Set sizes have been going down while prices have been hiking. It started with the Matoran. They were nearly the height and nearly the cost of the Toa Mata, but they only had 14 pieces! (Okay, Radiak had 16, but you get the point.) Then we had a fully-priced ($14.99) demi-titan that was merely a Makuta packaged with a Matoran, however cool he was. Morgan Biddinger brought the pseudo-chibi—or “hard empire”—style out of the BZP underground and sent it rocketing into the mainstream of Bionicle art. He also created countless kits, won a BBC in a landslide and influenced an entire generation of Bionicle artists—all in the span of only three years.

Lady Kopaka is one of the newer artists to hit the Bionicle spotlight, emerging at the tail-end of the Third Wave of Bionicle Art (post-RZ) before the latest set-style revival hit the BZP Creative Outlet. When Lady K emerged from the primordial ooze with her romantic yet humorous artwork, Rahi Zaku had been banned, the Razor sprite fad was in its final death throes and the Organic movement was in full power. Yet it did not take long for the Lady to attract the attention of Art Forum browsers.
I just remembered it's the RZ-man's birthday, and in his memory and based on an idea from a friend of mine who used to be on BZP, I shall be hosting the Bionicle Artist of the Month Award! I need your help in deciding who wins this glorious prize.

Toa of Art, better known as ToA, is one of the most influential, iconic and incredible artists ever to call themself a BZPower Member. I was walking through a TJ Maxx on the 5th of September—the 5th of September, mind you—and what did I see? Halloween merchandise! Don’t get me wrong. I actually think it’s a good way to hype people up. People will be anticipating Halloween just to get out of this merchandising maelstrom.
