A Very Merry Christmas, Part 2

Now that I have described the books, I have little left to describe. We watched Walt Disney's Christmas Day Parade, ate lots of unhealthy food, and TOV and I drooled over our new PS2 Games. He got Lego Star Wars II, I got Bionicle Heroes. Unfortunately, our system is not working properly and the only PS repair shop in our area is backed up for weeks. There be warfare when the PS2 returns, says I.   12/26: I read Inferno and a started reading Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception. My parents went out

A Very Merry Christmas, Part 1

I had a whole weekend of celebrating, so I'll summarize.   12/23: Christmas party at my Mom's side of the family. This small branch of kin (2 each of Aunts and Uncles, several cousins -including Nancy and Tater Tot- and a few others) met at an Aunt and Uncle's house. I spent most of my time with the hosts' daughter, who is also the only one that is not yet a legal adult. Then there was a gift exchange. I mostly received clothes -my least favorite gifts, as I'm never sure if they will fit- but I

Mom's Descovery (and) Does Anyone Have Ear Plugs?

A few days ago, Mom found an Anna's Linens advertisement that featured Bionicle bed sheets! I was excited, because I thought that I'd never get to sleep with the Toa Metru in the USA. But I'm not going to get it, imagine how some random teenage girls would react.   Just now, I've been helping Mom on a CD of fun Christmas Music. Mom would sit in the dining room and say, "Go track 8" and I would walk to the blaring speakers in the next room and change the track. My ears hurt, so there went any

Running On Adrenaline

Rainbow We had a party with the Demolay at an Eastern Star lady's house. We walked to the highly decorated homes on Throughbred Lane, and it is only on the pavement when you realize, this is a carnival! It's crowded enough, and home owners sell hot chocolate and churros on the sidewalk. When we return to the hostess' house, we ate cookies and watched "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer" on TV.   Early the next morning, we volunteered at Rising Stars: a horse riding program for disabled children

Tip For Life #1 And "macbeth"

Tip For Life #1: Always pack your backback the night before you go to school. I didn't heed this suggestion, and I forgot to do high-priority items this morning.   As I turned in completed work, I learned that I now have two projects for Macbeth: "Read aloud to your teacher some of the pasages in the play which seem most significant to you. "Design three costumes appropriate for either the hero or heroine of this video. Indicate the scenes in which the costumes would be worn." What they mean by

Upland Christmas Parade; Christmas At Disneyland

Background Music: Music from "Mask of Light," recorded by SPIRIT.   I woke up at 8 am. After a rushed morning, where I finally made the CD and were later that my Mother Advisor would have liked, we arrived at our float: a highly decorated pickup truck and rented trailer. Then, I was disappointed. The three sisters -half of our group- suddenly decided not to come, after raising our hopes. With them gone, and another girl at ROTC, that left me, one girl, her brother, and several adults.   Despit

Start A Bolg, Lose A Journal (or) Pointsettias

Background music: "Christmas Moods" (CD, 1998)   My specialist's office called and told me that I do not have an infection. I'm not sick, this is part of a life long medical issue. I was going to note it in my journal, but it has vanished! I'm not worried, it'll turn up eventually.   Anyway, the Christmas season is arriving! Here, it isn't heralded by 90% off sales at the mall or the fact that Thanksgiving is over.   The Pointsettias are here.   Every year, the Boy Scout Troop that my Dad

Welcome To My Humble Blog!

Hello, I am Gali Nuva Girl. I would like to welcome everyone who reads this blog. Here I will chronicle my crazy life. I have been writing in journals since second grade, and I will continue writing on paper for those topics that may not be appropiate for the forums. Right now, it's late at night, but later I will write a novel about recent adventures!   ~ Gali Nuva Girl
