  1. IC: (Iiasmir) The Skakdi narrowed his brow. "And who is that?"
  2. IC: (J'Con) "I have no doubt that I wouldn't stand a chance against any one of you in a fight. That a will not disagree with..." he reached into his bag, momentarily causing the gathered to wonder if he stupid enough to take a weapon out against them. But he simply produced a bandage wrapping it around and pulling it tight with his teeth. "...I have no weapons. I am a scientist." He gazed around, looking at each of them. "I see fighters. All of you," he said, "but I possess an Iden. Rare around these parts. Now, you seem like a smart man," he said to Echelon in complete sincerity, "are you aware of the Iden's practical applications? With it, I can go anywhere, see anything, hear anyone, and they would be none the wiser. My espionage is top-notch. As a bonus, I'm a pretty good medic, if it's ever needed." He put his hand up to his wound, clutching it hard, teeth gritted. "Kill me if you want. But if you think you could use me, my services are for hire as long as you have the right intentions- I'm not interested in another Island Protection Squad or whatever..."
  3. IC: (Iiasmir) "I have no doubt that I can defeat your Reveler. By the end of the week I'll be back in Ta-Koro, a drink in my hand and cash to burn. Not a bad career choice, by the way."
  4. IC: (Iiasmir) The Skakdi smirked, turning and strutting off as if he owned the place. He beckoned one of the guards towards him. "I'm hungry. Go get me a steak," he ordered. If he was going to be stuck here, he would be stuck here in luxury.
  5. IC: (J'Con) The second the Toa of gravity heard a rifle being cocked, he reached out with his element and, for about three seconds, shifted the gravity of the entire space between himself and the group, hard. With any luck, the bullet would've veered off to the side and missed him. Luck, however, was not with him that day, and the bullet struck his outer bicep, passing through without majorly injuring him but creating a huge gash. With a snarl, he dropped the whimsical act and glared at the collected Toa, Vortixx, and Skakdi. "For Makuta's sake," he growled, "it was a simple question."
  6. IC: (J'Con) J'Con had been wandering for hours. Days, probably. Of course, time had been relative to him since the downfall of Makuta. Life had fallen into shambles, his efforts futile in the grand scheme of things. He hoisted his map, which he suspected was total feces at this point due to several discrepancies, and realized he was quite close to the vault. Or maybe not. As stated, the map was feces. Ahead of him, the fight with the Rahkshi was just coming to an end, and Ishi was being brought back to health. From the depths of the caves came a bony, skeleton-like figure, a torn black cloak hanging from his neck to mid-shins, a loaded pack cross-strapped from shoulder to waist. He was exasperated, holding up a map to a lightstone, desperately trying to decipher it. With a grumble, he crumpled it up and tossed it to the ground, muttering something along the lines of "piece of garbage" as he drudged on, unknowingly entering upon the scene of a Legacy reunion and interrogation. As he looked up, he kind of startled back a bit, but looked more surprised like one opening a birthday gift than one stumbling into a den of titans. "Why, hello there," he greeted, "can someone point me towards the oracle who lives in these caves? Big, scary-looking dude, probably speaks in riddles." He went on to begin a speech about his quest for the Abettor and how tragic it had been when he'd run into a Rahkshi and torn his cloak. "...and that's why one should never, ever brush one's teeth with a piece of granite." He finished. It was now that he noticed the corpses of several Rahkshi laying around and quickly went over to study the Kraata specimen before anyone could speak.
  7. IC: (Iiasmir) "My deal is as follows," he retorted flatly, "once I win your competition, we will become...business partners. Mutually beneficial. You will pay me the amount of cash I ask for, send me back home in luxury, and personally erect a shrine in my honor. Oh, and the assistant is mine." He gave a Skakdi grin, approaching the Toa and offering a handshake. "Deal?"
  8. IC: (Iiasmir) "You see, your men captured the assistant of a blacksmith in my territory. You understand that this is highly offensive, yes? Now, you are strong, and control a considerable force. You are a worthy opponent, but one I will cut down none the less. What have you to offer me?"
  9. IC: (Iiasmir) Just outside the tree prison, Iiasmir walked up to the guards, whom he stood a head over. With his two chainblades and natural malicious demeanor, he came across as very intimidating. "You're going to drop your weapons, and you're going to let these people go." He said these things plainly, as if he was making a business deal. Inside the tree, the prisoners were sure to hear him.
  10. IC: (Sucogu) The veteran held up a hand. "Another time," he suggested, "we'll trade war stories." He finished off his drink and stood, preparing to depart.
  11. IC: (Ryjak) By chance, the magnetic 'yank' had pulled the sword right out of Ryjak's hand, allowing the rock to miss his head by mere inches. For a few seconds he and his opponent were separated. The Toa used this small window of time to bolster his armor, turning the plates of metal into a full suit. He focused his powers on creating a cage of thick, heavy iron. Meanwhile, Maeydra used the distraction Kriigata had created for herself to go in for the tackle.
  12. OOC: Iiasmir from Ta-Koro. IC: (Iiasmir) The huge Skakdi, who had taken to climbing into the trees to continue following the two captors. When he reached the settlement, he became more and more confused as to what was going on. From what was going down, he could tell that there were multiple prisoners. He stroked his chin thoughtfully...maybe he could make more connections than previously considered. What to do, however? Free the prisoners, and gain their favor, or form an alliance with the captors and possibly gain an ally? Only time would tell.
