New developments from everyone's favourite little monarchy off the coast of Bosnia.
During the summer, my home town organizes Summer Playground activities, which means parents can drop off their kids, who are then gathered in age groups (my group consisted of 7-8-year-olds this week). In the morning, games are played in that group, but in the afternoon they get to pick from a bunch of different activities. I'm not going to list all the different things we youth animators do to entertain the k
I didn't open my mailbox for a week, and now I've got 140 reports... I'd hate to think what Globals and Admins get were they to do that...
Of course, I must thank everyone who took the short time it takes to report something. We really appreciate the effort.
And to the perpetrators, here's a little acronym for you: RTFR. Read The Freaking Rules. Really. >_< I like to think of myself as a patient man, but only today I've taken PE twice, whereas I usually only have to do it once in
Man, I love this show. I'll probably be picking up some of the original manga as well.
This show has it all: pirates, humour, a large array of impossible attacks, a motley crew, villains with annoying laughs, good story tempo, swordsmanship, beautiful women and a cute little Chibi reindeer.
Of course, the US dubbed version from Toonami is nothing like the original. Scenes or even entire episodes are cut, guns are edited to look less realistic, all tobacco-related items are erased or substi
Just woke up an hour ago (6 PM) after having gone to bed at 10 AM.
And not because of night shifts. Just went to a party in a nearby town and got back rather late.
Left home at around 8 PM, stopped by a friend's house on the way to drop off some of his DVDs and my copy of the Origin comic. Watched a Simpsons episode at his place, then went down to our favourite pub for a drink, met up with someone else who we persuaded to accompany us to the party, so we could drive there instead of biking
Support the Revolution today, and vote for Ninjo: Millennia Samurai in Poll H. You too can help put 'quality' in 'equality of the MOCing classes'.
And yes, this is shameless propaganda. Now go vote, and remember:
I'm at episode 22 now, Phantom. As I mentioned before, this is one of the few series I've watched in the English dubbed version. I tried to switch to the Japanese subbed version, but apparently I've already identified certain voices with the characters.
As a series, I like the slow rhythm of the show, lots of room for character development, lots of mystery and suspense, and a realistic search for the truth. Add some intricate rivalries and hidden layers... Man, that makes for a good show. I'm
You can now go vote for your favourite entry in the BBC Contest #37 Voting Forum.
Man, I survived posting the polls again. A few image codes needed fixing, I suddenly found out I'd made a few double entries in the polls (which I luckily found out before they were posted), there were PM's and board messages, spaghetti dinners and server lags... But it all worked out well.
And now for some coffee... :wakeup2:
I have some catching up to do, so I'll be doing just that for the first few new entries.
Right now, it's all Ninjopalooza, of course. The polls will go up later today (after the deadline, of course).
Most of the polls have been created, just need to add the latest entries. No need to ask me who is in which poll with who, because I don't remember - after a while, all you see is code, and as most entries are called Ninjo, there's no discerning whose it is just by looking at the image URL.

That's right - this BioLog entry is dedicated to Omi, whom I now grant the title of 'The Most Awesome', previously held by me. Sure, it's -50 Ego for me, but it's worth it.
Omi gets a bronze plaque to put in his BZP residence, ultimate bragging rights (which he's been using forever anyway, but now it's official), and a handshake.
Oh, and if you haven't rated Omi's blog yet, make sure he gets a 5 star rating. Because he's awesome.
Man, I love the Kaiser Chiefs' album Employment. But what I love more is the fact that I've got my own employment now, too.
That's right. I'll be working for a translating bureau starting August 28. And why is that so great? First of all, employment is hard to come by in Belgium. It's not uncommon to spend six months to two years (or even more) searching for a job. Yet here I am, three days after my graduation and a contract to look forward to.
Not only that, but I also get a bonus from the
Yes, the dreaded 'enemy' of Lego.
I recently bought a small Dragon 'set', the Vile Wind Sprinter. Whoa, whoa! Hold the tar and feathers!
The thing is, the Dragons line is very different from their more Lego-like creations (minifigs and studded bricks). More rubber than plastic, hardly any room for making your own creations. An arm's an arm, wings are wings. Sure, you can switch them with those parts of another dragon of that size, but it's still a lot more limited than what one can do wit
Well, it is, but that's not what the title refers to. It's a lyric from a song by Belgian band Zita Swoon (lead singer used to sing for dEUS, who I mentioned in a previous entry).
The song is Banana Queen, and the video's one of my all-time favourites, with funky CGI robots. So what if this is my second BioLog entry for today? Enjoy the clip and get down with your bad self! B)
Also, I've added a custom content block with some pics lower on the page. It won't be updated often, as I'm not ve
Man, the longer we're around, the quicker these milestones follow each other up. We keep growing more and more rapidly. With our most members online being in the nine hundreds, it's not hard to believe that we're indeed the hot spot for Bionicle discussion. A few weeks from now, and we'll have been around for five years. I'm glad I've been able to be part of this site for a bit over four of those years.
