  1. Just got Basher and Warrior in the mail. Both really cool, I like Basher more, though. And that concludes the 2015 wave.
  2. It's pretty much a 'What if..." or an alternate reality like you mentioned. Even if LTG doesn't down right say it.
  3. I bought a 14k Gold Hau from Shapeways a while ago. Might sell it to some fool at a huge markup later on.
  4. Went too my Walmart today to get SS and Skull Scorpio, and when I arrived, it appeared they weren't there. So I had my brother look around and to my surprise, a couple of Scorpios and Slicers was hidden behind some Walking Dead sets as if someone was trying to hide 'em. I dunno why people still do that, lol.
  5. Skull Warrior. Though, Skull Slicer is reaaaaaalllly close.
  6. Just bought and built Skull Scorpio and Skull Slicer. And I must say, they're SO much better in-person than on their images on the web.
  7. Episode 10 of the Bionicle animations has just been released in Russian.
  8. I'd say they're more of a vocal minority than anything. Typically someone who feels very passionately against something (i.e. 2015 sets) is more willing to make a big deal out of it than someone who passionately likes them. That's why you can usually find the same person commenting about how much they hate the new sets on a few different YouTube videos, Tumblr pages, ect. I'd argue the contrary. The people who are put off by the G2 Bionicles are often going to stray away from mentioning, looking at, or purchasing anything G2 Bionicle-related. Source? Many of my Bionicle-loving friends. It's happens in the Transformers fandom all the time, mi amigo. There will always be people who like the OG stuff rather than the future stuff, no matter how good it is.
  9. What if that golden Skull Mask acts like a Mask of Ultimate Power proxy? Based on all those Russian images, it's meant to be placed in the middle of all six Toa masks on that little poster. Even though it might not have any story relevance, it might be when Kulta or whomever, "absorbs" or steals the masks. Stems from an older thought: What if the golden masks are shards of the mask of ultimate power. When ekimu hit the mask, it may have shattered, resulting in the massive shockwave. The protectors hid the masks so the mask of ultimate power would never be remade. The MoUP was revealed quite early on to have been made by combining all the elements into one mask.
  10. I think chairs are a sign that we as a society, aren't ready to move past the need to rest whenever we want. Sure, some provided the simplest of basic comfort anyone could want after working a hard job, but come on. Are they REALLY necessary? Why can't the big-brains come up with something that allows for someone to rest while standing? Same goes with marriage. If Matoran feel like their relationships need some sort of confirmation to prove that they are in said relationship, then sure. They can do that. But why would they? Why can't they just be 'friends in a romantic bond?
  11. Bought MM Vs. SG a few days ago, and Skull Basher & Skull Warrior off Amazon. Should be here by Friday, which is way too long.
  12. Marriage doesn't make sense in Bionicle though. Why would they NEED to? You don't NEED to have chairs in your house to survive, do you? No. So chairs don't make any sense at all. Let's remove chairs from existence. Nice straw man.
  13. Marriage doesn't make sense in Bionicle though. Why would they NEED to?
  14. What's going on here???! Come on Lego!
  15. The Admins on VZ made it sound like it was coming out later this year.
  16. Another promo?! Why don't you just rob all my money from me, Lego?!!!
  17. I find it difficult to believe that any of this is true. Any time "kids these days" is pulled out as an argument it seems to be based on some exaggerated idea of how glued to devices people are. An iPhone is not going to replace a room full of LEGO, and anyone who thinks it does probably won't be that interested in LEGO in the first place. Also, I don't see how The LEGO Movie could have done anything to hurt constraction, since while it was SYSTEM-focused it made no jabs against constraction lines (and included a brief shout-out to BIONICLE). What most people seem to be missing is that BIONICLE was a huge unexpected runaway success originally. The new generation isn't trying to fit that profile, so it's no surprise that it's not the same monolithic presence it was ten years ago. Well, whether you like it or not, 'tech toys' are defiantly effecting regular toy, including Lego, sales. My proof. And to address your other point, TLM was absolutely a 'jab' at the contraction line. At the movie was widely success, SYSTEM sets sold extremely well: Proof TLM was a jab at constraction?Um, I don't think that the movie's lack of constraction implied that it was trying to disrespect it somehow. Why would Lego "jab" their own products? Obviously they wouldn't do it on purpose, but that's what happens when a company focuses on one section without giving much attention to another.

  19. Should I get Battlefield: Hardline, or just wait for Star Wars: Battlefront?
  20. Registration has dropped off. There may be a number of factors involved. For instance, hiddenderek's graphs show data from 2004 to the present day. There was a good three years' worth of momentum behind the community then, which in 2009 began to dissipate: with the reboot, it seems as if we're starting from scratch. That said, I don't think we can sit back, be complacent, and expect things to grow again without some effort. It's a different time than it was ten years ago. So, at risk of heading into General Discussion material, how do we reach out to new fans? How do we retain them? Retention of fans isn't an issue I don't think. Finding and reaching out is. I would say that a good idea would be to establish a social media presence, but there are already several BZP social media accounts. Like you said, 10 years ago was a different place, and both Bionicle and the internet were different things. Also, in general, I think less and less people use/are aware of forums. I'm not saying they're going obsolete or anything, but the amount of forum usage is probably going down. I think it may be an issue with the toys themselves. It's been said many, many, times before on here: kids are more interested in gadgets and stuff these days and thus less inclined to buy action figures, thus they don't feel inspired to dig deeper. TLM has also had a negative impact on the constraction line, seeing as how no figures were featured in the movie and shifting most of the focus to system. I honestly think we're in the height of the inflow of new people. At least for the foreseeable future.