  13. IC: (Iiasmir) The Skakdi continued following the criminals. OOC: Iiasmir to Le-Koro.
  14. Not gonna lie, this is pretty cool.
  15. IC: (Ryjak) The metal balls crumbled to bits, the shrapnel harmlessly striking him. For good measure, he did this to all of them, emptying Jaaku's arsenal. In return, he slashed out at his fellow Brother with both swords. Meanwhile, Maeydra took the hit without flinching, continue to strike at Kriigata. OOC: Sucogu post later- busy day.
  16. IC: (Iiasmir) The hulking Skakdi watched from a rooftop as two brutes dragged a blacksmith's assistant away. He stayed silent, but followed them. Maybe the blacksmith would supply his gang if he returned the assistant safely.
  17. IC: (Shaman - Hydra Battle) In a few short bursts of teleportation, another player arrived on the battlefield. Silver locks tight in a braid, the well-dressed superhuman had a palpable thirst for combat. He quickly fell in behind a line of infantry troops, pulling out his fire-arm and waiting for an opportunity to present itself.
  18. IC: (Roshinua) "Ril, go prepare a crossbow squadron. You," he motioned to their third compatriot, "follow me." With that he departed for Jaller's office, teeth and fists equally clenched but eyes wide open in a growing rage.
  19. IC: (Ryjak) Ryjak largely ignored the strike on Maeydra, instead focusing on the return fire. The metal ball dispersed in mid-air, until it was just little undersized marbles that bounced off of his armor. He quickly counter-attacked, causing Jaaku's armor to stiffen up, limiting mobility somewhat as Ryjak slashed at him.
  20. Any non-partygoers open for interaction in Kentoku?
  21. IC: (Sucogu) "Yes...I'd care to know a bit about yourself. If we're to spend much time together, we should know a little about one another," he said, "tea would also be nice." (Ryjak) Once Jaaku had his weapon, the battle began. Maeydra took a battle stance, Ryjak snapped his iron staff in two with his powers, even as the two halves morphed into twin swords. "Let us begin." Maeydra leapt forward like a trained dog, attempting to tackle Kriigata and rip her apart. Ryjak took a more reserved approach to attacking his opponent, forming five metal spheres, about three pounds each, and caused them to fly towards Jaaku at breakneck speed.
  22. IC: (Ryjak) Two newcomers arrived in the courtyard, one an undead Toa of water, the other a very much alive Toa of iron. "I propose a two-on-two, both of you versus me and Maeydra. After all, you can learn much more fighting beside him than against him. How does that sound?"
  23. IC: (Lhurai) There was something attractive to me about Desdemona's frailty. Her willowy-ness actually made me like her more, which is odd because usually I'm into the more filled out type of- ooh, she's wearing the bracelet! Man, that's a nice looking bracelet. Like, it's not even my style and I would wear it. "It was my pleasure," I crooned, shooting a wink over my wineglass as I took a sip. "This has been a wonderful party so far- and after all, why have a ballroom with no balls?" I did my best to clear my mental plane. I had, many times, fallen victim to letting my thoughts about a woman's appearance slip out over Ideatalk. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
  24. IC: (Ryjak) The sound of a pickaxe striking rock had been audible throughout Ryjak's quarters for nearly two days at this point. Now deep into the earth, Maeydra had dug a circular room, about twenty feet in diameter. The zombie grunted at the sound of a rope hitting the ground behind her, quickly followed by the sound of two armored boots clinking to the floor. Ryjak had arrived. "Rest," he ordered, causing her to slump to her knees. He took a lightstone and tossed it to her, illuminating the cavern. Turning to the walls of the new cave, he raised his arms to face them, palms growing warm from the outlet of elemental energy. Thump. Thump. Thump. Iron began conjuring itself, spreading like spilled liquid across the walls, floor, and ceiling, lining the entire room in the substance twice over. He clenched one fist and thrones began rising out of the ground, elegant and sturdy. With a wave of his hand, he beckoned Maeydra towards the exit, the bunker near-complete. For now, however, other matters were more important.
  25. IC: (Lhurai) I had made it into the party without incident. I had considered arriving fashionably late, but then decided against risking crashing the most important social event of all time. Being the aspiring lover and relentless jack### that I was, I nearly immediately abandoned my date and made way to where the Crown Princess was telling off a group of uncivilized hooligans. Even their fashion wasn't up to standard from where I stood. I myself had donned one of my iconic cloaks, this one bearing streaks of ochre (earthy brown for the uneducated) as well as a darker brown scarf, overall a beautiful sight to behold. "Princess," I greeted, taking a bow as soon as I was acknowledged, "I am Lhurai Yaigano of the Roku clan." Yaigano was a name that scarcely needed introduction. We were one of the foremost families of the clan, and as its First Son I was no different. Desdemona would likely remember me as that one guy who had, not a week earlier, sent her a very expensive-looking jeweled bracelet along with 400 words about her smile. Or maybe she wouldn't. Hopefully she would- that bracelet had cost a fortune. "So nice to finally meet you."
