I've begun to think I should write The Beginning of the End in a style similar to One Piece; that is, while the story is overall serious, it's not afraid to point out or emphasis just how bizarre some of the characters, situations, locations, and weapons/objects are (when appropriate, of course).

It will not undergo anymore rewrites, since I am happy with the general direction of the story and development of the characters. Today I posted Chapter 29, which I consider to be the climax of An Unlikely Alliance. Because I do not want to spoil much, this summary shall be slightly shorter and more vague than it usually is.
In this chapter, the epic finale to An Unlikely Alliance finally reaches its conclusion. Will Makuta Hajax destroy Toa Jokao and Oggak? Do the two badly injured Toa stand a chance against the Makuta or is all hope for the universe lost?

In this chapter, while the battle between the heroes of Shika Nui and the Tuikas rages above, the Tuikas named Zoil searches the mines for Makuta Hajax and Toa Oggak. Toa Jokao attempts to follow him, but is discovered and forced to follow Zoil through an alternate route. Who will reach Oggak first: Zoil or Jokao?
Three more chapters left, not counting the epilogue. The finale of the Shika Trilogy is almost here. I can almost taste it because

The third draft of Dimension Hoppers has been going smoothly enough. I'm going to have to go back and change some plot points, though, considering how the story is turning out. My later ideas always seem to be better than my earlier ideas IMO.

I've thought we've needed a topic like that for a while, since the discussion of gender stereotyping in BIONICLE almost always dominates every topic it is brought up in, which has made it difficult for me to read those topics for other reasons. In this chapter, the Toa Shika, Jokao, and Kigin set out from Koro Nui to find and rescue Oggak. Meanwhile, Hajax finally finds the Tuikas and attempts to make a deal with them when suddenly the previously mentioned heroes arrive. The final battle - not only for Shika Nui, but for the universe as well - is about to begin, and only one side can emerge triumphant.
