3.5/5 I was pleasantly surprised by this. I liked the piano intro, and the guitar was also pretty good. Pretty much everything was above average except for the lyrics, I could barely make them out...

i got a house feel at first cuz of that build in the beginning, then synthpop, then it was real jazzy, then it reminded me of that funkadelic song that's in good burger, then straight up disco grossness, and then it repeated itself

Breathy and girly-sounding. Somehow, though, it was short, sweet, and pleasant to listen to. 3.5/5 maybe. 4 seems to be stretching it.

 

 

In the movie, they sing the same verse again, as opposed to moving to one of the other dozen or so in the book.

Hm no, it's a lament about the situation in Northern Ireland back when the song was made, about riots and tensions between Catholics and Protestants.

It's not really my thing, personally. Kinda hate giving the number critiques because they don't say much, but for my personal taste it falls more around 3/5 -- it feels too samey throughout, sound-wise, and doesn't have a lot of energy.
