DON'T LISTEN TO THE CAKE BLADE IT'S TRYING TO DECEIVE YOU-

Anyway, happy birthday and all. I hope you get that Tarakava. I actually managed to get an unopened Tarakava set for my last birthday off a certain Lego site that I'm pretty sure can't be named here for only forty-something dollars. However, I wouldn't recommend said site, seeing as I also wasted fifty dollars on a "complete" Exo-Toa set, waited about a month for it to arrive when it was supposed to take a week, and received a plastic bag containing only about two-thirds of the pieces and only one of the instruction booklets. :P

I got the Tarakava. And it was...

...weird. In many ways. For one, the instruction books don't contain instructions for the teal one's head, since it scarfs up most of its pages on the Tarakava-Nui. I had to figure out how to build the head myself.

It was, however, awesome. It also kind of ends full circle, since the first set I ever got was Onua and this last set had a Pakari. (This is also good because I didn't have a blue Pakari.)

I recently endured rebuilding, to an extend, my teal Tarakava. Somehow, my instructions managed to survive in perfect condition all these years, so it's all good. And there are instructions for the head, so your booklet is a lie.

Not a lie. (you probably don't even know where that joke originated) Like Philbert said, it was just a mistake.

Well, it was a somewhat decent birthday. My issue of Nintendo Power arrived, and Jay Leno was doing Headlines. (too bad the snow blocked up my satellite dish and ruined it for me, so I'm going to check them out online)

Happy (belated) Birthday.

Well, I never got Tarakava, so I wouldn't know about the head. I do know, however, that most of the time, when I tried to rebuild sets after MOCing, parts would mysteriously disappear...

Also, Philbert, which of the instruction booklets for the Exo-Toa was included? Because, if I recall correctly, one instruction was for the regular Exo-Toa while the other was the raptor-thing.

Correct. I do, however, know the "cake is a lie" gag is from a movie of sorts, but I didn't hear which one.

Mistakes can be really epic, though. I have two gray four-piece axle pieces from my V-Wing set back in X-mas 05.

I think it's actually from a video game known as "Portal" or something to that extent.

I found out on a video from... somewhere... Yeah.
