak Balta Dalu 2007: Hewkii Mahri Maxilos and Spinax Hydraxon 2008: Pohatu Phantoka Krika Tahu Mistika Tanma 2009: Gresh Skrall Malum Vorox Raanu Vastus
  10. I'm interested in all three of the Hero Factory mechs.
  11. I really only have two gripes. The elbows have a rather sharp angle to them. The minifigs have awkward proportions altogether, and look just fine in some poses despite that, but I find the elbow angle rather bothersome and weird-looking in respect to posing them with weapons, particularly guns. No Nex or Stringer. Neither of these guys have been in a single set since Breakout. If there was ever a year where we could see every hero represented, it's this year. But no. Counting summer, we get four Evos with a whopping three different machines all to himself; three Furnos, Rockas, and Stormers; and two Breezes, Surges, and Bulks IIRC. Come on.
  12. 200 bucks and still no knee joints for Treebeard. Lego, I am disappoint.
  13. Now, this is probably just me being a Conspiracy Keanu, but, what if the sockets from 2008-2010 were intentionally poor quality so as to make the newer Hero Factory sockets seem even better than they actually are? Discuss.
  14. I accidentally posted this topic in the Bionicle-based Creation forum and I meant to put it in the Lego-based Creation forum. Who would I contact to have it moved?
