  1. OOC: To save time, I'm going to skip some of Vacir's smaller questions, such as Rahkshi and the other Koros. Assume he's mostly up to speed on species and locations at this point, unless he specifically asks otherwise.IC: Hearing this news troubled Vacir. If countless Toa had tried and failed to defeat Makuta, then how could countless more hope for a better fate? Trying to remain rational, he pondered his next steps."So you claim we are caught on the defensive, desperately trying to hold our own against hordes of powerful Rahkshi? I would think that the vast number of Toa on this island would be able to successfully combat such a one-dimensional attack. Or are there other threats that plague us?
  2. IC: Vacir was silent for a few seconds, then responded simply: "Never heard of them."Judging from the reactions of the others, he realized his mistake and quickly attempted to recover. "However, judging from the utmost respect you seem to hold for them, I have no doubt that they were fully capable." Changing topics abruptly, he continued "What brings five Toa to the coast, when the evil is inland?"
  3. IC: "We seem to get a lot of those... Anyway, first things first, this is the island of Mata Nui. Right now were in Ga-Wahi, near Ga-Koro," he said to the being, and pointed towards the floating village, "I'm Zauk, Toa of Lightning; over there is Naru, Toa of Plasma; Ravage, Toa of Crystal; Savina; and Tehlin, both Toa of Plantlife.""Not much variety in this group" Vacir remarked. "Pleased to meet you all. I must say, it is quite nice to meet another Plasma Toa," he said as he glanced at the apparently timid figure partially hidden behind another."I don't remember meeting many other Toa in the past, although I cannot seem to remember many things from the past at all. It is, however, good to have my bearings, so to speak. This "Makuta" intrigues me. Is he a great Rahi of some sort, a powerful dark Toa, or something else entirely?"
  4. IC: One of the three Toa had stepped forward to greet Vacir with a simple "Hello." Vacir began to speak immediately, giving only a quick nod as indication that he had even heard the greeting."My name is Vacir. As you probably noticed, I am a Toa of Plasma. I have just recently washed up upon the beach not far from here, and as such I am severely lacking in knowledge as to, well, much of anything in this land. I would presume we are on a large island, but beyond that, I am essentially void of information. I need to know where I am, who you are, and what the evil that I sense consists of."OOC: Feel free to dupe him a little if you want him sympathetic to your side...
  5. OOC: I was going to have him go to Nokama to get his questions answered, so how about running into your group near there? I still haven't decided whether or not Vacir's going into whatever EW is brewing up IC: As Vacir drew closer to the seaweed huts, he glanced up to see a large creature circling the village. Rahi, he remembered. Returning his gaze to the structures around him, he noticed three more figures - Toa - entering the village from another direction. Judging from their colors, he guessed that two controlled plantlife, while the third manipulated either air or lightning, though which he did not know. Vacir made for the trio, hoping to get some answersOOC: Couldn't tell from your last post how close those three were to Ga-Koro, so I have them just coming into it now. If something else has to happen to you three first, I'll just edit later!
  6. Uh oh... Vacir's almost at Ga-Koro now, but he still has no idea what's going on... come to think of it, neither do I for the most part :PSomeone that's there currently or going to be there soon, try to notice the Toa of Plasma that seems new... I need him to figure stuff out in-char...I'm also suddenly terrified of whatever EmperorWhenua is doing won't affect me... Vacir's a thinker, and I don't want his mind getting messed up ten minutes after washing ashore... or do I? hm...
  7. OOC: Acrophobia, my char's heading that way now... he just washed up; think those two could meet him at Ga-Koro and fill him in? He doesn't have to join your group or anything, I just need him to figure out what the heck is going on in-game...IC: Vacir was drawing close to the villiage. Upon closer inspection, he could tell that it sat on the water, filled with seaweed huts. There were several small blue figures scurrying about the huts, obviously about their daily buisness.Matoran, he thought to himself. Yet another piece of knowledge stirred from dormancy. One thing was certain: this was the place to find the answers he sought.
