I sent in my entry for the contest today!
The entry was everything I had in mind when I started, but with gel pens as a last minute color decision. I'm especially proud of how Pridak's face came out; murderous, really. Takadox frustrated me, becase his head is so hollow. I now know how a space probe engineer feels when his creation is sent on its mission.
I bagged candy with the Jobies, for a local park's upcoming event. We finished quickly, but we were also so busy
Today I went to band! It's the second year for my school to have one, and many of the original 15 and even some new ones came today. One of the new trumpet players lives in Upland, so maybe I'll tell her about Rainbow (or not -much of this Home School population is Jahovan Witness)
Because we are starting late, we won't be able to do condert or chorus like last year. So this year we are having fun.
Between Band and completing a Civics test, I did not have time to scan my entry. I did show
Hurrah #1: Contest Entry!
I finished my comic cover contest entry! I will scan it at school tomarrow before I send it to Lego.
Hurrah #2: Dept 56!
As our collection increased, we have set up a separate alotment of our income for Dept. 56. This means that the collection will NOT impair my ability to attend the Comic-Con.
Hurrah #3: Scholarship!
I have an interview this week for a scholarship! Everyone wish me luck!
Hurrah #4: Band!
Band will start Tomarrow!
Hurrah!
What? No standing Ovation for the Rainbow Girls?
Demolay Installation #1: Foothill Chapter
Foothill is the finest Chapter in IED (the Inland Empire District), with 16 members and 16 adults. Two of Sunshine's members are the full-time Sweetheart and Princess.
As always, they had to add chairs to seat all the attendees. But I was really excited 'cause Northman from Victorville came, and I haven't seen him since the Shrine Dance. I sat next to him. I'm not sure how quite to describe the ne

The Convention & GNG as a "SUNsational Singer"
Grand Assembly is a convention for Rainbow Girls. In four days, you will meet other members, participate in contests (talent, arts, sewing, and Ritual -all for wich you sign up beforehand), and have a whole lot of fun at the same time. If you want to take on more of a responsibility, you can sign up for Grand Page, Grand Observer Helper, or Grand Chior. Grand Officers are appointed, and are known for their mascots. F

BZP:
GNG:  Oh, I forgot where I was... I'll be right back.
*GNG returns, wearing jeans and a Bionicle Heroes shirt*
Much better! Anyway I just got back from Grand Assembly for California Rainbow, and there is a lot to tell about this event, so...
A Tropical Heaven in 2007
Part 1: The Week Before
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, went to two Rainbow Meetings
I went to a slumber party with several other Bethels last night, at a local Masonic Lodge. We mostly danced and played hide and seek. The former included several playings of "I write Sins not Tragedies" (which would be my backgound music, but my parents are watching TV). The latter became mundane during the third round, because the other girls were so clever for hiding places.
At one point, I showed another Jobie my still unfinished contest entry, and I was surprised by her reaction:

Background Music: Creeping in My Soul
I've been meaning to write this for a while: I may not be going to the San Diego Comic-Con this year. It started after 2006 Christmas, when my parents bought candy lights and glitter-covered faux greenery.
Then we had to get a gingerbread house, leading to the other four reasons why I may not go:

3/17 (Sat): St. Patrick's Day? This event was entirely ignored. Dad was gone all day, helping his Troop organize their stuff in the afternoon, and then attending an expensive Scout dinner because a seat opened. Mom and I went shopping, and we came home with a pair of green and blue shoes. That was all the green I wore all day. I also got my graduation announcement pictures, which I will publish with my art after we get a new scanner.
3/18 (Sun): We went to Disneyland, for the first time since
Our internet-connected computer is experiencing technical difficulties, and we may have to crash it next week. I will not be as active on BZP.
HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!
Mom told me today that we will be buying a new scanner in a few weeks! The Gallery will be opening between mid April and the beginning of July. Until then, enjoy my one published art piece, and read the list of what will be viewable when the gallery opens.
On other news, I was accepted into the The Band/Choir/Guard Supremacy on the Non-Bionicle-Site (NBS).
Background Music: "Creeping in my Soul"
I struggled to get my homework, so I didn't complete much. As a Senior, I felt terrible for that.
But then Mom got home... and the comic was in the mail! But on a meeting night again... Why must I suffer?
Just Kidding. I got to read it because I got ready before Mom was. I loved how the Story page became a two page spread featuring all 6 Barraki! Then of course the page featuring the art. The due date is May, so I have enough time to make an e

