I finished the first chapter of my book!
2,000 words down, 48,000 to go....
(in other news, my Comedies are temporarily on Hitaus until November's over.)
With any luck, I will succeed at this this year... I'm going to get plenty of time off school for vacations and stuff, so I hopefully won't procrastinate on this like I do my homework.
Hang on... I've got that math work that due by third period.... Nah, it can wait! (Jk)
and chocolate milk in cereal tastes... interesting.
So we had our second Drama play last night. "Pumpkin Stuffers." I was a zombie, and a show host. one right after the other. So I had to dash offstage, change clothes, and be ready to go before the curtain rose again. It wasn't easy.
On the other hand, my brother Kapurkar was Frankenstein. We were trying to figure out how to get the bolt on. Then we realized that the football pads we were using to make his shoulders bigger (that guy is skinny) would hide his neck. So we didn't worry about it.
Strength, Courage, and a Guy named Bob.
Seriously, the special features on the How to Train Your Dragon bonus disk are awesome. The Viking Winter Olympics are hilarious.
Oh, and I get to go to a Tenth Avenue North concert tonight! I won't get back untill 1 in the morning, but that's what you get when you live in the middle of nowhere...
So Lego is asking us for our ideas for new Lego themes, right? before you know it, the topic is swamped with ideas.
How many of them are original? and age appropriate?
I've looked through all eight pages (at this time) in the topic, and I see several ideas repeated over and over: Half-Life 2. Halo. Transformers. Nintendo. Some of which are not age-appropriate.
Are we really thinking about new ideas? or are we just suggesting what video games, movies, and TV Shows we'd like to see made
My brother, contrary to what he says, can come up with the best one-liners. Take last week in Choir for example; our Music teacher had just run him through one of his parts (He's the only tenor in the choir) And when she finished...
Teacher: I thought you were my star pupil!
After a minute...
Kapurkar: I thought I was a tenor.
He was refering to the fact that she had played the bass note instead of the tenor. But the rest of us heard him just being confused. And we LAUGHED.
I'm going to try to make it.
See, I have a missions trip that I take during spring break. and Brickfest happens to be at the tail end of my spring break. So the trips might overlap. (I can't remember the exact dates of the mission trip.)
I thought about going to World Youth Day, but I figured that for the prices the plane tickets are likely to cost, I'm better off going to Nazerene Youth Conference. AND Young Life Camp.
Add school trips into the mix, and I have a lot of trips planned
No, I'm not talking about New York City.
I'm talking about the Nazerene Youth Conference, in Kentucky, next summer. It's only held once every four years, and it's a week-long convention with games, service projects, concerts, and hanging out with other teenagers. I'm trying to decide if I should go. It sounds like so much fun, and it's a chance to meet new people and help others. However, I was really hoping to visit my friends in Alaska next summer, and NYC is a LOT of money. (For us, it's
1. Go to Wal-Mart
2. Get a wig (Preferably in a bright color, such as Neon Blue or Shocking Pink)
3. Wear it to school the next day. (it is IMPERATIVE that you don't tell any of your friends you're doing this)
To be quite honest, this is the best six bucks I ever spent. my 'scientific reason' was that I wanted to see
1. If people noticed the hair first
2. If people noticed the braces first
3. If people didn't even notice the braces until I took the wig off the next day.
Actually, a
...Hurt only when you are several hours from the orthodontist and have had them in for several hours.
Yeah, I got them today. I have to have them in for two years. FUN.
But at least I got to go to Red Robin (which has the best French Onion soup in the world!) Even when they offered to give me a kids menu....
Do I really look that young? I'm turning 17 in just over a month!
It must be the braces...
I finally had enough funds ($25 bonus at work. WHOOHOO!) to re-activate my premier membership. Even though it took a while (somehow it didn't go through, but B6 helped me get it figured out. Thanks!)
So now I'm premier for a year.
Yay!
Speaking of work... I better go get ready...
Are complete pain. especially when there are 16 of them. I've gotten two done. I also have chores, two comedy chapters to write, and siblings to keep out of my room.
It's going to be a LOOOONNNNGGG day.
A good friend of mine died today,
and all I could do was cry.
my head accepts what my heart denies,
of what happen then, today.
the bad news spreads, the tears flow down,
and prayers reach the skies.
a much loved friend, child, brother and son,
a light for all to see.
the wait was long, unending, unsure,
yet hope endured, forever strong.
but our God’s great will is above our own,
and he took our friend to a heavenly home.
and we are left, to mourn and greive,
and yet rejoic
our biggest fundraiser. pays for camp, materials for meetings, and pizza. (one of our leaders holds a bible study every thursday during lunch. and we have pizza.)
so that's tonight. it will be fun. and speaking of, I need to go get ready.
and I still don't know why I'm still premier... I thought it had expired by now...
Looking back, I see my life, written on the screen, preserved in time, for all to see....
I see joy, pain, happiness, sadness, surprise, anger, and a host of other emotions that are indescribable to all...
One entry still makes me cry when I read it. Others make me laugh. Some remind me of all the wonderful times I've had.
I wonder how time can go by so fast. how an entry written only two years ago can seem like it was made an eternity away...
I wonder, above all, how we can be so n
I hate them.
Now, I see the point of them, getting kids to think about their role as a U.S. citizen and such, but do we have to write them EVERY SINGLE YEAR? COMPULSORY?
I'm just sick of doing them every year. and it's part of my english grade, so I HAVE to do it. blech.
I won second this year. I have to go read my essay tonight... and mom "volunteered" me to sing the national anthem. Joy.
I was hoping I could just read it and get of there...
On another note, my Premier Me
I know I signed up for the Newsletter AGES ago, but I never seem to get all of the E-mails. Should I re-register? I only seem to get one every two months...
And I really want to to the beta testing.
EDIT: I just looked at the archives, and I realized that they do only come out every few months. So the only one I seem to be missing is the latest one.
I think I'll enter. I've never MoCed much, but this is a chance to start again. My only problem is deciding what to build...
on another note, I seem to be smarter than I thought. Not only did I do really well on the Semester Finals (as far as I can tell) But I seem to be catching the attention of a lot of colleges. I've already recived emails from eight different colleges, all of them wanting me to go to their college. It's kind of weird... And none of them are in California. where my reccome
I think it's a little overpriced...
Humungosaurus: 14 pieces, $15.
Jet Ray: 16 pieces, $15.
I realize the others are in the 20-24 range, but they're still $15.
BIONICLE, on the other hand...
Sure they're pieces are from 19-21, but they only cost about half as much as the Ben 10 line, $8.
And people will still buy Ben 10 because it's popular. Thankfully, it will probably die out within two years when all the fuss ends and the kids grow up. or the series ends.
-Saw AVATAR again. Had to sit in the front, because the theater was packed, and I usually sit in the back. It was still awsome.
-Read part of Fire, a new book by the author of Graceling. Mom's got it right now, so I can't finish it.
-Forgot about a teen radio meeting. I don't think I'm EVER going to get to attend a full meeting.
-Sick today. Stayed home. played Wii Fit Plus. 1. I felt better. 2. I need to work out more anyway. 3. I had it to myself!
-Got the Bar Code Tatoo, becaus
First off, Congrats to Nuyaka cloud fire, and everyone else who recieved promotions yesterday. I'm sure you'll do a fine job.
Second, Happy Birthday to Turakii #1 Lavasurfer, who is now officialy an adult, at 18. Many Happy returns!
Well, I'm sure there's more celebrations to be had! I'm OFF!
OH, Ok, and Happy Birthday to my little brother, Kapurkar. (who's taller than I am) I'm sure he'll get what he deserves.
