zomn zomn zomn!!! So it turns out there was an error with the computer I initially ordered; None of the ones ordered came in, so I think it was a listing that didn't have an actual computer. But there was one virtually the same that I originally wanted, so I got it in store today. *Finally* Since my desk is almost done, I'm going to wait for that until I set it up. At any rate, I'm going to call it Alaraph, the traditional name of Beta Virginis from the constellation Virgo. Current Project
Good morning again! Today I feel all right, and I have different things going on for hobbies and whatnot. Gaming I started leveling a paladin in WoW, my plan is to make it a tank so I can help people out. So far, I'm doing well, though I havn't tanked endgame content yet. Anyway, I did most of the Northern Barrens quests. Since the Barrens got split in two, the northern half is the one closest to the original, and I'm happy with what they changed. The original one was more boring and the regio
Good morning! so not much has happened today, but my Dad continued work on the desk this morning. So, what is my desk like? Well, it is one of the largest I've seen. It's basicaly a box with drawers attached to it and an open side. It used to have that wood-imitation laminate stuff, but as the furniture in my room is white, it is being painted to match. Once the main structure is painted, we'll be able to at least get that set up in my room, so when my computer finally arrives we have a place fo
Wow, I get to blog again this month, as we celebrate the return of BZPower's forum? Finally, I get the chance to update, but most importantly move forward. Things That Happened Since This Blog Went Out The End of 2007 Well, things happened that weren't happy in any way. Some of it I had written about here, but I deleted most of it - I have enough about it in my paper journals. Anyway, it ended a whole chapter of my life. In the new chapter, my family became smaller in ways other than dea
The three huge words, "Political Science Essay" Are FINALLY crossed of my to-do list!
Our Kitchen also showed doneness: Plumbings done! More later.
Expect three completed entries soon: Bionicle: Comments about comic 11 Job's Daughters: the Upcoming Installation, where I'm becoming Honored Queen Rainbow: Initiation and PIES!
As I write, we are ordering the invitations and program paper for the Installation. My mom and I had a long discussion on the two that I liked the most: one was fancier, more expensive, and the programs were on backorder; the other was less elaborate, all in stock, but it wasn't compatible with an inkjet printer. We ordered the latter, and we "hired" my cousin's printer.

The Rodeo had its usual highlights -parachuters, The Rodeo Queen, handling customers, etc. We made about 300 to 400
I remember when it happened a few years ago; it was much closer to where I live. Fortunately, the fire department had the weather on their side. It's quite ironic: we have had cool weather for a while.
What an emotional week my mom and I had -personal stuff. D:
Yesterday, the plumber came and installed our new dishwasher, new pipes under the sink, new garbage disposal, and installed the small water line for the refrigerator. The good news is that everything works; the bad news is that we got a leak in the wall, and this was after dad cleaned up the area under the sink. :annoyed2:
On other news, I have almost everything I need for my pirate costume!
Original costume, from party stor

Because I'm entering so late, I will use this entry for discussion.
Welcome to October, in Gali Nuva Girl Style! Rather than write a long introduction, I'll get straight to the topics.
Ride 'em, Cowgirl!
The San Dimas Rodeo
Our first attraction is the San Dimas's Western Days and Rodeo. During the first weekend, this town celebrates its past, while my Bethel hosts a knick-knack booth as our fundraiser.

Everyone Party!

The Shrine Halloween Dance
Meanwhile, we have many chances to party this month: Califor
I had to do dozens of labs today -they are due on tuesday, and I waited because I wanted to start reading chapter 3. My Lesson: Don't wait. Just do.
Also, I realized that I have a lot more work to do for my Political Science report than I anticipated: I thought it was going to be more like a history report, but when I explained what I was going to do, my mom was surprised and my brother (who took three english classes before he wrote a major report) was just shocked: "What are you doing?!" Fo
Update 1: I found my mp3! I had merely forgotten where I last put it. Now I can focus on finding that jacket.
Update 2: I got my molding for the retainers on Monday -more icky paste, but this one didn't stick to my teeth like hard candy. I also got to choose the color of the plastic. (Transparent purple.)
The LA County Fair
Every September, the fairplex near my high school is packed with rides, shops, and many locals and tourists. The Fair also has other permanent parts to it:

I can't believe it! I lose track of my brown hoodie, and then I realize today that my mp3 is not where it is supposed to be!
This is what tends to happen when I get busy: stuff goes everywhere, and when my world stops spinning, I could spend days (or even weeks!) trying to find my stuff. It is very frustrating, because I try so hard to not forget things: For example, I'd always check the back of my chair and the floor before I'd leave the computer lab, because that is where I always put my
We got a fourth petition for Rainbow yesterday!
Introducing House Hijinks I'll use it as we fix the house, move, etc.
Also, I'm now going start posting a few articles about my area. Here is the first:
EDIT: We can create gallery albums now?
My Assembly has two new members, plus another person about to join!
Now that I have the announcement out of the way, I can elaborate on the actual event.
What is an Initiation?
In Rainbow, the ceremony is used to describe what Rainbow values as an organization. It's theatrical storytelling, and the journey to find the Pot of Gold is its crux. Each color represents an important lesson (From Red to Violet: Love, Religion, Nature, Immortality, Fidelity, Patriotism, and Service), and the Pot
Though we didn't immediately party, we went to Bobby McGee's for dinner. I needed the pure sillines: a foil hat and a song.
Then, yesterday was Rainbow's Spaghetti Dinner, which I will describe later.
Finally, "it" happened: someone is angry at herself, and she's going to take it out on me. The good news? Everyone else still loves me.
Under any other circumstance, I would have excitedly described my family's day trip to the L.A. County Fair by now, along with my birthday plans. I'd explain that my birthday means so many things, like the beginning of the great holidays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas... Yet not this year. With the anniversary of September Eleventh, and the Bionicle story depicting Mata Nui's Death and subsequent tragedies, September 2007 is indeed grim.
But I think it's also for another reason: I ha
Today was slow, but all right... I did have some lego waffles today, complete w/ Bionicle packaging. I must be weird, because I took a picture of it. (I deleted this picture) Also, our long-dead dishwasher is out of the kitchen, and we will get a sparkly new one this weekend. In the meantime, Dad has been rerouting the pipes -until now, they went on top of a cabinet shelf instead of under it.
I've been reading often from my textbooks, but I've been writing a lot, too. Yes, honest-to-god wor
A note: From now on, "school" refers to my high school, and "college" refers to college.
This was the most interesting first-day-of-school that I've had in recent memory.
Class #1: Computer Class
We all arrived early or on time, and wouldn't you know it, the professor slipped on the time and was five minutes late! He described the online rescources for his class, the syllabus, and helped us sign up for an account for using the college computer. We finished early, as is tradition at this c
Labor Day: the hottest weekend in southern California. But enough about the heat, I'm happy to bring good news!
Mom and I went out shopping today, and we found a corner desk for our living room -we found the unit at a kid's furniture store, of all places, as we don't have much room. I'm considering getting one for myself, because I have a small room.
We also found purple fabric for a dress I've wanted to make. (By now, we also found some store-bought possibilities, if we can't find someone
I'm so happy! I posted some art! I did the Toa Inika as a group. you can visit the Topic to read my comments and add your own.
I also went on Brickshelf and uploaded some pictures that I scanned at high school. I'll post it in a few days, as I just posted the Inika one.
Finally (and I promise this will be my last edit to this entry!) I am going to create a haloween theme for my blog.
This school computer is driving me nuts! But besides that, I got my college ID today.
I also have an announcement for later today (namely, when I get home): stay tuned!
*still wants to kick computer*
