7th - A Bug's Life, 1998 iBrow Percentage: 89 I told you all that I'd be explaining my motives behind ranking A Bug's Life as one of my favourite Pixar films visually. You see, A Bug's Life is stuck in the time between Toy Story, where Pixar was still sort of figuring things out, and Finding Nemo, where every Pixar film became a visual masterpiece. While this doesn't aid Toy Story 2 or Monsters, Inc. so much, I love A Bug's Life so much more because of it. The film has such a unique... e
8th - Up, 2009 iBrow Percentage: 88 So, where to begin? I suppose with the visuals. Honestly, I think I would consider Up to be Pixar's best looking film to date. Toy Story 3 is good, Brave is exceptional, and Cars 2 isn't to be mentioned, but none of them can match Up. There are only two Pixar films that come within a finger's breath of Up - A Bug's Life (I'll get to that later) and Finding Nemo, but Up still beats them both. The animation in this film looks so realistic and cartoony at
I worked on a bit of a logo for an upcoming comedy yesterday, and would like your opinions on them. There are two possible titles, and two different logos for each colour (at the moment, all that is different between the logos are the colors). Version I Version II Version III Version IV
If you are having them and willing to aid me in creating a logo, could you comment here/pm me if you want to help? Mostly I just need you to crop something and turn it mostly transparent, two things I am horrendous at. And by horrendous, I mean I can't crop Bionicle or Hero Factory because I am just terrible that way.
So I have no idea what has been up and down and all around in the blogs but frankly I don't think I wish to know anyway say goodbye to pointless entry now
Is there anyone who owns Portal 2 that would like to try some co-op with a total noob who hasn't played the game before or do you think I'll be too godawful to attempt it
Downloading it now. I've never played the original Half-Life, so hopefully this'll be worth it. I hear you only need a Source Engine game to run it? Or am I gonna be "forced" to go buy Half-Life 2?
I just downloaded the 30 day trial last night, to see if I like it more than Photoshop Elements (sort of guaranteed already, considering you can open layer sets). Question is: will I want to upgrade to CS6 permanently once the month is up?
9th - Cars, 2006 iBrow Percentage: 86 A rookie racecar by the name of Lightning McQueen place in the first ever three-way tie for the Piston Cup. After becoming lost on the way to the final race, he discovers the abandoned Route 66, and the forgotten cars that live there. Cars is... something else, compared to everything else from Pixar (barring Cars 2 of course). It's written off by many as Pixar's second-worst film, though to me I don't understand why. I feel that Cars does what i
10th - Toy Story, 1995 iBrow Percentage: 85 Do I really need to do a synopsis for this movie? I don't think I need to. If you're paying attention to this entry at all (and trust me, you are all paying attention now), I shouldn't have to explain what Toy Story is. So I won't. Just know that it's a classic, and if you haven't seen it that is a crime to humanity. This is, I have no doubt, the most controversial placement on this list. Wall-E wasn't as controversial. The reaction to my
11th - Ratatouille, 2007 iBrow Percentage: 83 A rat by the name of Remy has always dreamed of becoming a chef, and when he discovers upon arrival in Paris that his idol is dead, he forms an unusual alliance with a human by the name of Linguini to set the bar and stun the customers, despite the human populace's hatred of rats. Ratatouille... I don't quite know, to be honest. The concept just isn't one that interests me all that much, and as such, I have a hard time enjoying the film
This needs to be the cover of at least a special edition; it's my favourite poster of the film. Partly the contradictory nature of the title and the picture, but also just because the picture is wicked awesome. Rank 11 coming tomorrow night for the Pixar list, I promise. I have no scheduled interruptions then.
There you have it folks. I'm double checking right now to make sure the game can be run in Games & Trivia; if so, expect the launch later today. If not... expect launch sometime this week once I've made the necessary adjustments.
12th - Wall-E, 2008 iBrow Percentage: 81 A lone robotic unit by the title of "Wall-E" remains on Earth, cleaning up the garbage one small cube at a time 700 years after humanity left Earth forever- until a mysterious spaceship arrives with a high-tech unit titled "EVE", and Wall-E discovers what love truly is. Now this is going to come as a surprise to many (perhaps all) of you; instead of ranking the oft-mentioned Cars as 12th in the list, I have ranked Wall-E there, a film that ma
13th - Cars 2, 2011 iBrow Percentage: 68 Lightning McQueen takes part in a worldwide race across several countries, while Mater finds himself accidentally entangled within a web of super spies and super villains. I don't think this is going to come as a surprise to anyone, because to put it in simple words: Cars 2 lacks the magic touch. Every other Pixar film (yes, even the first Cars film) has a magical feeling the pervades throughout, a sense that the filmmakers truly cared about
Our next box art of the day is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, the game that rebooted the Castlevania franchise for a modern audience. Having never played it nor done any research (I'm so bad at this), I don't know who it is on the cover, but I do know that he looks pretty sick. His red cape contrasts very nicely with the mostly blue tone of the rest of the box, and the castle behind nicely foreshadows what will occur in the game. Again, if you have any requests feel free to put them in the comm
As per request, the fifth box art of the day is none other than the upcoming Rayman Legends for Wii U. Personally one of my most anticipated games of the year, my most looked forward to Wii U launch/near launch title, and the sequel to the stellar Rayman Origins from last year, Rayman Legends will be a must-have. This box art actually goes well with the Wii U's odd blue and yellow template, which I think might turn into a bit of a rarity in the coming years. It's also very beautiful when comp
You dreamt so much chaos while visiting this blog that you got the 1000th comment. Everybody take a bow, say congrats, and then continue on your boring everyday lives where this was the most exciting thing ever. lol. Maybe if I feel like it I'll make you a banner. And actually, while I'm at it I should finally make that blog approval...
Tomorrow I begin my Pixar List, in which I will release a list of the 13 currently released Pixar films in order from my least favourite (#13) to my favourite (#2). One film will be chosen each day, starting with #13 tomorrow. Feel free to place you bets. B)
