  1. IC: (Leah) "Put your hands up and fight, like a man." She did not know the crimes this man had committed, nor did she care. An order had been given, and she would happily oblige. Any man cowardly enough to beg deserved none of the mercy he so desperately cried for. She ignited both hands in flame, creating vents of fire, and slammed them to Howlett's temples. Should they hit, his head would burn, but he would not quite be dead immediately, as the flames were not hot enough nor attack powerful enough to damage the skull. His head would simply burn. No, the sharp shock of death's embrace would come subsequently... OOC: Left the last paragraph open for another member of the DA to jump in- wouldn't want to hog this. EDIT: Forgot to add. Flex: read this as though it is about to happen, not as though it is happening. I know my wording made it look like an autohit but that's not my intention.
  2. IC: (Icha) Suddenly the blizzard cleared, shoved off to the side as if it had suddenly gained sentience and dispersed itself. In it's absence stood Icha, two Ko-Matoran at his side. He offered Mahluk a hand, his deep voice following the gesture: "do you require assistance, my friend?"
  3. Not to switch topics or anything, but is anyone up for interaction in Ko?
  4. No, that's not what I'm saying. Of course not all PC's are two-bit, lame characters (in fact, there are tons of perfectly fine player characters, even some more supsrior to the Piraka in mh opinion), but there's no denying that such characters exist. And I'd rather see the Piraka make it through than them. I'm not even saying that's what would've happened, it's just a possibility I wouldn't have liked to see.
  5. I don't understand why anyone is dissapointed by Nuju's post. I'd rather have a beloved team of (infamous) characters get through to the vault than some two-bit character who won a contest or some such.
  6. IC: (Rano) The Eiyu kept herself away from the others, still somewhat alienated from her fellow crewmembers. She pondered her own weaknesses, the least among them not that her Twin was far from her. She would likely grow duller in her abilities as a Soulsword, but she would be able to study and review Dasaka lore in the hopes that the citizens of the Other Island would listen and tell her stories of their own. OOC: Rano open for interaction on the Chiisai Ryuu.
  7. IC: (Kol) Kol fired a crossbow bolt at the explosive projectile mid-air, causing it to explode prematurely and likely throw its shooter overboard. He was already off to inflict more damage to the ship, headed straight for the wheel, where hopefully he could take control of the ship and turn it to ram upon one of its sister ships.
  8. IC: (J'Con) A part of J'Con had expected such pathetic maneuvers as those that Syvra had extended. Killing an ally for petty reasons was the epitome of stupidity and the end-all of pointless arrogance. He had not truly been asleep, and his clever mind reacted quickly, one hand extended to the fruits and the other towards his ceiling. His entire concentration was focused on but three actions. Action one... self-preservation. He clutched thin air in his hand, sending an elemental signal to the area's gravitational field, throwing the fruit as far as he could just as they exploded, making them suddenly find themselves gravitated to the wall. As they hit, the wall imploded, and water gushed in at increasingly fast paces as it filled the cavern. Action two... escape. The slights and shifts in the gravitational field sent him rising away from the incoming waves and towards the ceiling. The instability from Syvra's explosives had caused it to begin caving in, allowing him to slip through the cracks as it collapsed. Exhausted, he lobbed himself onto solid ground, landing on his shoulder and sliding across the bay, tumbling over rocks and ending up flat on his back. He lay there, considering what had just happened, and wanted to puke at the fact that Syvra had tried this hard to kill him for no reason.
  9. IC: (Ryiu) Ryiu's soul drifted ethereally for milliseconds, phantom gaze set upon the twisted body he had seconds ago possessed, his (custom tailored ) clothing burned, torn, and incinerated leaving his bare green scales to shimmer in the luminescence of the lightstones. He quickly ran through his visible wounds, from least severe to deadly. He spotted several missing teeth, one or two lodged in Rirona's dead corpse. His entire left hand- entire left arm was on the other side of the room. An eye had been burned, but this was the first thing to regenerate. Shrapnel littered his entire body, creating tremendous pain. Various burns covered his skin, scales were broken or missing. His interal organs had been heavily damaged. A Toa would be dead by now. But if there was one thing you must remember about the Akrainid, it was that they are nothing like Toa. His healing kicked in rather quickly, minor cuts sealing and shrapnel being spit out like chewed gum. The bigger things, however...that could take days. And so he laid there, driftig in and out of consciousness, not wanting to die but not wanting everything to hurt so bad. The fight for survival began.
