  1. IC: (Liacada) Feeling fresh and rested and overall butterflyesque, Liacada finally joined the rest of the squad, greeting Agni and Merror with a wave. With a smirk she realized the team had three considerably powerful Toa of fire. Even if they didn't catch Echelon, he was going to burn. "Two saints and a sinner," she observed, grinning, "I'm liking this setup already."
  2. IC: (Daylaria) "This is true," she affirmed, continuing to show off her Valkyr teeth, "I have a polyspiritual condition; that is to say, my soul is triumvrate, with myself as the dominate factor." She made eyes at the soldier's cigarette. "Say... might I have a smoke?"
  3. IC: (J'Con) "Of course not. I will lay down on the bed I've placed in this cove. This way I won't accidentally injure myself," he stated plainly. Little did Syvra know, should he kill J'Con, the Toa would simply possess the other body he had in stasis. Laying in the aforementioned bed, he activated his mask and his spirit kicked off, taking flight at blinding speed.
  4. IC: (Eiyu Rano) Arriving late, the Chisai Ryuu's second Eiyu member stepped boldly to the docks, walking with a pride that overshadowed her shame. Carrying a simple travel pack, she moved in long strides, ignoring the cold stares and judgmental mutterings of the others. Rather, she walked into the ship with the rest of the crew, an apology prepared should she see the captain. Settling on a bunk, she dropped her pack on the ground and sat down, keeping much to herself as a tinge of self-consciousness hurt her former confidence. Luckily, it seemed as though another matter had taken the attention of the captain. She elected to stay put and remain unnoticed.
  5. IC: (J'Con) "Not really. Many people underestimate the flight speed of an Iden-user. We can theoretically travel the entire island in minutes. I'll be back in no time, with all the information we need!" the Toa said joyfully, "this will solidify our places in Echelon's group."
  6. They're based on profit, but for the most part they have their own ideas and agendas.
  7. Lately I've been concieving an idea about a group of six Vortixx whose main goal is to form a militaristic team of sorts, for a variety of purposes. Is that a good idea or a dud? PM me if you're interested. And no, this isn't like the last Vortixx group I formed.
  8. IC: (Viera) "Not much pride in you, is there?" Spat one of the Daedra. "At least keep some dignity for yourself, for godsakes; this whole 'more expendable than thou' schtick you've got going on is just becoming embarrassing. For all of us." Viera didn't respond. She merely remained silent, basking in a desire to understand the nonsensical words thrown her way, but coming up short. "If I am to be killed, so be it. But I would much rather have my throat slit than listen to an argument over my usefulness."
  9. IC: (Komisk Runion) The Ussalryman quickly recognized his futility in firing bolts at the Rahkshi, and tossed it aside- he couldn't have it weighing him down. With that motion he began moving forward, channeling his inner Kane-Ra as he charged the Rahkshi of Anger. The monster was distracted by multiple attackers, focusing on the other beings attacking. Just as it lifted its leg to kick Day, he was there with his Saperka, lifting his high over his head and hacking down on the beast's knee. The Rahkshi was tough, but with the force of Komisk's strike combined with the weight of the weapon, it would likely have a crippled knee. If this worked, he would follow this up with a direct strike to the faceplate, where (hopefully) he could break his way into the Kraata's chamber.
  10. IC: (Viera) "I can well explain my usefulness myself, thank you very much," she retorted, with just the slightest touch of indignance. "I am, simply put, dispensable. While the actual members of this team are rather important to its well-being, I can be shoved, tossed, pulled, and dropped into any situation you might find dangerous, because once I'm dead you'll have lost nothing. If you kill me here, however, you'll have one less underling willing to do anything you ask- and ready to make myself gone once my usefulness has expired."
  11. IC: (Daylaria) "Indeed it is," she replied, a smile coming to her face. The outstanding emotion behind her tones was relief- she had taken control of this body, after all, and Almanacia was locked away where she could not easily return. Her evil twin had been, for the time being, defeated, and that made every other problem a simplicity. "What brings you to my humble abode?"
  12. IC: (Viera) To her credit, the Toa of gravity stood her ground. Her voice in response was neither bold nor weak; she spoke flatly, each syllable a melancholy, melodious stream directed towards Wrath's cold abyss. "Do not count me as a ninth, for I could hardly stand as one of your numbers- see me rather as Anthyn's lesser half. My presence her is unremarkable at best, for I go where she does." Despite these claims, she seemed to slink further back, as if attempting to make herself yet more unseen.
