Yep. People just gave up on Bionicle as soon as it ended. It seems the lessened story elements for G2 turned people away instead of attracting them like TLG hoped.

When "Generation 2" of Bionicle came around, a sub-group of the community split off and are known as the "genwunners". They believe this retconned Bionicle is nothing but trash, and in fact, is worse than Hero Factory.

Do we actually have anything saying that Makuta is driving his body around rather than just commanding or influencing him? Last I knew Kulta was just under his "control", which has a whole range of possibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if Makuta was controlling Kulta from some very remote location. The 'legendary masks' tend to pretty OP as we've seen, so the Mask of Control could be controlling every other villains we've seen so far. That's also assuming that Makuta has said mask. As far as we know, it was lost when he abandoned it for the MoUP.

Finally scored myself the Mask Maker Vs. Skull Grinder set. I gotta say that Ekimu is now my favorite "Protector" of 2015. He looks like a tank. Though, it kinda sucks that the Mask of Creation looks pretty 'meh' on him, TLG should've continued the crests around the sides of the head more....I'll just keep it on display. Kulta looks pretty sick as well. But I'm having a bit of trouble posing his arms in a way that doesn't look awkward.
