  1. Erebus:

I remain employed by the New Orleans office, even though I haven't been there in over a year. I'm on a field assignment that relocated be 900 miles away. Once that assignment is done, I report to work in the office. In other words, I will not be looking for work in Illinois, in fact, I will move and not look back.

    B6:

According to the website, it's MLK weekend, not President's Day. We may end up there yet.

    Pinkie,er, Smeag:

The bird will make an entry this year. If a trip to the mid-Atlantic happens this August, it will not include Bonnie: she flew with us only because there was no other way, and we will avoid that until she's older. She may yet be that old in 10 months' time: we'll know then.

    GNG:

Which bridge? Did I actually talk about my bridge here?

  2. Renting textbooks is always an option.

Also, I would exhort you to not believe the upperclassmen when they say there's virtue in skipping class. It varies largely on what you're in college for: if a degree is your goal, class is where you belong. Quality Points won't come any easier than they do in the first 1-3 semesters.

If you're coasting along for something else, then priorities obviously shift.

  3. WHO DAT!

    WHO DAT!

WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS!

No team should win a game with a -4 turnover margin. No quarterback should throw over the middle late in the game. No quarterback should ever throw across his body when rolling out.

You live by Favre, you die by Favre: just ask the 2007 Packers.

Thank you, Vikings, for a most memorable, if not exhausting, game. Even though you still lead the all-time series 20-8 (2-1 in the playoffs), you are officially welcome on the Saints bandwagon to Miami.

  4. We do have a router, but it's not wireless. I'll just have to unplug TiVo and plug in the Wii win the occasion calls for it. That, or move the cable modem & router to the front room. Since we're moving in two-three months, I'm not sure it will happen soon.

Mario Kart is a future possibility, but Mario Bros. is going to be quite a stretch. The first two we plan to pick up are Wii Fit+ and Wii Sports Resort.

  5. No, see, the line is "Who dat say dey gonna beat them Saints!"

The response this week is, of course, "Not dem Vikings."

Ain't happening this year. This year is finally the Next Year we've talked about when we'd say "Wait till next year." This is the year of the Black & Gold Super Bowl.

Your team's road victories include Cleveland (5-11), St. Louis (1-15), Detroit (2-14), and Green Bay (emotional game for 4). Your team's road losses include Arizona, Carolina (not a playoff team), Pittsburgh (not a playoff team), and Chicago (not a playoff team until Cutler leaves). There is no way New Orleans doesn't become your 5th road loss this campaign.

    WHO DAT NATION REPRESENT!