  10. Suicide bomber always gets the job done
  11. IC: (Ryiu) This was all well and good. Indeed, the guard was wont to take criminals such as this down in mere minutes. They were easily among the best warriors on the island. Surely they would've stopped a simple bank robber more easily and in less time than this. And yet they hadn't. Akrainid teeth bore, he kicked off his (very pricey ) shoes and let his reptilian feet do their thing. The lizard sped up in his run, rounding the bank and coming from Rirona's left side. She had to have given up by now. She was practically crippled! And yet she hadn't. A grenade found its way into her hand, and suddenly it became evident that if someone did not take action, the High Captain would be slightly less High and slightly more Late and Former. He had mere seconds as he saw her activate it, but that was all he needed. He lunged, clutching it into his claws as he jumped towards Rirona, hugging it towards himself in such a way that he would share the blast with the criminal. Just as their eyes met, just as the feet between them became inches, the time built into the grenade from activation to explosion ran out. It was now that he should've woken up from this dream, or come off of this high, or sober up. And yet he didn't.
  12. IC: (J'Con) At first, it seemed as though the Toa of gravity had again taken ethereal form. Then came the snoring. Syvra would find that J'Con had drifted off to sleep in the middle of his speech. He awoke somewhere between the Toa of decay's first ego trip and second unloading of verbal feces. He simply chuckled, laying back deeper in his bed. "You can tell yourself whatever keeps the tears from coming mon amie... Meanwhile I'll be delivering the information I found to Echelon. Don't worry, though, we can pretend you did more to help than tell me it was somewhere in the Po-Koroan desert. I'll even leave out the part where you put a deadly fruit over my head because of your crippling need to feel superior. Just wake me up when you're ready to leave." With that, he fell back into his slumber, a smug smile still on his face.
  13. IC: (Daylaria) "Oh yes, she's definitely dominating. Fortunately, I happen to be rather strong-willed myself, as a former Commander."
  14. IC: (Ryiu) Ryiu collected the launcher, sliding it into his belt and breaking into a breakneck sprint towards Rirona's position. She was no hand to hand combatant, that he could tell by watching her. She evaded rather than attacked: stuck to her guns (or rather, grenades) instead of taking him on. The Akrainid was prepared to assist the officers if need be, staying his silence but cane in hand, ready to strike.
  15. IC: (Viera) Viera considered raising her hand, but even the juvenile humor one might find amusing in such an act failed to amount to the lack of humor in her spirit at this point, and so she merely fell in line behind Anthyn, eyes to the ground and hands behind her back. If any of the Daedra were to glance at her, she would give them a downtrotten look of surrender and then cast her gaze back to terra firma. This was going to be a long year.
  16. IC: (Roshinua) 'Let's hunt criminals for sport."
  17. IC: (Ryiu) The Akrainid exercised his greater strength against her leverage and intensity. Swinging up the handle-end of his cane, he hooked it around the attacker's Patero launcher and yanked, hoping to pull the weapon out of her hand. If this did not happen, he hoped to pull her into his waiting fist for a knock-out blow.
  18. IC: (Ryiu) So there I was, in the midst of a bank robbery, when all of a sudden I realized I was unarmed. That was my first problem. A piece of hot debris snagged my shoulder, creating a considerable gash. That was my second problem. To solve these I took action, my cane becoming a weapon in trained hands and my natural healing taking care of the wound. I rushed the robber from behind, throwing off my (very expensive ) coat and aiming to knock her legs out from under her with a swift strike to the back of the knees.
  19. IC: (J'Con) "First of all, don't kid yourself. Echelon could've squashed you like an insect. Second, you don't understand," he roled his eyes as Syvra's obnoxious smirk, "how are you useful to me? I found and explored their base of operations. You had some maps showing where the base might be. Our mission was to find Blackrock, and you've been nothing but unhelpful. Exhibit A:" he pointed to the explosive fruit.
  20. IC: (Daylaria) "That would be great!" she said appreciatively. "Oh yes, the others... Well, one is Almanacia, the spirit of a Dark Valkyr entwined with a shard of mine- dark chick. The other is a Turaga criminal whom Ally consumed after he was imprisoned. He and I talked a lot while she had control. He doesn't possess the strength to take over, nor does he wish to."
  21. This game and its players have a history of finding things that don't reproduce and finding a way of making them do so.
  22. IC: (J'Con) "Just so we're clear...how exactly are you useful?"
  23. IC: (J'Con) It took him longer than ecpected, as he had explored the base thoroughly, but the Toa returned to consciousness, his body gaining life and eyes snapping open. He looked up at the explosive fruit above him. With a sigh, he gave Syvra a condescending look dripping with disdain and slight amusement. "Syvra, what the #### do you think you're doing?"
  24. IC: (Rano) "I can train with you if the need arises," spoke another voice from the other side of the Menti, "I consider myself a fairly adept swordsman."