When I joined, BZP was close to celebrating its first anniversary, and the 2,000th member
Remember how I talked about how much fun it would be if moderating was done through an RPG interface? Well, the idea stuck, so I dabled around with my tablet and PS a bit.
Looks like I love to end my BioLog entry titles with exclamation marks. But if any of them deserve one, it's this one.
I just got back from Antwerp, to know whether I had managed to graduate or not, and as you can guess by now, the answer was yes. I've finally managed to get a degree! And on the same day I've gotten stars for my BioLog!
Of course, there is extra cause for celebration, as explained in one of my early entries.
I've now got my Bachelor degree, though I'm not sure whic
That is, if this were an RPG, that's what us staffies would yell before entering the forums.
It really is much like an RPG... People trying desperately to raise their post count or 'experience points', 'healing' dying topics, undead mages reviving topics, little orcs spamming, and the 'hero janitors' cleaving spam.
Ah, if only... Unfortunately, there's nothing heroic about it. Instead of cleaving, it's cleaning we do. I just did a 'spam run' through Comedies, and it took me half an hour j

Lyrics above by dEUS, a Belgian band. I've been listening to their album In a bar, under the sea a lot these days. Fits my mood and today's weather (rain storms all day, huzzah!).
Yesterday's show was great, the Socks ended with the Ramones' Blitzkrieg Pop as the second (!) and final encore. Moshed around a bit on that one. All revved up and ready to go.
Maybe I'll put up some pics if Fred's shots
Well, live... I'm doing okay for going to sleep at 3 AM for a few days in a row. It's my vacation biorythm.
Going to a local show (well, local... It's 15 clicks from here). The first two bands I don't know, so I checked out their sites. By Nature sounded a bit too mellow for me, though Tripoli has a kind of groovy rock thing going on. The voice of the female lead vocalist probably has a lot to do with that. At midnight the Norwegian Socks will be playing as the main act. They're a cover band,
Now, I went to a last-year college BBQ yesterday evening. The food was good, but I missed a bit of atmosphere.
Anyhow, that's just the setting. Afterwards, we went for a few drinks in Antwerp, spent a few hours in one pub with a few of the more fun people in my year.
As it happened, one of my friends told us there was a new pub opening near the market square, with a small party to celebrate the event. He knew one of the DJs, so he wanted to drop by there. Me and two of the girls joined him. Up
Some of you may have been wondering whether I would enter the current art contest (or perhaps hoping I wouldn't). As a matter of fact, I've had the general concept and composition in my head for a while, and even though I realize the composition has its downsides, I feel this is something I couldn't help but create. Not everyone may like the final version, but I will.
The deadline is the 17th. Cutting it close, as I've only done one third of the sketching work (if time allows for it, even one
No, not the musical genre.
You know how hard it is to study when there's a lot of noise? Well, the neighbours one side are having a family bbq, as are the ones on the other side. The latter ones also have a huge swimming pool and lots of children, so you can imagine the noise. How the heck am I supposed to concentrate on the darn German conjunctives, their use and forms? Gah! >_<
And that's my BioLog for today. Now leave me alone, and don't make any noise.
Just thought I'd put you guys up to date with how my Finals are and have been going.
I'm just about halfway through. Well, actually, I'm well over halfway if I count the translating exams for Germand and English I had before the official Finals period.
French business correspondence: went rather well, both the written and oral part. Although the latter was a phone conversation which had nothing to do with actual business terminology... I don't think people will ever be calling me at the offi
That's right. 4.
4 years on this site, and hasn't it been a blast. Just for nostalgic reasons, I went and checked out old topics in Artwork from back when I didn't even have the 1-year Vahi. Saw some old names now unknown to most, and some old names of members who are still around.
I even found one of my topics about ficticious BZPower staff bands. Modsmack, Administration, AgainST... I'd forgotten all about how I worked together with Deadalus on those, how we made up (bad) lyrics for the so
What a title. But what the heck is this going to be about?
Well, I just want to give you guys a bit of insight into my own personal real life situation. No, I'm not going to give you my address and a list of my RL friends.
I'd like to talk about my current situation, and you'll see where that title came from. It's not as bad as it might sound, though, and if it comes off as if I'm still struggling with any of the below, rest assured that I don't.
You see, I'm still living at home. A r
Come in, come in. Entry be granted, but wipe yer mucky boots b'fore stepping into me quarters.
As this is my first entry, I'll just start by saying that I've never been much of a blogger. I used to update my DeviantArt blog from time to time (say, every six months or so), so it's not a new thing. However, this is the first time I'll be blogging for the BZPower community, and that's a first. It's different because I generally express myself solely through posts and PMs on internet communities.