We had to go to Big Bear in the Mountains to return Archery equipment. The trip took the whole day, as follows:

11 ~ "Mom, we've been on the road for a half hour, and those mountains don't look any closer" -TOV
As we traveled up the mountains, we saw perfectly white patches of snow. For a suburban girl who lives WAY below the snow line, it's the most amazing sight. We also drove past a lake, also
I am SO exhausted.
Today was the tour of the Arts programs at Citrus College. It was awesome. First, we went into the performing arts auditorium to watch some performances and get orientation. Then, we went to the workshop each of us signed up for. I signed up for the woodwind one, featuring flute, claranet, saxophone, and bassoon. Then we had lunch (tortilla chips with toppings, not enough cheese for nachos) and went back to the auditorium for more performances and a giveaway.
Then I had
I have too much energy.
This is mostly because I'm not Worthy Advisor anymore. Even before I became that station, I was always busy doing something other than homework. I planned three Installations, fundraisers, learned about half of the Rainbow Ritual... So I needed more energy. But now I'm not WA anymore and it's technically too early to be planning anything for my Honored Queen term, so what's a girl to do?
The good news is, when the scanner gets fixed (or if the neighbors let me use t
Between homework, I've been creating plans for when I'm Honored Queen. My term includes Grand Bethel -the state convention. Out of all the events in Job's Daughters, this is the largest and most expensive, because the Bethel has to pay for hotel, transportation, and for at least one out of four day's worth of meals. Another expense (and a tradition) are the look-alikes that each Bethel wears on Friday.
Today, I was working on the look-alikes for Grand Bethel for during my term. My current ide
I know I haven't been online recently. Everything has been piling up, including Rainbow and Jobies and getting used to another website that I joined, which has a forum. It is completely different from BZPower, though not a replacement. I have been also been on my toes to finish my homework so I can graduate.
The worst blow was when I got sick this week. As I write, I know I'm only able to function because of all the medications I am taking. I really don't want to be sick, because I got sick i
This was a homework assignment. Enjoy!
“I am Speed. One Winner, forty-two losers. I eat losers for breakfast.” With this in mind, excited rookie racecar Lightning McQueen races for the prestigious Piston Cup. The media actively discusses him and two other contestants, The King –a racing champion of his time- and his rival Chick Hicks, for the King is about to retire. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both Hicks and McQueen: Not only will one of them win the Cup, but also that car c
The Playstation is back in action! I have played the the first three levels of BH.
The game has thrown storyline out the window; but the older a fan you are, the more it's like a high school reunion. If you're a younger fan, you have an excellent chance to be introduced to the characters from the past. That's one of my favorite aspects of the game.
The other is the humor. I wrote something about that it my paper journal, so I'll quote that... when I find it.

I went to Helen G MaCallum Assembly (#207 in Riverside) for their Installation. The theme was Winter Wonderland. I can't say much else, I forgot to get nicknames from the girls there.
Speaking of forgetting, I have forgotten to approve people's comments. They are now approved!
Life has been quite boring recently, mostly doing homework. Another weird dream of no importance.
I also have a Tracfone.
That's all the non-Bionicle stuff, for the biological chronicle will get it
Right now, my family and I are watching Sci-Fi channel's TV movie Grendel. It is based on the first part of Beowulf, yet the writers made so many changes to the original story that I am bored with it. The Beowulf on the screen is not quite the Beowulf I read in my English book.
But the best part was the music -created by Nathan Furst!
Well, it's late; I need to go to bed.