  13. Hey all, I'm back from camp. Has the expedition begun yet?
  14. IC: (Daylaria) Once again, the Valkyr's eyes were shut, but this time, no tears stained them. She gradually lifted her optics to look at the Ussalryman who entered, lifting her fingers in what could be considered a wave of greeting. "Hello."
  15. IC: (Viera) An eighth figure stumbled behind Anthyn, unremarkable and (preferrably) unnoticed. She stood in the shadows, hoping to be as unimposing as possible- one would be quite wary to intrude on a group such as this. The feeling she got when she saw the eyes on these abominations was ineffable. When Anthyn had spoke to her of these people, Viera had believed she would almost fit in. She believed a group of dark, hateful sinners would be just her crowd. But now, when she her their voices and saw their faces, she realized they were far beyond her. She wished she could sinj further into the ground, her usefulness rapidly decreasing now that Anthyn had a coalition of what she likely saw as assistants.
  16. IC: (J'Con) The Toa settled in on a rather comfortable-looking cot, arms at his sides. "Shall we?"
  17. Erryone go and read it. It's a short jam sesh, and it's worth your time yoyoyo
  18. IC: (Ryiu) I think I had one of those hay fevers at the time- the kind of thing you usually catch during treks through Le-Koroan jungle. As a forest dweller, it wasn't often I naturally caught an illness like this, not even factoring in Akrainid immunities. Alcohol, though mostly ineffective on said immunities, still helped me through this kind of thing. And so I sat, downing more and more drinks. Wearing my usual immaculate white suit, I was the best dressed lizard in the whole bar, but one thing kept running through my mind: I wanted to run away. I wanted to join the crew of a ship.
  19. IC: (Almanacia) Inside her head, everything froze. She fell from the chains, suddenly free. Tarnok disappeared, replaced by what she originally thought to be a mirror image. Then she realized that the ethereal being was not herself, but Daylaria- the real Daylaria. She nearly reached for her sword before remembering it wasn't there. The Valkyr stood, the same and yet so different from the Toa. A whirlpool of emotions swirled through her mind, leaving her in silence. "Hello Almanacia," said the being, in reality Daylaria's soul personified. Her voice was calm, soothing- an alternative to Almanacia's tortured tones. "Why are you here?" she gasped, exasperated. "You have led us on a path of destruction. Allow me to take control, for now." The Valkyr gritted her teeth. She knew exactly what this meant- the change in dominion would be very serious internally. Almanacia would be put aside, Daylaria taking her place until it was decided that the Valkyr persona was needed. "...no," she said firmly, her soul dominating the mental plane, "I will not allow it. Not now." Her power of will was stronger than the Toa's- Daylaria was forced back by her sheer power. The personification of her soul fell to its knees, as if powerless. For a second, it almost seemed as though Daylaria's essence was defeated; this was not so. Another voice, much older than the others, took her side. Suddenly, a Turaga flashed into existence. "This will be so." said the power of two voices, forcing Almanacia into the shadows. ---------------------------------------------------------- The rattling of chains awoke her from her trance. Daylaria's head throbbed, her soul becoming accustomed to the new body. She knew instantly that no explanation of the event that had just occurred would be believed, and so chose not to try to explain. Something absolutely unexpected happened: her eyes grew wide, and she smiled. Not jovial nor exuberant, just a show of the tiny shred of hope that this soul had as an advantage over the others. "Listen," the voice of a survivor came out of her lips, apologetic but hopeful, and struggling but sweet, "I do not by any means expect you to believe this, but I am so, so sorry. I used to think I needed to be more powerful. I thought I wasn't strong enough- look where that got me. Whatever you do, don't give up on who you are! Never." Tears came, but not sobs. Daylaria lived again.
  20. IC: (Almanacia) The Valkyr's eyelids shot open, her emerald irises shooting daggers at Tarnok with the utmost hate. "My name is Almanacia. If you're here to gloat, do not bother. Nothing you can say has not already been said by others, in more hateful tones than yours." Visions of a horde of Ga-Koroans shouting for her blood flashed through her head. "Gloating is pointless. I failed." A pause. "More importantly, if you claim to be Almanacia, why would I gloat? I fought Daylaria. So why does it matter to you?" Fury, then despair, phased through her features. "Daylaria is- was -a figment of my soul. My innocence. My heroism. Daylaria is what kept me from being a complete monster for a short time after my ascension into this world. Daylaria is now but a still, small voice deep inside me." "My name is Almanacia."
  21. Touche. I am, after all, more excited for the expedition.
  22. Another thing, somewhat related to the above: what purpose did the party serve? I mean, I know I was looking forward to stuff happening at the party. Like, legitimate stuff. At most, we got some conversation and a bit of drama before the Rora was killed. Then it was over.