  8. OOC: Introducing my first char... well, my first char since the reboot Ignore me until after this battle subsides... that may take a while, from what I'm seeing!IC: Vacir opened his eyes, groggily rising to his feet. He was covered in sand and soaking wet. Though quickly able to surmise that he had washed up on a beach, any inkling of where he was, or why he was there, escaped him. Briefly scanning his surroundings, he noticed what appeared to be a village of some sort.Determining to make for it, he began to recollect what he knew about himself.I am Vacir.I am a Toa of Plasma. I serve the Great Spirit Mata Nui.I do not know what my Kanohi does, neither do I seem to possess a weapon. At the last thought, he stopped, puzzled. The knowledge he still held from wherever he had come from told him that Toa were warriors. Why then, would he not have a weapon? He looked back to where he had awoken, and noticed a glimmer of metal.Protodermis, Vacir thought to himself.Digging up the weapon, for a weapon it was, memories of battles flooded back to him. He remembered that this ancient staff had been given to him eons ago, upon becoming a Toa. He remembered wielding it against countless foes, though any details about who or why continued to elude him. The staff was of medium length, long enough to battle with, yet not so long as to be cumbersome. The sleek blade was slightly curved, and Vacir realized that it could be used to catch or throw orbs of energy... or Plasma. Acting on a hunch, Vacir summoned a sphere of glowing white plasma. The suddenness of his actions surprised him; he had not used his powers in what seemed like ages. He remembered decades of inactivity, spent honing his elemental power beyond that of a normal Toa. He remembered training with his staff, learning to outlast his opponent, and to strike the moment his foe made the slightest error.Remembering more and more of himself, however, did nothing to answer his questions. But all will be answered in time. Once again beginning to trek towards the village in the distance, though now equipped, he determined to learn as much as possible about this place. He could sense a great evil boding over this place, and he could feel that, somehow, it was his duty, his destiny, to fight it.Now I am awakened. Now I am whole. And the darkess cannot stand before me.OOC: I hope somebody gets that reference... long first post, but w/e. See you guys soon
  9. lol, your character must be a #####... jk jkAnd I may try the whole mark bearer thing out on another character later... I can't see myself going with more than two or three characters, though... these people with dozens of characters make my head spin... how do they keep track of them all? Anyway, thanks for the help... I'll just randomly wash up on the coast somewhere :PEDIT: ##### is censored here?EDIT AGAIN: Wow, I just failed hard. Just trust me that the word I used is not as offensive as you would think. Think Beef Jerky
  10. Thanks Despair. I had already skimmed those once, but I noticed a few more things second time around :)Are there any groups currently that wouldn't mind adding a character with no idea what's going on? I can use my char's curiosity to ask any specific questions that I feel like asking, as soon as I'm integrated with someone. I don't want to just randomly show up somewhere!
  11. I haven't posted in the RPG since before the nixing of Xa-Kuta, so my chars are re-starting. I have absolutely no idea what's going on, and, of course, neither do my chars :PAnyone got a good idea on how to get one of my chars started? I'm thinking of having Vacir (My main char) either wash up on shore near a group that's already together, or waking up from an amnesiatic coma in a cave somewhere with no idea of anything except who he is (think Kopaka in comic 1). Any ideas from you guys? I want to ease in slowly :PThanks in advance!
  12. Name: VacirSpecies: Toa of PlasmaGender: MaleCurrent Affiliation: NoneKanohi: Matatu, Mask of Telekinesis, in the form of a Yellow KualsiWeapons: Ancient Staff- Powerful and wise, Vacir has been mostly inactive for centuries, and has spent that time honing his power to allow much greater control over his element. His staff is curved to catch and fire spheres, a useful trait often used in conjunction with his element of plasma. Patient in combat, Vacir prefers to fight from a distance and wait for his opponent to make a mistake, and while this method is effective, it requires great concentration, making it both a valuable tactic and a potential weakness.- Vacir must maintain his concentration in order to remain effective in combat. As such, any sudden distractions or ambushes prove especially dangerous. However, if he stays focused, he is extremely formidable. Since he has honed his powers, he is more powerful elementally than most Toa, but slightly less powerful than a Toa Nuva would be (if they existed!). As a master strategist, he makes use of unorthodox attacks, particularly utilizing his Matatu.- Of particular note is that Vacir rarely uses slang or common language. Instead, his speech is more reminiscent of the early comics and books than of slang and the like.========================================Name: VereSpecies: Toa of IronGender: MaleCurrent Affiliation: NoneKanohi: Dark Grey Iden, Mask of SpiritWeapons: NoneAppearance: Shorter than average, lean, orange with dark grey armor- Quick and agile, Vere avoids the traditional tactics of Iron Toa, choosing to use stealth and speed in combat. His control over his element is slightly weaker than most as a result of his reliance on his unorthodox fighting style. Vere is generally passive, though quick to action when the situation requires it. Vere prefers to work solo, but understands the advantages of being in a group, especially since using his mask power is much safer with his body under the protection of others. He has no weapon at most points, instead using his elemental power over iron to craft his own when he so desires. This takes some time, but when he does make one, it is typically of the highest quality.- Vere's main strength is as a scout or spy. His combat skills are average at best, and he is more likely to flee, or avoid combat completely. In combat, however, he relies on catching his enemy off-guard, so an alert opponent will cause many problems for him. The fact that he rarely has a weapon on hand doesn't help.
  13. Kopaka is his favorite character (mine, too!) so there's no way he would ruin it by making him a GB. And he's confirmed that it's not Kopaka :)I could see it being Trinuma, but Krakua still seems like the most logical option imo...
  14. Best Quote Ever:"I have slept for so long. My dreams have been dark ones. But now I am awakened. Now the scattered elements of my being are rejoined. Now I am whole. And the Darkness cannot stand before me."Worst Quote:Anything from a movie. Particularly TLR.
  15. Krakua is the Great Being AND the Killer...

  16. I just posted a wall of text arguing for Krakua (or at least an OOMN member) in the "who is and isn't the GB" thread, if you want to check it out... it sums up the arguments for and against him...
  17. Krakua is recruited in a back story from BIA, and we're not sure exactly when it was; all we know is that it's before Karda Nui, and that he's a Toa by then. The recruitment episode could have been some time before the time slip, right? If so, he would not have been mind-wiped because he would have been in the OOMN by then...@aldian, I meant that a fortress being destroyed sounds like a fortress being destroyed, but if you hear something like a sonic boom, it would make it pretty obvious that sonic power was involved. Furthermore, rubble is one thing, but if it was disintegrated by a sonic shock wave, it would point to Krakua, giving away his identity...
  18. I haven't read the whole thread, so I apologize if someone already brought this up, but I'm 98% sure it's an OOMN member, for several reasons:1) No OOMN member was mind-wiped. Self-explanatory2) Dedicated to serving Mata Nui (GB would make sure MU robot finished his job)3) Most powerful/knowledgeable group in MU (GB would make sure to integrate himself with powerful beings and intelligence for when he needed to eliminate rivals)So for me the question becomes which OOMN member it is... It can't be Helryx, Axonn or Brutaka (All accounted for currently/confirmed by Greg), and the only other developed characters are the three writer-based characters (Tobduk and two others whose names I can't remember) Ancient (dead), Umbra (possibility, but not likely imo), Mazeka (not even remotely likely imo), and one more that has quite a bit of evidence for him...Krakua, Toa of Sonics.1) OOMN Member2) Different from other De-matoran (similar situation to Takua)3) Time Trap Incident (highly suspicious action coming from a common De-Toa)4) Clues within TPTB: a) "humming to himself" (Krakua was shunned by De-Matoran because he hummed a lot) http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png "baleful eyes" (just a re-usage of a fairly uncommon word, but still) c) "good day, if a noisy one" (Another sound reference)5) It would be awesome for a fan-made character to become a core player in the story (not really a logical reason, but you have to admit it would be cool)Of course, the TPTB references assume that the killer and the GB are the same person (the overwhelmingly more likely option imo; after all, only a GB would be able to easily kill TK and Karz, and have no worries about Helryx, Miserix, and other powerful beings in one place; also, "the plan" would match with what Orde found, and suit a GB).The only argument I could see against Krakua would be that he was apparently rigging the fortress to be destroyed ("a little of this, a little of that"), while his sword could "shatter mountains." This is a weak argument at best, though, because there could be a reason for him to not use a sonic vibration (it would be quite loud, and could possibly give him away because his power is unique, right?), and it's not even certain what "a little of this" means! So imo, Krakua is the most likely candidate.inb4someonesaysthatsomeoneelsealreadycameupwiththat
  19. I used to say "Loo-wa" and it became "Lee-wa" and stayed that way. I still say Vee-zon, but I'm saying Vay-zon too just as often. I pronounced Hahli "hall-hee" for a while, and my emphasis on Vakama and Nokama don't match, even though I'm pretty sure they're supposed to (vah-KA-ma and NO-kama).I probably still mispronounce others without knowing I'm saying it wrong 0_o
  20. ^Actually, most of the population escaped from the MU when Teridax died if I remember correctly...
  21. Ok Ok My philosophizing about who the GB is was out of place, but saying that the GB (whoever it is) is the murderer is a perfectly legitimate theory
  22. Personally, I'm pretty sure whoever killed TK and Karz is the GB that was in the MU. Think about it; he was there to keep an eye on them, and now that they serve no purpose to him except to possible rival him, he took them out of the picture... So the question becomes who the GB was... maybe Mavrah himself? Or at least someone in the Red Star? That would explain TK's image...
  23. Let's see... no, not from italy, and thanks about the sig :)

  24. Hey, Whazzup?

I just discovered your VNOG player, and I downloaded it, but when I try to play, it won't load the "action effects" portion of the game. It just stops there. I've gotten it to play in my browser, but I _really_ want the save feature... What am I doing wrong?
